- Robert, CEO Surveys Are Not UsThis could be the starting point for another ridiculous TV show: America's Greatest Surveys. An occasional pat on the back is always a good thing, but not every time when someone is lucky to have a job and is just doing his or her job.

- AT&T Wireless CustomerI called in because of the overwhelming amount of dropped called. The call was AT&T Wireless following up on the call. What upset me is the fact that its a third party calling and it uses up your minutes of you answer the call. AT&T Wireless sucks!!!! I can't wait until my contract is up. Verizon, its only a matter of time!!!!!
- JustMe replies to JayOr they could at least say something when you do answer the phone. I don't know how many toll free calls I get in a day at my office that I'll answer and they either just sit there and say nothing or just hang up. After my intial greeting I say hello about two more times and then just hang up. I have work to do. I don't have time to wait for them to decide to answer me.
- TomTom replies to wahm| 35 repliesAT&Sleaze drops off the yellow pages at my door last week. I then get a phone call from "Unknown" caller and it is AT&Sleaze calling to see if my new yellow pages has been delivered. The phone call was from a person I could barely understand. When I asked to talk to someone who actually spoke English, she got very rude. SO I called AT&Sleaze and asked to have the yellowpages NOT sent to me anymore. I was took that this is NOT an option. I told them about the crappy call I got about yellow pagees delivery and they were very apologetic but none the less I dont use the yellow pages (book) and you can not opt out of delivery. SO TODAY, I get a call from AT&Sleaze ("TOLL FREE CALL") on the caller ID and they are calling about how my last call to them went and asked about the customer service I received. Come on AT&Sleaze! how about identify yourselves when you call, LIKE I DO WHEN I CALL????
- KathyI never answer an 800#, If their name dosen't show up , I won't answer. If the call is important, the caller would leave a message.

- JoI believe att is using call centers to do their surveys, including colection agencies.
- SHARON BI assumed the 888-211-7690 calls which come in two or three times a day were political surveys! My last nightmare effort to get tech help from ATT U-verse was two days ago. Tech #1 said she could help me before I explained the problem. Ten minutes later she sent me to Tech #2. Alas, she hadn't told him anything about the situation so I spent ten minutes describing it to him. He sent me to Tech #3. Now I'm trying to understand a citizen of India while he asks me questions. I ask him to please talk more slowly. He can't. He says it will cost me $49.00 to correct my problem. I am irritated. He said I can sign up for TechConnect for $180 a year and promises to fix the issue. I sign on. Then, for about 2 hours he flails and sputters and puts me on hold a half dozen times and is worse than any of the techs. I tell him that given I am paying extra for tech service the least I should have is a tech who speaks my language. He keeps saying he's sorry. Obviously well out of his depth. Finally he says the problem is with our Sony TV! I've been on the phone for 2 hours and 20 minutes since I talked to Tech #1 and NO ONE HAS THE EXPERTISE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I tell him this is the worst of the 7 years of horrendous service I've received from ATT and hang up. (Then I called Roku and they had the answer in 5 minutes - FREE.)
I received a customer satisfaction survey via email and was clear in describing how pleased I was. Then these phone calls started. Two, three a day. How can such a huge company be so fractured within itself so the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing?- Caller: ATT-Uverse

- moose| 1 replythis is an AT&T automated survey response wanting to see if I was happy with their automated help system. AND AT&T WONDERS WHY THEY ARE LOOSING MARKET SHARE. they have been calling nightly, and today called every two hours from 1000 on. If my opinion was important enought to them, a real person would call

- jay28They called twice, I didn't know it was the phone Co. they didn't leave a meaasge either, just a toll free number. That doesn't mean anything, with 50.000 toll free numbers is that suppose to be something important to me? I don't answer phones anyway without a name.
- Caller: possibly phone co
- jay28 replies to mooseGreat! I'm on that one with you. They didn't even leave a message, so how did I know who they were.
- LynnI got a call from this number last week -- AT&T recording asking if a recent repair was satisfactory. It was not. They are unable to resolve problems with loss of dial tone on my land line and instead have sent door-to-door salespeople to the neighborhood pressuring people to switch to their VoIP system, Uverse, instead of fixing my problem with the copper wire line. I am losing confidence in the ability of AT&T to provide reliable telecommunications, and it does not make me feel any better that it is so hard to reach an actual human being when you have a problem. They are quick to provide a live warm body when they're trying to sell VoIP, but throw you to the robot voices when you have a service issue.

