That number is 562-697-7237 - S.Reed| 1 replyI have received numerous rude and unprofessional calls from Joe Hernandez and Marshall Brown in regards to finalizing my payments. They continuously call my job with my colleagues!! I did not authorize a payment which was taken out without my consent! I want to make a complaint NOW!!!

- ADAM replies to C.B.T.the money you paid did go towards your debt for US bank. us bank gave up on you and they sold the debt to a company designed to scare you into paying it. there are rules and regulations set up that the company needs to follow however not all companies follow guide lines. i.e enron, general motors... companies dont follow rules all the time but it doesnt mean they are a scam. a company like glr group uses scare tactics to frighten you into paying the debt by telling anything they can to get the money.
my guess is you were not swindled and your money went towards clearing your debt. check your credit report in a couple weeks and see if your score advanced or if the debt still stands. - lesley replies to Padre Fanthis operation is the foulest i've ever dealt with.
they called my landlords and stated that myself and 2 of my adult kids had applied for loans and listed the landlord's property as ours, in an effort to use it as collateral. NOT! we did nothing of the kind. the agent is a blatent liar. he continued to make false allegations against me to my landlords. he told them one of my sons lives with me, and he does not, etc, etc, etc. they live next door to me, and i talk with them just about every day, they know who lives in my house.
when i called and talked to him, this agent stated my landlords were lying to me...like i'm going to believe him over the people i have rented from for 11 years? yeah right.
i asked him many times to send me copies of the loan applications he stated he had, that myself, son, and daughter had applied for. he refused, stating it was none of my business. wtf dude? uh, it is my business when false allegations are made against me and my family. my integrity is on the line here, as well as the trust i've built with my landlords over the years.
i then asked him to send the investigation reports to my landlords. again, he said no, "it is not their business." so let me see here...false allegations have been made that i have put their property in jeopardy of a lien against my outstanding debts, and it's none of their business to have proof?
as he continued to banter, back-pedal, and put me on hold twice, i continued to address the issues. he never once gave me a straight or truthful answer. he even stated that he is not the person who investgated my case, and he didn't have the report. what? well isn't he an idiot.
he would not accept the amount of money that i can afford to send on this debt. and stated i am going to be sued. well, okay. i can't do anything about that.
i asked if he would be present during this hearing because i will be addressing the false allegations, and i'm sure my landlords will back me up in court.
he continued to tell me i was going to be sued for defaulting on my credit card. well duh. like i don't know i stopped making payments?
not that this gives me any leeway, or absolves me of my debts, but i was injured on the job twice 5 yrs ago. have not been able to work since, and am on ssi. i am in severe pain every single day. can't see a workers' comp doctor because mine left town, and none of the others are accepting new patients. so, i have been w/o adequate pain management for 3 yrs. i went from working 2 jobs and making $2500/month, to less than $900/mo. i did everything i could to pay my debts. but it came down to being able to buy my insulin and other necessary meds and food, or paying my credit cards.
it's been very humiliating to default on my debts. and like i told this [***] of an agent, does it make anything better, or get the debts paid off if you call the landlord and put the tenant in danger of being evicted? i am truly lucky to have such awesome landlords, who saw this for what it was. but i am certain there are other poor folks out there who are not as lucky, and have ended up homeless. - FYI replies to ross| 2 repliesYou state that we need to follow the law. I agree. Yet debtors do not. Only we are accountable? Apparently. Maybe I need to initiate a bill collector blog! Like how about the person that doesnt pay a $500.00 yet get's into a $800.00 a month auto loan? Let's face it, it people paid their bills, we wouldn't have a job. Debtors just look for loophole's in the system to avoid paying there debts.
- Clown replies to FYI| 1 replyYou're a clown, plain and simple. How does saying other people don't follow the law absolve you of same? By your logic, if Jeffrey Dahmer kills and eats someone then I should be able to do it too, just because he did. GET A GRIP. Follow the law and quit bottom feeding and wringing pennies out of poor old ladies.
- FYI replies to Alex Deveraux"Remember folks the louder and more threatening the collections agent is the more afraid they are of either you, loss of income or of their own boss."
Not always true Alex. I have always maintained a firm yet professional approach. I do see my colleagues at times lose there temper but folks, you're only hearing 1/2 the story. Do you know the amount of verbal abuse we put up with? I have called person's before and I have only asked for the person and immediately been berated with insults ranging from racial to obscene suggestions regarding my mother! Get that 20 times in a row and by 21 you lose it! Again, I personally do not but I have witnessed it. As I stated in this blog before, pay or BK, either way you put the matter to rest. If you actually extended some courtesy to the person that's calling you, you maybe able to come to terms with a method of payment that both you and the agency can live with.
Good luck. - Ned replies to SUEDWhat's the difference? If you don't pay, you get bad credit. If you get a judgement against you, you get bad credit. If you DO pay, you still get bad credit. I still have half a dozen things on my credit report that were paid off years ago plus "extra fees" and other nonsense. No good deed goes unpunished. They only have power if they can create fear in you.
- Ross replies to S.ReedTheirs a phone number on my previous blog,Its to a lawyer thats sues
debt collectors,I just got done suing these people, and they settled
for 5000.00 dollers. The lawfirm is real good, and they won't charge you
unless you win your case. give them a call.Thier number is 1-818-244-3905,
and the name of the law firm is Norman Taylor and Assocites - YEP replies to C.B.T.i found a website for them: www.glrecovery.com and it has name and numbers of some of their attorneys. I called them and they all confirmed that they work with this company! I looked for the website cuz they sent me a letter saying theyre sending my account to an attorny if I dont pay them so i wanted to see if its legit.
- FYI replies to ClownYour blog illustrates my point. This is the insults and attutudes we deal with. People tend to be braver than they are in real life when they are anonymous. I didnt insult anybody, I simply stated a my point of view. And here comes the insults. No problem my friend, I've heard worse. I understand some of it comes out of frustration of dealing with bill collectors over the years.
- Pissed| 8 repliesI had been receiving letters from these butt holes saying that they own my debt and that they were lawyers going to sue me. So, I went through the credit reporting agencies and disputed the debt and asked for validation. Well, long story short it came back validated and this GLR started calling my job, my cellphone and my mom (by the way Equifax lists your employers and numbers). I reported it online so I never got proof. Plus the amount is almost 3 times the original debt. Do not be fooled by these butt holes get validation and don't take their [***]. They can't garnish your wages without taking you to court and proving debt validation. Not to mention they were trying to call me by nicknames. I had several different versions of my name on my credit reports.

- XXX replies to Padre FanThis company is a debt buyer .... they buy your past due bills... most of them are what collectors say as "out of stats", meaning the statute of limitations to sue is long gone .... check with your state but in CA it is 4 years from the last date of payment ....good thing about debt buyers is they can settle your account at whatever they want since they are the owner of the account. So if they call you, tell them you want a settlement, when they tell you to pay X amount of dollars.... offer half that. Good Luck ....

- Some More replies to Ross| 2 repliesHey Ross I looked you up and also see that a Judgement was granted against you. I wonder if you would have tried to work with them if you would be paying less. See the point is even though the slim bucket collectors as we call them may get sued the debt is still yours. And Ross will you care to tell the blog your outcome. Yes it is on the web for all to see.
