This seems like a complete scam!
Received a message stating they saw some fraudulent activity with my Chase account. I had made a transfer the previous day so it seemed reasonable. When they answered my callback the first thing they say is their computer system is down but they could still help. That obviously is nuts so I ask who I'm speaking with. No answer, so I ask what company do they work for. They hang up.

Don’t do it.   I called Chase.    Big Major Scam.  People telling you to transfer here are part of the scam.   Always call your card before falling for this SCAM.  Chase said they would not use 877.   Not one of their numbers!!

This guy is so wrong.  Check with the real number.  It’s a scam!!  They even ask for your social security or debit card number.  Called the real chase and they said it’s not one of their number.

I was given this number to call by a Chase representative, but it was SUPER shady.  It was a poor connection with someone who spoke poor English.  Started by saying I won some kind of promotion and wanted to verify my card information, basically all the information that they would need to make transactions somewhere else.  Would not let me refuse the "promotion" and move on with the case.  I eventually hung up.  I called back the normal Chase number, was transferred to the fraud line, and asked them about the number.  They said it was the correct number but there should definitely be no promotions or anything involved.  I think Chase needs to look into if their phone lines are being hacked

This is real, from Chase. I got a call and the caller left a voicemail to call this number and pick option #3 regarding a recent account activity. I was asked to verify just my name, DOB, and debit card #. The operator then told me it was because Chase detected a transfer I made through Zelle (I did make it just hrs before), thought it was fraud, and blocked the transaction & my online banking access. I checked my online banking and I was really blocked lol, but the operator was able to verify my identity and I got my access back, yay! Also got an earful of fraud prevention lecture for free.

With that said, it is safer to dial the number yourself like I did instead of answering an incoming call.

I recieved a voice mail from this number about account activity. I just opened a Chase account a week earlier.  This is a Chase number and not fraud. My account was locked, so I went to the branch. The rep confirmed Chase called.

Same here I just got a call this morning using my actual name and said there was unusual account activity I do not nor have I ever had a chase bank account then to "sort" the matter out he wanted my social and date of birth then address to look into the matter I said well you called me so the phone number and my name are obviously linked to the account he said he couldn't look it up that way so when I said I needed his contact info to file a police report he said that wouldn't be necessary as they were going to send it to their fraud department it's a major scam

My son hot a letter saying that they stopped $1100 transaction .he never has chase card .it's scam they want your info then they make a card on your behave than cash it. Simple . They put it like this is high transfer  and they stopped it ,they want you to think there is other  small ones  so you would give in  your info to reveal  transaction. Smart bad people.

Do you often look up legit phone numbers? Besides, even if this is a legitimate phone number for Chase, scammers could be spoofing it.

This is a complete fraud folks! They even have duds replying to say they are truly chase. And I love that response - “ chase didn’t know it was their fraudulent number” 🤪

FRAUD ALERT! CHASE DOES NOT ASK YOU TO GIVE THEM YOUR ACCOUNT INFO WHEN THEY CALL YOU TO VERIFY A CHECK. IF THEY ASK FOR ACCOUNT NUMBER OR PERSONAL INFO _ DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. These people are immediately trying to capture account numbers! The answer is NO
