    Annoyed
They call from 5592350128 and leave voicemails similar to those reported here. I finally answered the call and pressed zero and spoke with a representative. I told them that I know they are a scam and that I want them to stop calling me. After repeating myself, the man on the other end told me he would proceed and then hung up. Whatever that means, I have never received anything by mail from these people, yet another reason I know this is a scam.
They call my husband, mom, former employer, sister and ex-husband multiple times a day.

I got an automated call from this number and the message mentioned my brother's name (different from mine) and the claim # was my cell number. They called back twice then hung up. very fishy.

This number has been calling an increasing number of times! Leaves automated messages that seem to be half cut off about calling to speak to a representative and gives this number to call: 888-286-5462. No name and no person asked for, so either they aren't giving important and basic info like who the call is for or what company or party they are representing, etc. or they need to seriously fix their call system. Definitely not calling from a professional business, although the caller or callers may be con artists hoping someone here will respond to their stupid and increasingly annoying phone call.

Looking through these posts and from the calls I, myself, have been receiving lately, some with messages left and caller ID'd, it appears that the calls are originating from different numbers than 888-286-5462, the number to return the call at. So the numbers called from are probably fake or spoofed to coincide with the locality or state that the person receiving the call is in, making it more personal and more likely a return call will be made. At any rate, there's plenty room for suspicion and good reason not to call 888-286-5462.  This website provides a valuable service. Thank you to all who post and share.

The same people called yesterday and today and they also called my cousin who does not even live with me.  Whoever it was I told him to stop calling me and my family and he told me that they were not going to stop calling.  The local number he called from is 704-315-5838.

No one but a judge in a court proceeding can order a garnishment of wages.  Garnishments are strictly regulated in most states.  Some states do not allow them at all.  If they are claiming a garnishment then they will have to provide copies of the order  by the local judge.  The whole thing seems like a scam to me.  If there is a valid garnishment order against you, then you'll probably need professional legal assistance.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

They keep calling me looking for someone with the same last name as me. They leave messages but don't say who they are or the reason for the call. I'm getting really tired of their incessant calls.

Call blocker can be of some help.  Also don't pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.  There's no way to stop the calls from being initiated.

No name of who is calling.  It says, you have a claim, call 888-286-5462.  They called 3x since 8:30am this morning!  I do not answer my phone, if I do not recognize the number.

Received 2 calls one on the house phone and the other on my cell within seconds of each other. They are calling from 307-213-6344, which is a Wyoming area code. They leave a message that they have a claim number of 880942 and to call them back at 888-286-5462. I called them back on Friday and asked who I was speaking to and they would not give their name, or the company they were with. I told them to quit calling until I had something in writing as to what this was about, he told me he would see me in court and I said bring it on.
