    POLITE RESPONDER replies to WHATEVER
YOU GOT ME! :) LOL. IT IS WRONG TO PRESUME ANYTHING... ESPECIALLY THAT I AM DAVID.  OR EVEN THAT I A MAN! DO I WRITE LIKE THE WAY A BILL COLLECTOR WOULD?! I AM OFFENDED THAT YOU WOULD GROUP OR CATEGORIZE ME AS SUCH. AFTER ALL THE HARSH DESCRIPTIONS I'VE READ ON THIS PAGE ABOUT BILL C0LLECTORS I WILL, WITH HESITATION, ACCEPT THIS INSULT WITH A SMILE.  YOU DON'T KNOW ME PERSONALLY, SO I WONT TAKE IT TO HEART! I AM EMBARRASSED WITH MY POOR SPELLING AND CERTAINLY ADMIRE THE BANTER. I DESERVE IT! LOL! AT THE TIME I WROTE IT I WAS CERTAINLY WAS NARRATING LIKE AN IDIOT... I DIDN'T USE SPELL CHECK -- BECAUSE I USUALLY I AM PERFECT! LOL. ANYONE WHO READS THOSE ERRORS CAN IDENTIFY THEM AS BEING FROM 'SPEED-TYPING' (TYPO) NOT FROM LACK OF KNOWLEDGE!  I DO NOT THINK I AM BETTER THAN ANYBODY! THOSE WHO KNOW ME, KNOW I AM HUMBLE. I AM COURTEOUS, POLITE, RESPECTFUL, AND HAVE HONOR! I ALSO HAVE BEEN IRRESPONSIBLE AT TIMES AND MADE POOR DECISIONS MYSELF. NO ONE IS PERFECT. WHEN I SCREWED UP BADLY IN LIFE, I DID SOME PATHETIC THINGS. I NEVER THOUGH LOST SIGHT OF MY INTEGRITY. I COMMUNICATED WITH LOVED ONES AND BILL COLLECTORS. I WAS HUMAN ENOUGH TO GIVE THOSE WHO HAD HELPED ME THE COMMON COURTESY OF AN OPEN LINE OF COMMUNICATION. I NEVER RAN OR PUT MY COWORKERS, FAMILY, AND FRIENDS IN THE GOD HORRIBLE POSITION WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE TO LIE FOR ME.
******IF I HAVE OFFENDED ANY OF YOU, WITH ANY OF WHAT I'VE WROTE, I APOLOGIZE! "I JUST CALL THEM LIKE I SEE THEM"!!!******
IF YOU READ CLEARLY ALL THE BLOGS, I HAVE ALREADY TOLD YOU WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING. I DO BELIEVE THOUGH THAT CONSUMER ENERGY CAN BE BETTER USED FINDING SOLUTIONS TO AND NOT AVOIDING THEIR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. IT IS SIMPLE! IF YOU OWE A BILL, PAY IT BACK! TO PROJECT FRUSTRATION TOWARDS THE PEOPLE TRYING TO COLLECT IT, IS HARD NOT TO DO, BUT IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. WE MUST CHALLENGE OURSELVES AS INDIVIDUALS, PARENTS, AMERICANS, HUMANS, TO NOT DISTORT THE IDEALS OF WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG!  IT IS WRONG NOT TO SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE MADE PROMISES TO! IT IS RIGHT TO DISCUSS YOUR PLANS FOR SOLUTIONS! BY THE WAY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR PERCEPTION IS OF WHO YOU BLOG ABOUT, BUT I, "POLITE RESPONDER", AM A PROUD MOTHER OF TWO AND MAKING IT ON MY OWN!!!! SURPRISED ??????????
FINALLY, I WISH YOU THE BEST! ALL OF YOU!

My mother, father, and sister in law all received harrassing phone calls from a "Robert" with this GL Recovery group. They told my mother in law that they were coming to her house with a sherrif to have me arrested that night, when I in fact have never lived at that address and actually live in another state. They used very vulgar language with her. I have an old debt which is FAR PAST the SOL. I recently filed a dispute through Experian with this company because they had the same debt reported twice on my credit report. This undoubtedly angered them. I then called them to ask for their mailing address to send them a cease and desist letter. They literally yelled at me for asking for something so simple. They refused to give me their address. I have never received a phone call from these people and realize they must be an extremely shady company if giving out their mailing address is such an issue. They are morons because it is actually listed on my credit report. What they are doing is illegal and I have no obligation to them. If they do this once again I will be contacting the police department, and perhaps consider legal action against them.

