first nite on net crap how dumb i was

Received a text message saying "Thx 4 visiting our site call 1-888-851-9560 to Claim Your $100.00 Gift Card! Txt STOP 2 quite, HELP 4 Help".  I called the 888 number and all they could say was that they were with the Redemption center and that they work with marketing sites.. And that they had no idea what site this was for.. How can they not know what site it's for if they're supposed to be giving away a $100.00 gift card?  

I texted back HELP to see what would happen and they texted back 8 msgs per mo. 18+ For help email support@moderntxt.com

Texted them to stop and they said they would unscubscribe me.

Did you ever subscribe to Facebook text alerts? I have a feeling that's what it's all about.

I received a txt from 123newsscore.com and text back to stop got a reply from support@moderntext.com - hope that this is the last of it

Please report this number.  It shows as 'moderntxt' and says to visit www.moderntxt.com to STOP, or "reply text STOP to stop receiving calls", which I did.  Calls didn't stop.  The above site does not produce a web page or anything--browser stays on home page.

I recieved that same txt and I sent STOP then I recieved a text that I will no longer recieve msgs and it also said std msg chgs apply, does this mean that the will charge me???? what can i do to fix this??

quit texting me dont want it

I am receiving unwanted text messages from #63273 or www.123newscore.com and I cannot get them to stop.  Hope you can help.  My phone number they are using is 309-948-1560.

recieved same put in stop, said i was not a subcriber, text me again, i told them to stop sending me text they said i would have to contact moderntxt.com. when i sent them another text saying no you just better stop, the text could not be delivered. whats up with that?

This is not the right company.  The one in FLORIDA is the correct company, but there is no way to get through to them via phone...whenever you press any option to speak to a live person the phone is automatically disconnected.

I, too, began getting these txt two days ago and I travel outside country which these will cost ME.  I tracked down www.123newscore.com to a company MEMBER SAVINGS, Omaha NB  877-654-8514. who says they don't send text.  However it turns out I was a member of theirs for 3 days back in Jan 2007 which made me think they had sold a mailing list, WITH MY INFO, to a 3rd party.  When I stated this, they became very defensive so I questioned why if someone was using their website feloniously they weren't concerned...she, the supervisor, didn't seem concerned so I pushed that they investigate and respond to my complaint.  Of course she "states" it will take 7-10 biz days..."I can wait!"

Everyone needs to bombard this company with complaints...I further left word in their website "Contact" section that I intend to report this to the NB attorney general.  We'll see.

This number is not in service and the number 63273 sent a text to my phone stating standard messaging rates apply and that I had subscribed to this number and I did not.

Elaine, I would definitely look into this if I were you; you are probably going to start getting charges on your cell phone from it if they sent a text saying you subscribed to that number. This is a new scam out there; my mom had no less than FIVE 800 numbers that started charging her telephone at $14.95 a month. She called Verizon, which is her phone service carrier, and they credited the charges back to her and also told her that a lot of people have been calling about this. It's really disturbing in this day and age that a person can fraudulently charge your phone # with just your name and phone number.  The oddest part about it was the websites she supposedly subscribed to had my name as a contact and it is not my telephone. I'm assuming they phished my info off the 'net and started from there. There are a lot more scumbags in this world now than in recent times. Watch out for them and tell your friends about this new scam so they can be sure to double check their phone bills for suspicious charges.
