I rang the number back and there is an option to be removed from their list. I did this last week. This week and ATT salesperson calls to my door to sell Uverse.
Here is the catch - if you are an ATT customer and want technical support - they will not give support unless you agree to be put back on the list.

I have been getting these same calls daily from 888-419-9409 as well and eventually started letting my answering machine take the call but the "robo-caller" from AT&T just hangs up and it continues to call 2-3 times per day at all hours.

I first took suggestions in previous posts to call the Texas Public Utility Commission but this only works if you LIVE IN TEXAS so, if you do not live in Texas, don't bother calling them. They directed me to my own state regulatory commission and this was totally useless because, even though they are suppose to "regulate" utilities such as AT&T, they passed me around like a "football" on a hot summer day and I ended up being directed to the FCC complaint line in D.C. I then filed a complaint with them and they said they would "look into it" but I highly doubt they care in the least that I have had a nervous breakdown, depressed and have been suicidal and under a psychologist's care to keep myself alive. What?? This true!!

So, I called AT&T AGAIN for the 30th time and finally got someone on the line who kept telling me information that I gave him in the beginning of the call and he didn't seem like he cared until I broke down and began crying..... "balling my eyes out" about the fact that I have suicidal thoughts and these calls are "only pushing me to the edge" and THEN he started being a nice guy willing to help me out [I was not faking it either]. He then said that he would put this into their do not call department for their own marketing calls and that after 3 business days I would no longer get these calls but would get mailers from them to sell me stuff and that he would not be able to stop the mailers.  He only became a "nice guy" willing to help me when I started crying on the phone with him and his tone shift quickly into a caring, helpful person.

So, my advice is to not bother calling your state's Public Utility or Regulatory Commission because they are totally useless and will only pass you off to some other agency like the FCC.

The best method for helping EVERYONE with this problem is to start emailing Good Morning America and tell them of your problem and GMA WILL GET THE JOB DONE.  They have help many people with these kinds of problems but you need to contact them in sufficient numbers so they will feel that they can broadcast this as "hey look what we did for America!!!"

Believe me, AT&T will definitely respond to this problem when GMA gets on their case. DO IT and see the great results.

I get calls from toll free number 1-888-419-9409 nearly every day possible twice a day for months, I do not answer and it never leaves an answering machine message. Reports are this is AT&T U-verse telemarketer that has a "relationship" so it beats the Do Not Call system. They need to stop, now.

It's AT&T, if you should happen to answer, it's a recorded mess. About new offers and tells you to call a number if you want to be put on their Do Not Call list-I called the DNC number a few days ago and have gotten even more since doing this. I even left a mess, saying I would drop them completely-have reported them to National List and will call AT&T Customer Serv. in New Haven tomorrow.

Got several calls, sometimes more than once a day from this number.  Never leaves a message and dead air when I answer.  I Googled the number and it is listed to AT & T.   Then I googled the AT & T Headquarters and gort the name of the President, and CEO.  Would you like to join me in sending him a letter about how irritating their phone calls are?

888-419-9409 has been calling me  for a week or 2. Apparently they  REALLY want to talk to me since they've started calling several times a day.  I'm fed up with this...

Unbelievably, to me, it actually IS att; call 611 when you've got about 20 minutes to kill with a live person, which, multiplied by enough people, should prove costly enough to put a stop to it.

I get a call from this number daily.  No one appears to be on the other end of the line; no one ever says anything and there is no background noise.

They have called every day for the last week. The first time I answered they said it was a solicitation call from AT and T and then they hung up. The other 4 times, they just hung up when I answered.

Continuous calls from phone number 888-419-9409 which never identify or leave message but believe it is ATT U-verse telemarking. Nothing seems to stop or deter their auto-dialer as have an ATT wireline number so have a 'relationship' exempting them from No Call requirements.
