This phone number was listed in an offer that came via US mail for a Credit Card Assistance Program. I have not been able to determine the name of any company associated with this number. The return address on the letter is from 2000 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W. #285; Washington, D.C. 20006. It is almost certainly some kind of scam because there is no company or agency name listed anywhere in the offer, only the phone number and address I listed. The address is part of an office bldg complex on George Washington University campus. Any assistance that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. The people behind this "offer" likely need to be reported to the FTC.

I got the same thing.  Listed number as 888-266-3682 and the same address as you list above.  Very little detail and no disclaimers.  I don't think I'll be calling.

I received the same letter twice. I did not call. I just checked on internet. Office Bldg - UPS located there. Another SCAM.

I got a mailer with what looks like a check signed by John L. Clark or $23,400.

No info on the web except this post - has to be a scam.

I got one today 3/17/14, I can't find any information about CCAP or Company associated with this name, Be careful, it's a scam.

The address is now An Italian Pizza restaurant.

I got the same letter. With a "check" for $35,400. It's a debt reduction scam. The return address is for a ups box in a mall near the Capitol  

I received this same letter for debt reduction. I'm sure it's a scam. I shredded it!

Same letter, address, check signer, etc.  Not calling - can't verify anything online.

5/20/14   I just received the same thing today from the same address with a phone# 800-201-0742. No doubt it's a scam. Has anybody reported this?

I tryed looking up this information after speaking to someone today by the  name of Clint Jaminson.After being ask for my ss# and refuseing to give it he hung up and said he will call me back.Sounds likr a scam of someone trying to get personal infor.

I received the same letter with my debt amount, a promise of how much they could save me with one of their programs, and a "secure approval code." The number provided was 866-696-1513. I called to get a company name but only received a recorded message asking for my code. I can't find anything online when I look up "credit card assistance program," their phone number, or the return address. Considering the lack of information about the organization or company sending the letter, I'm also inclined to believe this is a scam.

Report these letters to the US postal service.   Got any post office and request the postal inspector to look into it.   This looks like mail fraud.

I got a call and somehow entertain him. I gave my personal info but i did not go thru the program. What should i do?

I got the same letter which I thought was real at first because it says on the front "warning: $2000 fine, five year imprisonment  or both for any person interfering or obstructing  with delivery of this letter US Mail and then a code
Inside they say it is "State Approved" and looked like an official letter from the Government

Have been marking "RETURN TO SENDER"    I am fed up with this bilge in  my mailbox every week....they are relentless.
Let them eat the postage twice and the post office for giving them the permit #1297.
