- CardUserReal fraud alert number: DO NOT IGNORE, CALL YOUR BANK!
I wouldn't give them my info (of course), and called my credit union instead. The call was a legitimate warning of fraudulent activity on my card. It was sorted out immediately thanks to this call. Check your account and CALL YOUR BANK ASAP!- Caller: Co-Op ATM Network
- DebbieKatThis is a legit fraud reporting agency. I received a call from them this morning but no one was on the other end when I picked up. After reading the comments by others, I called my credit union. They did a conference call with Falcon and indeed someone was attempting to use my card number to purchase gas in VA, I'm in WA. They flagged my card and I will need to get a new debit card now.
- Caller: Falcon Fraud
- DebbieKat replies to JTThis is a legit call. If you receive a call from them, call your bank or credit union and verify with them. I just did and someone tried to use my card number in another state.
- RobLeft a case number on my voicemail. When i called them back, they asked for the last 4 digits of my social security number. Let them block my card if they are legit. I'm not giving out my personal information over a number that is not listed on my bank's website.
- Caller: Called themselves card fraud services
- Savvy SeniorThis is absolutely legitimate, but I was suspicious and ended up going through the credit union number on the card back - sure enough, recent charges were fraudulent. The issue with the automated call number was that it only played five most recent transactions, and gave me the option of denying or accepting all of them; clearly two were thefts, but the rest not. Had to jump through phone crosslinks to get a living human who rectified just the fraudulent ones. Second issue I have, is that a creative con group now simply has to spoof this legitimate number and Caller ID in order to emulate the real consumer protection layer, then trick folks into giving up more than just the last four digits. Bingo.

- MikeHuntleton| 1 replyKeep in mind, just because a number is legit, doesn't mean the caller is!
Scammers spoof legitimate numbers to trick people into a false sense of security to answer their calls and attempt to get money or personal information from you.
This is why no one will encourage others to report of legitimate numbers, as they only confuse people into believing it is a legit call when a scammer has called them and they come here to find out about the call.
If it is a legitimate call, then anyone receiving a call would know WHY they got a call from this number, right?
So what would be a reason to come and post about it to a site designed to share information about UNKNOWN callers, such as Telemarketers, Scammers and Debt Collectors?
If your call was legit, telling about it won't be any comfort to those who may get a spoofed call from some scammer! - post pending moderator approval

- MonicaThe caller ID showed # calling was 817-554-0930 Texas however, they left a message for me stating they are with the Card Member security Office & reference # to call back at 888-241-2440 re: possible fraudelent activity on my Debit Card. They new my bank name & thanked me for being a member.
They also called & left a message for me on another phone # we have listed at our bank with same message identifying the call was for me.
I called my back directly & they confirmed they use Falcon Fraud company to report fraud & that my card had been marked hot by them due to recent transactions that needed to be verified. Instead of calling the # left on message I asked my bank to transfer me to the fraud unit & they did. Both the bank & the Fraud unit cleared my card for use.
I would always recommend calling your bank before calling any #'s back re: fraud. If it is a legit call your bank will be able to verify that & they will be able to transfer you to the fraud unit to get it handled.- Caller: Falcon Fraud Managment

- LianaGot a call from this number stating they were calling on behalf of my bank due to suspicious activity on my account. Their number wasn't listed on my bank's website so I called my bank directly instead. The teller said that the call was legitimate and it was from a 3rd party that they use to help make those types of calls. So it was legitimate.
- TeacFanLegitimate credit card fraud prevention company.

- Jules| 2 repliesDid all the research on this weird fraud call. My bank confirmed. It’s legit. Cancel and ordered new card. Someone tried to charge $.00 as a tester on my card before going big.
Still this call freaked me out cuz they ask for all info a crook/identity thief would need. It’s odd that a 3rd party fraud co but this one is ok. Still be careful everyone!- Caller: Co-op financial
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Tygerkat replies to JulesFirst you say "it's legit" but then you mark the call type as "scam suspicion." Why is that? And why did you look up the number if you know who called? I think you're a shill, and a poor one at that.
- B-Edwards replies to JulesYup. SHILL Alert in a Shilly Thead.