- Bob P. replies to GingerB| 3 repliesI absolutely agree. If there is a call to me - often from an area code that is unfamiliar to me or "toll free" showing in my caller ID - I do not respond to it. Legitimate companies should identify themselves. I recently had some service done by AT&T, and if they expect to get feedback on that customer service, they should identify themselves when/if they are calling me. Why in heaven's name wouldn't they do this?
- Don' ScammeAtt is nothing more than a wandering sales organization, with unlimited resources. Falsified numbers,
un- returned phone calls, 800/888 rapscallion number games, secretive phone calls, improper or
non-existent employee ID'ds or phoney names of the party you speak with? Trying to find out the city you are calling or asking the rep as to the city that you have reached...is like pulling teeth from a crocodile . Good Luck... Been trying to resolve advertising/billing and mislistings issues with them for about 4 years now..
naw...they really don't Give A Shxx. Just just want your money ...that's all. Good Luck.- Caller: ATT? What department??
- floridaI just started using at&t and U-verse cable thru them a month ago, and have had nothing but problems with the company, and unkown calls about customer service etc., I am almost at the point of cancelling all the services Im so annoyed with them!
- TeresaAh, so this is the annoying fool calling me at 8:30 am! Wondered about that, even more so because I don't use AT&T for our home service these days. Wish I did not have a contract for cellular, either, but stuck with it for now!
- maybe this will help? replies to TomTom| 25 repliesHi there unhappy recipient. I am also an unhappy recipient of these calls. Here's what we can do to get them to stop:
Step #1: Set up yourself a fictitious e-mail (don't use correct information in the profile). Use your fictitious e-mail to e-mail ATT customer complaint section of their website. Tell them to cease and desist from contacting your phone # (be sure to tell them the phone number you want them to stop calling). Get a copy of the online confirmation report they give you after you have contacted them. They should stop calls to your phone #... If calls continue after you have received a confirmation from them that you have contacted and requested them to stop calling...
Step #2: Contact them again by e-mail using your fictitious e-mail account, this time tell them you will take legal action if they do not stop calling you. They will stop calling...But if they are really stupid and keep calling, you can look for an attorney and seek legal action against them for harrassing you after you have asked them not to call. Hope this helps you. I know it worked for me. - unhappyATTcustomer :(AT&Sleaze is a perfect name for this company. The ONLY reason I keep them is because they are the only phone service available in my very rural area. Been an unhappy customer of theirs for, unfortunately, over 20 years. I've had to go rounds with them more times than I can count about billing errors.....Ugggghhhh!!! They go up and up and up on their fees and keep adding convenient bizarre, mysterious little new fees ALL THE TIME, then tried to scam us several times for extra service for no extra fee THEN charge us almost $50 more the next month. We ended up on hold (of course) then going thru hoops trying get them to take off these "free" charges...then they DOUBLED billed us so had to call back and go thru the whole rig-a-ma-roll AGAIN! They are sleazy, greedy, sneaky and have lousy customer service.

- HollyIt would be nice when they call if they would say something whoever is calling
- Donna WAT&T Stinks! After almost 15 years of service from me, they wouldn't even give me an up grade early. I've always paid on time and even brought them customers. Never ever again! When my contract is up in June I'm GONE! I'll go back to landline before returning to them....hell cans with a string attached before going back.
