Complete opposite, really.

My payment was 10 days later which almost never happen's but excuse's aside this is a company that is somehow affiliated with TD Visa card's for late payment accounts. These loser's were nothing but a useless waste of fore-skin, who did not even have accurate account info. They wanted a payment which i had already made that morning and I had to scream over the stupid [***] to make my point. In short i hung up called TD Easyline and talk to the usual educated and friendly staff, who agreed that I had acutally made my payment all be iot a bit late. That was 3 days ago, today [***] Bob call from this number......I gave him my name and the stupid bugger goes silent "hummmm sir it seems that we have no reason to call you....very sorry must have been an auto dialer", then promptly hangs up.lol.

I've done some research and although they handle TD Visa accoounts they are NOT affiliated with them......thier actually part of a real scum company in the states called Collect Corp....google it and you'll see thier real shaddy past..they basically higher High School drop out's and pay them min wage while supervisor's beat them into submittion to collect on account that are commisioned based....in short hang up on them call EasyLine and deal with your bank...hope this helps

No its not TD it is in fact a scam.....try calling back the # you get no answer! I checked with my back and im in good standing....SCAM dont answer

This is a scam!!!!! I called TD bank to see what the problem was after about 15 calls from this # in a 1.5 day period, Im in good standing with them they didnt call me apparently. They advised me not to give personal info to this # and that it sounded to them like a scam.....I think the poeple on this list that claim this # is ligitimate are in fact the crooks who generate these calls ...SCAM

Dear Confused....you are correct...BUT a word about your report:....in English, plurals do NOT HAVE APOSTROPHES.....reading your report was painful.....and in business life, spelling DOES count!  Apostrophes are for possessives and where there are letters missing, for example the contraction of 'cannot' : can't, or 'do not'...: don't.  (Levi's for instance, are jeans made by a guy named Levi, Levi Straus, who invented blue jeans...this is a POSSESSIVE, not a plural)

Please, it's bad enough that people in this country can't even pronounce "February" correctly, (it has TWO Rs) without the spelling mistakes as well.

Got called a couple of times call our banks it not TD Bank.So next time I answer They will hear something from me.

This # is from TD Visa. I called the TD Visa directly and they said this was a ligit number for the claims department notifing us of a late payment. Not a Scam! I thought it was at first because the first couple of times I call this # they kept hanging up.

Several calls from this number and it sounded reasonable but still - I like to confirm I'm speaking to TD before giving out personal information.  TD Easyline says they don't know the number, nor does TD Visa.  They say Fraud is a separate department, but all their numbers are 1-866 numbers not 1-877.

no really it is TD take the # and the ref # in to a branch and get them to call the # its real and if u just pay ur bills they wouldn't be calling

take the # to a TD branch and have them call its not a scam

REAL # have TD call them for u.........it means u haven't payed ur bill

I got a call from 416-935-2848 claiming to be TD, they asked me to contact TD at 877-766-7696 with a reference number then 10 minutes later I got a call from 877-766-7696.

This dicussion is point less if it were a scam would they ask u to make a payment to ur own acct at ur bank  go figure u ppl ar too smart for these scam artists that ask u to pay to ur own acct

Received a call from this phone number, however when I answered the phone the line was dead and eventually the caller hung up. No Message, No Automated Service, Nothing!

Received a call from this number at 14:43 EST today.

The call started with an automated machine advising that a representative was standing by to answer the call or I could call TD Canada Trust at the stated number that called me.

Spoke to a representative who was calling with regards to an overdue TD GM Visa card. Requested no information and politely inquired as to payment status. After advising that a payment was already on it's way via EasyWeb, she thanked me and politely ended the call.

Received a message with a reference number, tried to call, kept getting disconnected when pressing 1 for English, transfered to Bell Canada Receivables when pressing 2 for French.  Tried a few times and finally got through to someone on the English line, I gave my reference number and they immediately started asking for my name which I refused to give (they should have had it), they told me they could go no further. I told them I would follow up with my branch.  I did and my branch informed me that they are not aware of this number being a TD number.

Do not trust this number, call your branch.

I keep getting unwanted calls from this number. Could you stop them?

I believe the agency that called is legitimate only in the fact that they are trying to collect a delinquent account. They answered as TD Canada Trust but could be an outsource agency. I indeed was delinquent on a payment for 3 weeks - an oversight on my part only. I had already received reminder letter and immediately made the payment. My 'beef' is the agency should check their facts before they call each time to be sure the account is still delinquent. That makes me believe the call I received was from an agency outside TD Canada Trust.
They left no message which also burns me, but they were courteous when I called back. Bottom line - make your payments on time and they won't bother you.

this number has been calling me multiple times per day, for WEEKS. some of these calls have been as early as 6 am. they usually leave a vague message that says almost nothing. however, every once in a while they leave a longer more detailed message saying they are from TD bank. the biggest problem is that they ask for the name of a person who is not me! the name they ask for is a) different each time, and b) sounds nothing like my name at all. i have called them back (they had no idea who i was and did not have any information about any of my actual accounts) and asked them to stop calling me, but it has made no difference whatsoever. they continue to call, and i am quite convinced they are just a scam. if it was really TD bank and i really was delinquent on anything (which i am not), i would have gotten a letter from them by now. SCAM SCAM SCAM
