- K| 5 repliesP.P.S. One more thing. No REAL employee of a world class business such as this would waste their time chatting on these forums, ripping apart upset customers...and telling them to pay their bills. You losers that are writing things above and trying to make this scam look like it is not truly a scam are not only pathedic, but bitter individuals. You truly live depressing lives. How the [***] do you live with yourselves. No wonder you do what you do?!
Again.
Pathedic!- Caller: TD Canada Trust

- time well wastedI had received a few calls from various numbers all stating that they are from TD (not TD Canada Trust but just TD). I am not sure if they are valid or if they are just a scam but each call was put through to voice mail. I never leave my name or any personal information on my outgoing greeting for voice mail. It's none of their business in the first place. As far as I am concerned this is a collections department for TD (but I'm not discrediting anyone's statements regarding this being a false or Fraudulent representation) and they are looking for someone named Darnell Latowski or Lakosky or some variation of that name. I guess that the person may have had my number previously and has some outstanding debts with many services. I don't necessarily suspect this number to be fraudulent because this individual has given my number out to several agencies pretending that it is theirs. It is really frustrating because every time I have to call one of these collections groups to ask to have my number removed (based on the fact that i don't know or have anything to do with Darnell) they take at least 3 days before the change takes effect and by then this scum bag Darnell has gone ahead and encored even more debt while distributing my number! I am going to call TD collections department again for the 5th time and ask them to update their file. If you are in my position one word of advice I can offer is that when you call these numbers to ask to have your number removed DO NOT give them your name or any information other than the reference number they have provided along with the number that is to be taken off of their calling list. If you offer your name as a means to prove you aren't who they are looking for, they just add your name to that persons file and they will now associate you with the person in debt.

- Sam replies to :)Very classy response from a TD sub-contractor.
This company is contracted to by TD they do not have current account information available. - Fred Anderson| 2 repliesReceived calls with messages to call this number with a reference number. All they will say is they have important confidential information and then want ME TO GIVE THEM INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, absolutely not.
I checked online and my ONE credit card with TD is current and paid and has been so for quite a while. So who the hell are these people. The phone number is not listed on the TD website.
If it turns out that this is TD then I will be closing my accounts since they obviously up to something that has nothing to do with bad debts.- Caller: TD ?
- jenn replies to I reported iti don't know what it is, but i don't have a good feeling about this.
i received a msg at work (where we have a new number that i do not share in my contact info anywhere) and the person didn't identify themselves, didn't say where they were calling from and only gave the number and the reference number.
when i tried returning the phone call, there was no ringing on the other end, and no answer either. so, i googled the number and found these pages. when i saw that there was a connection with TD Canada Trust, i just phoned their easyweb line because surely i could look after whatever i needed to look after by calling them. the person there checked all my accounts, and everything was fine and had been properly paid for the last 6 months. she indicated that this phone call appeared to be a scam and not to give any information over the phone.
about 6 months ago, i received a call from TD telling me that my bank card had been compromised and it was suspected that a copy had been made. i had to go into my local branch and get a new card etc. i'm wondering if the two things might be connected.
not all was lost though...turns out i qualified for a much better interest rate on my visa and a new type of card. so goody for that :) - haha replies to X| 1 replywow X. you are defensive and sick. get a job.
- LOL replies to KLol you are so dumb
- LOL replies to Fred AndersonLol you are so dumb
- Happy TD customer| 1 replySCAM!!!! Do not give them your personal information!! If it was either TD Canada Trust or a collection agency, they would HAVE your information already!!! You wouldn't need to give it to them!! I've spoken to both TD Canada trust and their fraud department about the harassing calls I have received from 1-877-766-7696.... The end result.... Unknown phone number, unknown account number.....hhmmmmm, nothing like a scam call with your morning coffee!!

- SE| 2 repliesThey call here, trying to sound like a collection department. Funny thing is, they have no information about any accounts at all. If they were really a collection department they would have to send you a demand letter by mail before calling you, that's how it works.
Do not give these scumbags a moments notice and certainly do not give them any personal information. Anyone on here saying they are legit are obviously the criminals themselves. - :) replies to KYou don't know a lot, do you?
- :) replies to SE| 1 replySo, if they call you again, you forgot to pay your VISA or Line of Credit again?
Be prepared! - :) replies to Happy TD customerHave a branch call this # and even report it to the highest level you can think of. BTW, it's been done with no problems except to the person owing $$ to VISA or TD! HA!
- :) replies to Fred AndersonIt does have to do with bad debts, that's why they call! It may not be only a credit card but other TD products. Most people are surprised when they check their credit score and find they are at fault for something they ignored. I don't feel sorry for them at all.
- X replies to hahaI do. I call these people and make $$! HA!
- X replies to KPathedic? Did you fail grade 2 again?
