Got a call from 888-283-5647, msg said they had a complaint on me, they had my ss# and to call them to resolve the issue or they would pursue litigation. I called, stupid me. The woman said I owed $2725 to Money Mart. The loan started in 2002, pymts made until 2009, then stopped. I have NEVER had any business with Money Mart. They had my address too! And the correct last 4 numbers of my ss#! The woman would not listen to anything I said, just kept saying I was being sued. I asked for a supervisor. He was even more rude and would not tell me where 7 years of pymts came from and hung up on me after saying they were sending the summons to court because I refused to pay. I googled them, Standard Mediation, and guess what?! They are nowhere on the internet. SCAM!!

Have been suffering from the same nuisance calls for about two weeks.  Total of 6 calls so far.  At first, I thought that it was a genuine mis-dial so I returned a call to the 800 number, and was promptly hung up on.  Most recent call came today, and I tried again but when I called it was as if the woman who answered couldn't hear me - literally.  That's when I did the Google search that got me here.  I know that this is a scam, as they are calling my company provided cell phone = nothing tied to me personally.  
From what I can see via some simple searches, whoever is running this scam is subscribed to a cloud-based virtual PBX service by the name of RingCentral (www.ringcentral.com).  RingCentral's tech support phone number is 888-898-4591 and I will be contacting them to determine if they can do something about it.

They called and have left messages twice saying they have my social security number and have a complaint against it and to call back giving a case number to find out what the call was about or to leave feedback something or other

I just received a call from 8882835647 stating I HAD A Chase MANHATTEN Credit CARD THAT HASN'T BEEN PAID IN 4 1/2 YEARS. That is complete BS. They said with fees and costs that they were going to issue a summons within 24-48 hours, freeze my bank accounts. place a lien on every thing, who this is or what the heck are they a "A" SCAM".The complaint totals to 2,000 but they would accept 1000 only today.

Same as all msgs reported here. Call came in from 435-374-4960.

Automatic message (female voice) said I have a complaint against me, gave my first and last name, said they have my ss number and to press "8" or call them back to "make a statement". I didn't do either. But I've researched this number and **IT'S A SCAM!** Please report them so we can get them to stop this!

They called and said I had a loan in 2008 from chase manhattan bank with my ss #.  I said I did not ever get a loan and they got all pissed off and told me they would see me in court.   i hung up

I got this same run around. I returned the call because I have had several calls in my past from debt collectors looking for the wrong person and felt this was one of them. I was told I was being served with court paperwork for a credit card debt of $1000 for a capital one card. I've never had a capital one card. I went ahead and put a fraud notice on the credit bureau , pulled copies of my credit reports and contacted my ID theft protection insurance company. I wanted to rule out if this was a skip tracing to the wrong person. I'm unnerved the they had so much information on me. This sound like the same woman you all have been talking to , she has refused to give a company name or address and became super aggressive/defensive when I pressed her on the issue and then she hung up. I will be reporting this to law enforcement. I would advise all of you to check your credit reports in case and put a 90 day fraud notice out. (This is a free service when you put the notice out). So glad I looked up this number and found this website! Got a voice mail from 702-757-2052 along with a case number saying they had my SSN and to call them back at 888-283-5647. I called back the number and got a voice mail with no identifying information.  Only a man who said to leave name and case number to be called back. I left THEM a message promising legal action should further calls occur. What a scam!

Received the same phone call from the same place. They gave me an address that was more that 15 years ago. When I told them that whatever they were trying to collect on was well past the limitations and that i was going to be taken to court and that my wages would be garnished then hung up on me. Tried to call them back and was hung up on. They thought they were messing with someone that didn't know anything about collections. 307-257- 8789 the call back number was 1-888-283-5647.

I just got the same call from 206-212-0457. I Googled it and its from the state of WA. Then I Googled the 8882835647 and it brought me here. The recording said the same thing stating I had a complaint filed against me. Glad I looked these numbers up as I always do for numbers I don't know. Thanks for all the posts and information. I'm definitely not calling them back and they are getting blocked.

Got 2 messages from this number stating they had a complaint against me and they referred to me by my married name to my 1st husband.  Considering the last time I used that name was over 6 years ago, it stands to reason that even if I DID have a debt with anyone, it would be past collection statute.  I called back and got an answering machine.  Told them to call me back and be prepared to talk to my lawyer.

Get a real job and quit scamming people. Number they stated to call is 888-283-5647. Number they called from is 310-579-6796. They stated, "someone made a complaint using my social security number". This ought to be outlawed and the government needs to do something about all this scam going on.

I've been getting this number and many others call win saying the same thing that I have complaint filed one said I owed 4000 to chase well I went to chase which is my bank and they talk to them which they hung up I keep calling them and scream scam artist thieves lol they harass me so I will in return it's a big scam always demand written proof and go to the source

Got the same call. There should be a way to keep these scammers from bothering people.

Some advice. Don't piss them off, they have your number and will sell it to others or worse, put you on a sucker list. Tell them you are taping the call, they will hang up.