The guy called and left me a msg on my machine asking my brother to call back with ext 114;  I suspected that this is a collection agency searching for info on anyone they can.  I called back and asked for the type of business they are in.  The guy told me that they do a "lot of things"  I called back to the front desk and received the same type of answer.  You guys just confirmed it.

I am using my name for all too see.  Writers using all capitol letters, "Doth protest too much!"  The participants of this blog should not be labeled due to the fact that they fell on difficult economic times.  On the other hand the individuals that result to crimes equal to stalking and acts of personal terrorism should see what life is like behind bars.  Debtors are not bad people, but the same can not be said about this collections agency.

Another writer used a colorful expletive to describe karma, it is a wicked mistress that if you believe in it or not will come back to give you more then what you put out into the world.  The old adage is true that you get more bees with honey then you do vinegar.

Remember folks the louder and more threatening the collections agent is the more afraid they are of either you, loss of income or of their own boss.  They have just as much to lose as you do.  Do not let them tell you otherwise.

Ron, something similar happened to me and my story is similar to that of others on this blog. The debt they are attempting to collect from me is past the Statute of Limitations as well. They are junk debt collectors and I intend on ignoring their every desperate attempt. Just a matter of time before [***] hits the fan with this so called company. I have also contacted my Attorney Generals Office regarding this company and encourage others to do the same.

Statute of limitations is for litigation, not collections. They are allowed to attempt to collect a debt even if they are unable to file a lawsuit.

Yeah, you were going to pay but your almost a out of statute of limitations. C'mon guy, you weren't going to pay regardless of how you were treated since obviously they contacted you after years of nonpayment. If debtors want to end the collection process, you have two options, pay or file BK. We (bill collectors) are only doing our job. If you take one of these 2 options, YOU put the matter to rest. It's the best way to end the calls.

I got a call from a guy named Fred Thompson,He claims that I owe a Debt
from2004,I didn't reconize the debt, and asked him to send me a copy of
the debt, and he responds,Why would I do that? Then he responds how about
I presnt this to you in court, then I told him this call is being recorded, then he hung up. Last week I got a call from him on my voice
mail,he said he had questions about my address, and said he had docments.
I didn't call back, the two days later my job gets a call saying Mr Thompson got papers for me,Then I called him and left a message, imforming
not to call me at work, because I'm not allowed to recieve phone calls, and
its against the law to call me at work if he knows that I can't recieve calls.
What can I do,I can't find this address, anyone no it?

How did you get this addreess, because I have a complaint about this company, and can't find address, this company called my work and said he's
an officer, and he was going serve me papers, which is false because I checked court records in San Diego, and Orange County, and know law suits
    pending in those areas.

These guys are operating illegally.  I just got my first call today, they were asking for Viola and presented themselves in a very deceptive way on my answering machine.  When I called them back, I got an answering machine. Then thye call me back saying they got a call from this number.  I was a collection manager for many years and know this company is operating in violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection practices act.  I informed them to remove my number from thier database.

The best way to stop being harrassed by this collection agency is to

I just started receiving calls from this number. The person that leaves a message is "Randall" and he is extreamly rude. I can not beleive the way he spoke to me on the phone... telling me that I was going to be sued and asked me to confirm my Social Security number. I mean what the heck??!??! This is absolutely insane. I just lost my job... talk about financial hardship. oh well, what else can I do. I told them to sue me.

This number has been calling our house for the past few days looking for my wife. She was finally home today and talked to the person on the line. They wouldn't discuss the reasons for reaching her until she talked to them which was good. On the other hand when she did talk to the person on the line it was immediate accusations with lines like "you'll never get an apartment" and so on. She tried to discuss payment plans and was told they only wanted a lump sum. They also told her that they weren't a collections company(which is a lie) and were instead a company that prepared debts to go to lawsuits for the main debt holder and unless she paid right away they would sue and garnish her wages and so on. They probably bought the debt cheap after it was written off and will try high pressure tactics to see if they can get anyone to pay.

Let this be a lesson to credit card companies. She had three cards but only two would work with her on payment plans. They are now paid off. The third wanted super high payments, or a lump sum and got nothing. This company will get nothing too.
