This number has been calling,,when I call back it wants an 10 digit phone number in, when I put mine in thinking I'd get to talk to someone,, it says it's not the right one,,,

I call Verizon once a month since LAST December to please stop calling me. I DO NOT HAVE VERIZON SERVICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They assure me that the calls will stop. Well, it's been a year, and they still Call me 5 or 6 times a day. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do realize that Verizon is breaking the law? You don't have a business relation with them, they can't call. Call them & get the address of their legal department. Send them a certified letter, US Mail, with return. Then keep track of the calls & don't forget to tell them you'll see them in court if they keep calling.

Thanks for the sharing by other folks.  I guess I should consider myself pretty fortunate, after reading the posts and the numbers of calls received by others--including to non-Verizon customers!  However, a couple weeks ago I got two calls on the same day from 888-234-6786 to my cell phone.  I didn't recognize the # so didn't answer.  (No message was left.)  When I later returned the call to that number, the recorded message said "If you have a mailbox on this system and would like to access it now, enter your 10-digit phone number."  I entered my cell # first, but was told the system did not recognize that number; & ditto for my home #.  Interestingly, we have Verizon phone, Internet and wireless service but chose to disable the voice mailbox for Verizon since we have a separate answering system.  So, I have no clue why--even though we're Verizon customers--we'd get these calls from them.  Plus, their system didn't recognize either of the Verizon #s anyway!  (By the way, all our phones have been on the Do Not Call Registry for several years; and we still get some telemarketing calls, all of which we try to report directly at the website where we signed up for DNC.  There's a simple form to complete.  Also, if someone's being obnoxious with repeated calls, sometimes I decide to answer, inform them we're on the DNC Registry, & tell them we're reporting them, etc.  (We've gotten rid of a couple companies that way.)

5/01 10:06  Oddly, I was on line with Verizon and phone never rang, but shows that I missed in-coming call from Verizon vm.  No message left, OH WELL

888-234-6786...555-5551212... These two numbers call me once an hour EVERY hour beginning at 7:30 am EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How do we make it stop?This has been going on for weeks. Will they neget tired of calling and not being answered?????H E L P !!!!!

The telephone number is someone with a Verizon Landline Phone forwarding a Voicemail message to a Verizon Cell Phone.  I forwarded 2 phone calls from our Home Phone and this was the telephone number that appeared on my wife's cell phone. Her cell phone was called 3 consecutive times using this Verizon Call Forwarding Service.

This # is becoming more $ more a nuisance.  Calls on cell 3-4 times per day & now has started on landline.  Can't seem to block it!

this guy used to harass us as well. It was horrible. I am sorry to hear that you were one of his targets as well!

I keep getting calls from this number with a message about a message for somebody else with a different name.  The message says it's from Verizon, but I don't have Verizon service and am not the person they're calling. How can I get it to stop?

The number is for Verizon FIOS Voice Mail, and when converted to letters is: 888-2FIOSVM.  So if you have Verizon FIOS voice mail (VM) it is supposed to be easier to remember.

Calls and leaves a message that my daughter has a pending court case against her, that's against the law to do. They are scam!!!

I agree with MOM.  Called Verizon and they called the 1888 # to confirm that it is a VM number.  Then I researched it.  In the past it was a number for a scam.  Do not call the number and do not give out any info.  Verizon's relays that if Verizon has any case against anyone they will send out a letter.  Verizon does not call individuals unless the customer calls them first.

7/7 17:41 PDT Has tried to get a response in the past and in the past I have not answered since no ID and unrecognized #.  Did roll to voicemail but no msg. left.   I figure if there is anything of importance, whoever is calling will identify themselves and/or leave a message so I can respond.

7/10 15:52 PDT  Finally figured out this is my (and most others) voicemail number.  What no one at Verizon can seem to explain is why it keeps calling me and I assume others, rolling to VM and never leaving message or indicating what it is.  I spent several hours on 7/8 trying to resolve this problem and can't seem to get a resolution.  Simply don't understand why these tech geniuses have no clue what their own system is doing or how to stop it.  Am about to discontinue phone svc.

This number 1-888-234-6786  goes to a free bahama cruise tour scam,  VERIZON NEEDS TO WAKEUP and cleanup their posting on the Internet

8/11 19:20 Just called again.  How do I stop this??  This is my own VM harassing me.  Verizon is useless, but need the landline.
