repeated, daily calls from this number, and there is never anyone there. I, too, had once inquired about school information.  I do not want it now, and its been an awful long time since I did. I want the calls to stop I get a couple of them each day, always at very inconvenient times. I hate them.

If you have given your information to any company, whether it is on line or over the phone or on an application in person you are considered to have a "business relationship" with that company and no amount of "do not call" registering helps.  All "legitimate business relationships" are exempt from the registry.  I get calls from this number all the time because I once said, about three years ago, that I was interested in receiving some school information.  Someone calls me about every 3-4 months,  Usually all it takes is to pick up the phone and say you're already enrolled in a Masters program at Nunya University for them to stop calling for a while.

I have received THREE calls today, alone (in the span of six hours). The ones I answer are 'hang-ups' - I answered, and said hello about a dozen times - they hung up (EACH/EVERY time) at eight seconds.

Of the times I did not answer - as at first, I just didn't know the number, and didn't want to answer (but later answered because I got tired of receiving calls) - no voice messages were left (thus why I got tired of the calls faster, since no messages were left, either).

    This is ridiculous.

Though, I noticed other complaints re: colleges - I've gotten a couple of calls from different numbers/companies.. one of which is about me 'applying/interested in a professor job', another about enrolling into university in another state - I'm ALREADY in school, with degrees, and currently enrolled/taking classes; so there's no reason for them to have my information, let alone the incorrect information.

YOU NEED TO FILE A COMPLAINT.
    GO TO:
    https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

After filling out all the information, in the 'comments' section - include a link to this page, here (https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-874-5811) - and mention that there are 36+ pages of people with the same issue, 34+ pages just being from this past month.

In the 'company' part of the information form, I put 'unknown', and then (in the 'comments' section) explained that www.phonepeople.com has stated/responded saying that people are spoofing their numbers.

    I hope that helps.

    SO..
    1. Register all numbers with the DO NOT CALL LIST: https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx
    2. File a COMPLAINT: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
2A. Be sure to include a link to this page and any others you have with the same information/complaints - I know there are about a half-dozen other websites for the same type of 800-number complaints/issues.

    I FINALLY got a person!

We were disconnected at 3:22, and he called back from this number: 302 727 0810

I asked to speak to a manager, and he kept asking the issue - asking if contacting me by phone was the issue, or if I didn't want to receive the issue. I kept asking to be transferred, telling him that those are not my issues, that I had information that his manager should know, and that pretty soon THIS would be a issue (him not transferring me and asking the same [***]). He ended up hanging up on me.

I called the 302 number back, and left a message. If I don't receive a call back in 24hrs, I am going to the BBB about this gentleman and the company.

After doing some research on the phone numbers, I just got off the phone with Level 3 Communications.

    302-727-0810 is owned by Vonage Holdings Corporation - 866 243 4357
    877-874-5811 is owned by Global Crossings - 800 466 4600

    I am calling Vonage, now.

The owner of the 302 number is CURRENTLY under investigation, and has been issued a final warning.

I have kept notes for all my phone calls and information, below.

    http://www.level3.com/Contact-Us
    1200noon, called Level 3 Communications (720-888-1000)
told woman my story, transferred me to Gary Olson (left voicemail at 1206pm)
called Tech Support (1-877-453-8353) at 1207pm
transferred me to Tier One (he took down both phone numbers) at 1211pm
Samantha (Tier Three). 877 453 8353, OPT 3: Samantha Setzer
    302-727-0810: Vonage Holdings Corporation - 866 243 4357
    877-874-5811: Global Crossings - 800 466 4600

called Vonage at 1215pm (recorded for quality), connected to JOHN at 1217pm
I mentioned I was looking for contact information for this 302-number, and I mentioned "I know you have security protocols". so I asked for whatever contact information I could get (considering security protocols), he mentioned checking with manager.
at that point, I mentioned my issues (thinking that the managers might want to know all facts/information about 'why', when having to debate/consider what information they can provide, and/or where we go from here - making a complaint, transferring me, filing with BBB, etc)
he said "wow, in that case, I can tell you a couple things, before checking with my manager"
couple things being: CURRENTLY under investigation - multiple dead-air, last warning (going to shut down the number if persists)
finally went to check with manager, to see what information he can provide me (and where to go from here), at 1221pm
off hold at 1230pm, said might be a couple of things: caller id spoofing and/or from customer
took down my cell number, to research 302's call-log at 1232pm
call faded, signal lost at 1236pm (21minutes,53seconds)
called back at 1237pm - he called ME back at 1240pm
cannot give information (unless account was my own) - took down all notes in system.
    hung up at 1243pm

will be calling Global Crossings shortly.
