These people are absolutely the rudest people i have ever dealt with. Apparantly they are all supervisors and there is no one in charge of them. I was told in september of 2012 that i owed them money and i didn't even know golds gym, las vegas,  was not getting the money anymore they told me to cancel my membership and pay the balance it was around 400 i paid this and asked if that was completely Done and not ruining my credit at all they said everything was over i didnt owe anything else. Now six months later they started pulling money out of my account without a notice i fought it. Then they charged my account again. I finally realized who it was and called. They said my balance for both accounts was 2300 and that i only have to pay 1200. I told them this was incorrect and he started to have an attitude with me. And i asked if he had a recording of me agreeing to monthly payments he said yes i asked him to play it for me and he said no it was for his use not mines. Then i called to get his name to report him and Patricia answered rude as well telling me they didnt have to be nice it was a debt and i owe it they jus try to get money and they are allowed to be as rude and say whatever they want. I was appalled! I reported them to www.BBB.com and www.FTC.com. Please report also so we can get something done!

These [***] [***] are rip off, I hope god would burn them alive and there families, I hope they will die with sickness and hunger, who rip people with there hard earning money.

These [***] called me and asked me for $900 balance for Gold GYM, Gold gym is also scam people, they didn't tell me that there is $300 cancellation fee, when I refused to pay cancellation fee, two months later these ass hols want me to  pay them $922.16 included late fees and interest rate. I refused to pay them, told them that is [***] insane, so after month later they called me and asked me if you pay one time we will knock off half of the money, one time just pay $ 400.00 and won't ask anything more and we will close your account and we won't send any information to mess up your credit. So $400.00 was settlement.

I believed this [***] and I provide my debit card and paid off $400.00 at that time, guess what month later these [***] took $522.16 from my account without my authorization. Please make sure don't give them any  information and authorization from your debit or credit card.

I swear If I find this guy, who took my card information from me, I will cut his balls off and feed my dogs.

I tried calling the number I got off this web site and some guy answered and when I asked to speak to someone about it, he said I would have to call back Monday. Im sure I can go down to the bank and get the money back, but know they have my card number!!!

These people are insane. I think they are a collection agency for fitness companies. Initially, I joined the gym, they had my bank info for an automatic withdraw for the monthly membership fee....well about a month after they obtained my bank info, "someone" was using my bank info and buying all kinds of stuff. I know it was the people at the gym. So I changed my bank info and never gave it to the gym. Swift Funds then started calling me and harassing me. I paid off my balance with the gym and Swift Funds reported this adversley on my credit report!! There is no longer any debt and they still reported it negatively on my report. You can't even call and try to reason with these people because they are idiots and they are ruthless. These people are frauds and they need to be stopped. This is complete BS.

Dispute the charges with your credit card company. They will refund you and THEY will go after Swift Funds.

Go to the bank and have them refund the money and let them go after Swift Funds. Cancel the card and get a new one with a new number. If you don't do this they will keep hitting your card.

    Protect yourselves, people.

What do you click on or go to once you are on the webpage. I am taking the time to report them. They went into my account unauthorized and pulled to fees of 220 dollars each. A total of 440. I am very upset that my Bank would allow this to happen. Please tell me the steps of what I need to do.

Dealing directly with golds does nothing. I paid golds in full what I owed and they closed and cancelled my account. The paperwork I had printed shows the account as cancelled etc but they don't pull it from collections.  I've recorded every phone call they have had with me and compiled a file of all my contracts and paperwork from golds showing paid in full to canceled. Golds also forged my signature on another contract and they expect me to pay that as well. I have already filed a case against swift for not abiding by the fdcpa rules and I'm going after golds for forging my signature. Do not be fooled by this company swift funds. They only look to collect despite paying off your debt to the gym or not. I even asked golds why they pick such a vicious company and their response was I do as I'm told. I recorded the whole conversation in the office with the district and regional manager on my phone. I told the manager  that golds clearly gets a cut from people for paying both the collector and them. It's all a scam. I have enough evidence to pin both to a cross and it's what I intend to do. As of today after showing the account cancelled I've received 6 phone calls from swift funds.  hope they are ready to get crucified

I am receiving endless calls from this number sometimes multiple times daily! I think it is related to my former membership with Gold's Gym. I cancelled my membership in writing after the second time I was treated by my physician for a serious infection I got from their contaminated pool! I think they are retaliating because I got the health Dept to check and the conclusion that one more substantiated complaint would close them down!
I would sure appreciate any guidance on how to get the harrassment to stop. Thank you.

"nothing my computer says you are this person and there's nothing you can do to change it."

