Sure thing, pal. That must be why the FTC has busted dozens of interrelated extortion shops with ties to South Asian organized crime in the past few years.

} Its time the Banks shut payday loans out of business
Payday and title lenders will never step down quietly. Exploiting the poor and desperate is simply too lucrative. Several states have either outlawed PDL outright or made it impossible for PDL shops to charge their obscene rates. We may see auto title loans targeted by future legislation once that awful trend gets tired. - Mrs BakerI have received several calls, telling me I have had a claim filed against me with my name a SS #. they give me a case number and a call back # 888-283-5647. When you call back you get a voice mail, to leave a message and some one will return your call.
I called the number back from another phone, and I don' t think they will care, but lets just say... my message wasn't very
nice.- Caller: The left no name just a number to call back

- CWG40 replies to DannyThis is a serious threat, you should go to the police. Make a report. It's outright extortion.
- Nichole replies to JCNope, but they just called me again....I told her that I was still waiting to be arrested from the last time....she told me F you and hung up.
- Nichole| 1 replyLooks like they are back at it! Last time they tried this was in August....They still have not learned...
This is the second time these scammers have call me.....1st time threatened that the police would pick me up for a warrant by 5:00 if I did not pay them 1500.00. I told them I wanted documentation of the file and they said they could not provide it to me....I told them I needed my lawyers to look at it. She said no I cannot do that, I told her no I was not paying and she told me "Good luck with jail then" and hung up.
This time they are becoming automated! Now they have a VRU telling you to press a number and be connected to an operator. Left a case # to to refer to.... Unfortunately I missed their call and just got the voice message.....I tried calling back but was sent to a weird message. I really want to see where my warrant is and the Police...hahhaaa

http://www.fdcpa.me/fake-process-server-injunction/ - L WellsThis bunch of fraudulent folks keeps calling my house leaving messages for an adult daughter who doesn't even live here. This is very frustrating and annoying, and I know it is all a hoax to fleece people out of money. Don't give them the time of day. I've filed a complaint with the FCC today. Number they left: 888-283-5647. We've gotten calls from both a male and female, trying to see if we'll call back. Not happening, folks.
- Mkgirl4u replies to Ohio GirlI'm glad I researched this because I have had the same calls over and over and about a defaulted loan from 2008. Funny thing is, it's not on my credit report. The lady identified herself as Carmen Jones from Standard Mediation. When I asked her to send me everything in writing, she got aggressive and very loud. I told her if she wanted my money, she better give me proof. She didn't like it and got more aggressive and threatened me.
- CWG40Something called "Standard Mediations" in other words just another scammy debt collector pretending to be some sort of law firm. Ignore them don't return their calls. Block their calls
Report them!- Caller: Informational post
- The equalizer replies to DaniHeads up folks- They will refuse to give you an address. They claim they don't have too. WRONG. They are required by law to provide it. THEIR fax # is 916-509-7001. You have the right by law to ask for documentation of alleged debt. It must have your signatures and dates of transactions. Also go on the internet and find out what the STATUE OF LIMITATION FOR DEBT COLLECTION is in your state. For most states it is 4(FOUR) years. They can ask you to pay it, but you can tell them to take a hike. Fax them a letter telling them to never contact you again. Cease and desist all contact.
I faxed them 38 pages of information I found on the internet, showing that everything they threatened me on the phone was illegal. They said they would see me "in court". That is illegal. After 4(four) years, they can't. They are misrepresenting their power. They can't sue you. They have to be bonded in your state. You can contact the Attorney General of your state and report them.
AND listen up. You can sue them for harassment. You don't have to prove damages. You have a year from when they contacted you to sue. You can win $1,000 plus the cost of your attorney fees and court costs. In my fax I told them if they called me again, threaten me or made any demands I would sue them. Backed up by things I found on the net.
It took me 15 minutes to print up all the stuff from the internet. Plus 10(TEN) pages of comments from these pages. I flooded their fax machine. They messed with the wrong person. You see I know my rights, know yours. - dm replies to JC<<From what I can see via some simple searches, whoever is running this scam is subscribed to a cloud-based virtual PBX service by the name of RingCentral (www.ringcentral.com). RingCentral's tech support phone number is 888-898-4591 and I will be contacting them to determine if they can do something about it.>>
Were you able to confirm whether this phone number belonged to a ringcentral customer. My attorney is waiting to serve papers on either the scam organization or whomever is in their supply chain including the phone service provider. Let me know. Thanks. - dmMultiple calls over a period of several months to both mine and wife's cell numbers for mastercard debt from a defunct bank (BankFirst) that we never had. They are keeping track of both the outbound calls and inbound conversations as my last conversation indicated that they had kept notes from my prior conversation. I think that this is a high degree of competency for a scam org as you can barely get legitimate org's to keep accurate records of phone conversations. Combine this with their access to SSN and DOB information suggests that there may be more going on. This must be a very lucrative bit of scam. Have my attorneys standing by to take action against whomever we can find...which is no one right now...they do a good job of hiding. If anyone has had any luck with an address, please post it here. I will monitor this site for awhile to see if we can put a stop to this nonsense.

- CWG40When I called them, the guy that answered said Standard Mediation and it seemed like he had a New York-type accent. I'm beginning to think these people are located in New York state. They guy himself would not give me an address or even the state he's located in. Since New York state is a mecca for debt scammers, I'm thinking he didn't want to give me that state as an address because we could put two and two together and link him up with a brick and mortar establishment.
Just speculating at this point. But I think I'm right about this guy's accent.- Caller: Informational post
- Jpetro99Same call came in and they used every scare tactic out there including threatening putting a lein on my bank account, credit cards, house and that they'd go after my husband's credit also. That put me in a rage. They had my social, said they knew how much money was in my bank account and if I didn't pay $500 from a 2000 credit card debt I don't remember having they'd send summons papers to court. I told them to send me something in writing that if I paid the $500 my supposed debt would be paid. He said no. I asked what company is suing me and he said to Google Cross Country Bank and maybe it would jog my memory. I asked his name and where he was located and he denied giving it to me and started to get agressive so I said I would pay. When he asked me for my credit card and told me I was doing the right thing and saving myself a lot of hassel with police and courts I said I agreed and then proceeded to give him my card # which I then spelled out F U C K Y O U. [***] and hung up on him. Don't be fooled people. Don't give them a dime. If you owe a debt the person calling will say as such, "This is an agency attempting to collect a debt." etc. If you are trying to collect a debt you don't hang up on people. Makes no sense. These people are bottom feeders.
