Fraudulent Harrassment via telephone. TSR's clain to be investigating fraud. They are relentless in their phone calls, and they speak as though they were vomitted out of the mouth of the ghetto. Carrie Ann is the manager; sufficed to say she is more than ignorant.
ALL OF THESE NUMBERS BELONG TO HERSHEY KEMP (THEY ARE LOCATED AROUND THE U.S.)

BE ADVISED THAT THIS IS A SCAM. THESE PEOPLE CREATE FEAR IN THOSE WHOM THEY HARRASS. DO NOT BE AFRAID! RATHER THREATEN TO REPORT THEM FOR FRAUD AND DEMAND THAT YOUR NUMBER BE REMOVED FROM THEIR CALLING LIST WHILE YOU ARE STILL ON THE LINE!

I got a call from a guy who sounded like a Puertorican New Yorker asking for the last 4 didgets of my social sec #.He was investigating me and the last 4 didgets of my ss# Told him I was told to never give out that info. I then asked him to indentify himself. He did saying he was a senior investigator with Hershey Kemp and for me to stop being evasive. I asked him if he was a billcollector he said no we're not bill collectors! .I told him he's liar and hang up. He calls back immediately saying don't act like a child, man. I hang up again. The next morning he calls again (on recorder) and says I need to call him immediately , that they are investigating a possible theft and a possible fraud. that scared the [***] out of me ! To hire a good lawyer was going to cost me plenty . I can only think of some old credit card bills from almost 10 years ago    Ok 2 weeks go by then another call to recorder Saying this was my last chance That they were sending out a subpeona immediately.  I was freaked out until I checked out this web site.Thank you Google Wait till that stupid Puertorican Calls again.    (fool me once   shame on me    foool me twice    shame on you!!!

It's been more than a month since my last post here.  I did in fact report them to FTC and BBB and told them so.  I have not had a call from them since.  Report them for their business practices, or lack thereof, and tell them you have done so.  If I owe a debt, which I do not, then I own up and make payments. I will not tolerate harrassment.  Nor should you.

Check the correct spelling of the comapny name: Hearshe Kemp LLC  They are very easy to find on the net if you look.  The web page is a joke.

    BEWARE,

These guys from HERSHEY KEMP called me stating that I had a deliquent account in the amount of 2500 bucks. They sought me out through my family and friends!!!!  They gave me the info and I DID MY OWN INVESTIGATION!!!

Turns out the credit card company had no info, the collection agency who was supposed to have purchased my account had no info, and when I called them back, they were dumbfounded!!!  They always sounded professional and treated me professionally, but I knew something was wrong when I asked them for their address so I could send them a letter disputing the debt, and the agent could not figure out what their address was (probably was scared I would give them a visit).

I gave them my lawyers phone number, and then they said they would open a case. this was stupid because during the first call they said they were already sueing me!!!!  Seems like a bunch of bull to me.  If they claim they are going to sue you - tell them to go ahead, you can defend yourself in court better than you can over the phone with these scam artists!!!

These people called my x-husband's mother. I have been divorced from him for 14 yrs. They told my x it was about fraud that involved my ss#. They told him they cld not get hold of me (I have a published #).  It was embarrasing.   When I called, they said they had my name/address and had sent letters/notices but I had rec'd nothing from them. The first lady was very firm but transferred me to another lady who kept asking me why I couldn't borrow the money or go to a Payday Advance place to get $. They were talking back and forth about pulling my file back from the stack trying to give me the impression I was in the stack to have judgements filed. She told me I was going to be sued in court and my wages garnished. I told her I needed time to check into this debt and they said I better call back in 24 hours.  I took time to research on the internet and talked to a lawyer. They call my work # constantly leaving msgs even though they have my cell #.  Sometimes the msgs are harsh but none as threatening as the first time I called them when I was caught off guard.  I bought a recording device from Radio Shack and have saved all the msgs left on my work phone.  Richard Pino is the main one calling leaving msgs. I have asked for copies of the contract or something re the debt to see if it is mine and they tell me it was sent or they are sending it but never do. I asked Richard about the statue of limitations on debts and he said in NY they cld pursue for 13 yrs. Last wk I rec'd a demand letter and they are calling me at work asking if I rec'd it, etc. I am glad I found these postings to know I'm not the only one being harrassed.  I was just trying to find their address to send a certified letter reply.

I too JUST got one of these phone calls today and they left a very disturbing message telling me to call them back IMMEDIATELY and if I have a lawyer to have them call.
Where do these companies get the gull to call innocent individuals like myself? I have no debt and only called back to find out what this call was in matter of and to my surprise they have no clue what I was talking about cuz I didnt provide them the "case number" they had left me. Should they call you DO NOT WHATSOEVER provide any personal information to them, even their [***] [***] case number! I am going to report them to the BBB and thank everyone who has posted on this message board.
    Good luck!

Gives me an hour to decide how I plan to pay and tells me to get an attorney.I ask for a copy in writting of this information I need yo pay and refuces to send me one. They wont send one until I pay an initial payment. How do I know who I am paying? I get couple more calls and no one is willing to send a letter of this info. I just received a call from this # 888-217-2701 the person on the line said his name was Jonathan Smith and that he was calling to collect a debt. According to him I owed money for a loan from Sandpoint Capital, which I did get a payday loan but I payed them for the full amount. He said that I was going to get taken to court for the amount owed. I explained to him that there was a problem but everything was worked out with the company and that they had confirmed payment received. He said that if that was true that there shouldn't be a case open then. I said fine, and I got all his information and when I asked him for information on my case he didn't sound too sure of the information. So I did some research and found the company with the payday loan (Clearwater Bay Marketing)and I was able to speak to the person who helped me the first time when I sent payment for the payday loan(his name is Wes)oh and this is not the first time a debt collector has tried to collect, this is the 3rd time and two different company's. Anyways Wes looked into my account and all the notes that we communicated are still in my account information, and yes Payment was received and I shouldn't be receiving calls from creditors. He stated that at some point my account was sold and these creditors will try to collect the money a second even a third time. So beware and save all your emails and any other information on the web about these company's so you can use against them. If you have made payment and have told them that and they still try to take you to court, maybe you can sue them for time and emotional stress, SAVE ALL YOUR INFORMATION!! NO matter how much time has passed SAVE IT. I took out the payday loan in 1/2008 and they are still contacting me it has been almost 1 1/2 years.

This guy named Mr Evans called and left a message stating he was with the law offices of Hearshe Kemp and was contacting me in regards to an important "legal" matter that has just came accross his desk and I needed to return the call today.  So I immediately searched and found this site.  Not returning call as I know it is probably for some old bs debt that they try to scare people into making a payment on a debt that they purchased...they use words like case number like they are some police departement or courts...not falling for it been in collections for over 12 years and know the laws like the back of my hand...cant leave that kind of info and I searched them and they are not even licensed to collect debts in the state of Washington and they have to be if they are going contact a "debtor" in our state. I WILL BE FILING COMPLAINTS WITH THE AG, FTC AND BBB in regards to this so called company!

I don’t even know where to begin. I feel violated. They contacted me about two months ago with pretty much the same lines as all the other people commenting. The difference is I was naive enough to set a payment plan thinking I was doing the right thing. I did it with the intention of buying time from all the harassing phone calls. I wanted them to stop until I had enough information; my intention was to contact JAG (I’m active duty army). It turns out it was all a lie and money has been taken out of my account on more than one occasion. I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission and opened a case with them. Please continue to call them and complain about this matter. If enough people report them they may open a class action against these heartless people. I am short on my payments this month because of an unexpected deduction of 265.00 on my account. You live you learn, but it still hurts.
