- brwn replies to JeffI just received a phone call today from Mr. Blackwell. He couldn't provide me with any informatioin regarding the debt other than it was a cash advance online loan in the amount of $858.00. I told him I never took one out and he said to me "the hell you didn't" " What kind of woman takes out payday loans with no intention of paying them back". Because I had a bankruptcy discharged over a year ago, I called my attorney who will be taking care of this. I am so glad I found all of these comments online because I was dumfounded.
- MandyThis company called and left a message and case number for me to call them back. They stated I had written a fraudulent check and would face criminal charges if I didn't resolve the issue. I was like what?!?! I don't write checks and thought it was very suspicious. I called them back and was told I got a payday loan from some company online. When I asked for proof Kenneth Sledge tone completely changed and got an attitude. He informed that their company was the last option before heading to court so I needed to settle. The loan was in the amount of $220 and know I owed 945. I said how could that be? He offered to settle for 575.55, but it needed to be paid by March 31. They could give very little information. I told them I needed to see proof. He told me if I didn't act today, I would have to pay $75 a month until the $945 balance was paid off. I asked for the website of the company and he hesitated and eventually gave it to me. Why did the young lady who answered the phone sound like she was from England? Not saying that isn't possible. They did everything in their power to convince me a loan had been taking out in my name and I was responsible. The entire time something was telling me not to give them any personal information.

- AnonymMy best friend AND my mom recieved calls from this number claiming to be Hershey and Kemp (Kenneth Sledge and Stanley Simms) they both gave some probably bogus Florida case number and told my mom:
"They said it is going before the court on Wednesday, Florida Statute 832 Section 832.08 They are going to charge you with perjury and illegal money transfering which is fraud."
They claimed I wrote a bogus check and something about a payday loan in Florida a few months after I moved out of state back in 2007, it does not make any sense.
Where the HELL to these guys get off, the F'n nerve, threatining my mom, luckily she said she was going to put it on my debit card but wanted to check with me first.
Well I talked to this Kenneth Sledge on the phone last night, what a tool. I told him that according the the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act he must provide me with 'written validation' of the debt he did not like that at all. He told me he is a mediator for "his client" and did not have to provide any documentation and he started talking about a settlement, when I refused to talk about any settlement until he provided me the documents he is LEGALLY OBLIGATED to provide me he spouted "I am giving this to our lawyers and we will see you in court."
So if you are not a debt collector and you are a mediator why are you trying to get money from me and then threatening legal action....hmmm....well according to the FDCPA:
Debt collectors also are prohibited from saying that: you will be arrested if you don’t pay your debt; they’ll seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless they are permitted by law to take the action and intend to do so; or legal action will be taken against you, if doing so would be illegal or if they don’t intend to take the action.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, 10001 - EX debter 68I also was getting phone calls from Hearshe Kemp LLC, from a Mr. Steven O'Brien I believe, and when they first contacted me I did remember taking out a payday loan but first I wants to make sure this company Hearshe Kemp was legit! So after doing some research I came to this website and right away called back Mr. O'Brien and told he I looked them up and they were fake, and that I also was not paying this threw them.... About 2 weeks later I received a letter in the mail stating a date and time for me to appear in court, so I took it to my lawyer and was informed that, this was a debt I did have to pay and in the contract I did agree unfortunately to be pursued as a criminal if I didn't pay it back... To make a long story short, me and my lawyer contacted Mr. O'Brien and also spoke with a Kenneth Sledge, they were nice and understanding with me on why I was scared at first to deal with them... but I had an outrageous debt of 1,674.35... they worked with me and helped me knock off some of the fee's I agreed to also.... in the end I only paid 1,056.78... now I'm debt free and have the papers from Hearshe Kemp LLC to prove it.......
Well I was dealing with this company I didn't have no problem with how they treated me like how some of y'all been saying,,, also I started thinking that if everything ppl were saying on here was true then this company would have been shut down by now.... but I learned my lesson and I pay my debts now and also I don't believe everything that's on the internet.... all I can say is if you owe a debt, pay it,, it's not the company Hearshe Kemp who's the enemy,, I believe (Cash Advance Payday Loan) are the scammers... and Mr. O'Brien explained to me how these loan companies work,,, I learned from my mistakes and from now on I will read everything before I agree to sign something......
I thank Hearshe Kemp LLC for helping me understand about these loan companies and also I thank them for helping me get out of this debt and even save me some money in the end....
But don't take it from me if you want to take it to court and fight it, go right ahead, but my lawyer advised me not- Caller: hearshe kemp llc

- EX debter 68 replies to AnonymFrom what I learned over doing some research and speaking with my lawyers I learned that, the company Hearshe Kemp LLC can not them self take you to court or garnish you, but the client that they are collecting for are the ones who can garnish you and take u to court, I read it myself when my lawyer got the contract that I agreed to for me, and I didn't know it when I took the loan out but I now know what could have happened if I took it to court.... I'm just thankful I'm debt free now and have the proper documents stating that!!!
- EX debter 68 replies to fooled once but not twiceI had a problem with this company but I resolved it with a Mr Steven O'Brian, he was polite and treated me with respect. If u call them back I would suggest u try to speak with him, his ext is 3005.... I didn't really deal with anyone else but Ive been seeing alot of complaints about some of there other workers, but Mr O'Brian was respectful to me, so thats all I can suggest for u. If u have a problem and need to contact them he seems to be the agent to work with.
- EX debter 68 replies to CJPIf u have to deal with them again I would recommend that u try and speak with Mr Steven O'Brian... he was respectful to me and helped me understand what was going on, I'm just glad I didn't get one of there other agents because of what I been hearing how they treat ppl, but Mr O'Brian treated me with respect, so if u need to talk with them again I would say try to talk with him, his ext was 3005 when I last called him
- NicoThis company has to be full of it. I received a letter from them and I am NOT impressed with it. It is made out to look REAL professional and in fact it looks tacky. The letter has a huge gold colored seal printed on it in crappy computer ink. And across the top it says PENDING LEGAL PETITION AUGUST 19, 2011 in bold red type. This supposed loan was taken out in the state of CA yet they are going to take it to court in the state of New York. I have had problems with pay day loans in the past and they were ALL handled by the appropriate District Attorney from that county. I paid them and they were good. Also this compnay has NEVER once read off the rights under the Fair Credit law. And they have represented themselves as lawyers on my brief conversations with them. They provided me with a website and I cannot believe how shoddy it is. Misspellings a plenty. All of you should really take a gander at it. Also they arent even listed at the building they are located. I used google maps and got a good street view. I called another business in there to confirm and was told that they were in fact located in the building but nothing comes up at all. I am going to have a law firm look at this and tell me what can be done.
Here is the website: http://www.hearshekempllc.com/
Why isnt this business accredited with BBB. The BBB has not knowledge of this company. I have filed a complaint against them. Enjoy that website and have a good laugh!- Caller: HearsheKemp LLC