These are the type of hoity-toity responses consumer law attorneys just LOVE:

Under the TCPA, a consumer has a right to file a lawsuit and recover $500 for each call that violates the TCPA. The TCPA can also be used in conjunction with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in some situations.

Generally, the TCPA does not apply to debt collectors making collection calls to debtors. However, if you are subjected to calls from a debt collector and you are not the debtor, you may file a lawsuit against the debt collector under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the TCPA.

This right was recently recognized by Judge Legrome D. Davis in a case called Watson v. NCO Group, Inc.  NCO Group is a debt collector that uses automated prerecorded collection calls.  In this case, Mr. Watson alleged he was getting hundreds of calls from NCO Group after he got a new phone number. Mr. Watson claimed he owed no debt to NCO Group, Inc.  Mr. Watson filed suit under both the FDCPA and TCPA.

    David Israel, defense lawyer for NCO, argued that the TCPA should not apply to debt collectors.  Judge Davis rejected the argument made by David Israel. The judge ruled that Mr. Watson had a right to sue NCO Group Inc under the TCPA for $500 for each call.  Judge Davis wrote;

[The] Court is convinced that a non-debtor's rights are in fact violated when he is subjected to repeated annoying and abusive debt collection calls that he remains powerless to stop.

Judge Davis' ruling was based upon his interpretation that collection calls to non-debtors violate the privacy rights provided by the TCPA.

So what can you do if you receive "wrong number" calls from debt collectors?

    1. Sign up for the Do-Not-Call registry.
    2. Save the calls captured by your voice mail or answering machine.

Just went through the same thing with these people.  I'd let a Gold's Gym membership lapse, got a collections call and I was completely cool with them.  Sent a check to the address in RHE, CA, per instructions and was told that as long as they received payment by the end of the month I would be fine.  That was in mid-May.  I got a call on May 24 from a manager there giving me the "don't shoot the messenger" speech and how if I didn't pay right then and there his next call would be to the credit bureau.  I informed him that his assistant (who he obviously knew) was rude and that she had given me different information.  He told me sorry for my bad luck.  I was double-charged for the amount due (reported it to my bank and got the second one refunded) and now they've started calling again.  I've already reported them to the BBB and to the FBI.  I'll add my two cents to the FTC, even though it seems to do no good.  As a bonus, I also can't seem to get Gold's Gym to deal with me on this matter either.  What a colossal ripoff on all ends.

The three credit agencies MUST add a dispute to your credit reports!  If you haven't already, please contact them and make sure the debt is removed from your reports.  If you have proof you paid up the account, I would also send a copy of this to the agencies.

Gyms are all scam artist ripoffs that probably work in conjunction with these "Swift Funds" clowns. I think it is most likely that there is a class A investor who is heavily invested in multiple gyms who started this Swift Funds company to work in conjunction with the gyms he partially owns. It seems like way too sweet a deal for all these gyms to be using this nearly criminal company as their collections agent.

When I signed up for Retro Fitness, I was blatantly lied to by the guy who signed us up. He told us that we could share the number of personal training sessions that I signed up for. That was a lie. I was also told that automatic renewals were NOT part of their policy. That was a lie. I was actually informed that this employee was fired for lying to prospective gym members (more like he was transferred to continue [***] people into membership). The problem is that I belonged to Retro Fitness for 1 year (which was the shittiest gym I've ever walked into) when the contract should have run out and NOT renewed (as per our lying salesman). So when I got a call from Swift Funds, I was shocked. Although we were lied to multiple times by a person who was supposedly fired for lying, I was told "too f**king bad, pal, you need to pay". I told them to blow off.

Now it's on my credit report and I HAVE to pay. After hearing all these stories, I think I'll pay them and then after the charge goes through, contact my bank and tell them to deny any further charges from this company and change my card # too. I'll keep a record of the transaction and report them to the credit bureaus with proof of my payment. Sorry, these gyms are VERY likely to be deeply in bed with this "Swift Funds" which is most likely a construct of one or many of the corporate board members of these gyms.

I just received a call from Valentino at Swift and he said Custom build personal training has a claim against me for $4800 but I only owe $1300 as I found out from the corporate office. But this guy from Swift said if my lights are still on and I have water in my house and a phone I'm not in bad shape, wtf??? He doesn't know what I have going on in my life!!! Anyway every time I call him he says, oh I just got out of court, yeah right. Anyway I asked him to send me a bill and I got nothing, then he says I can get on a hardship program which I don't qualify for and pay the $166 a month. Or they are taking me to court for breach of contract and then I'll owe $7000. I real don't know what to??? And he was rude as hell to begin with.
