It said my bank of America credit card had been lost and to press one to reactivate and speak with security.  I pressed one like an idiot, now fee like I need to call and make sure some loser isn't taking card out in my name!  If you get a call from this # don't answer!

I received a call from this number with an automated message informing me that my Debit Mastercard had been locked and to press "1" to reactivate it through their secure system.  I do not have a debit Master Card.  This caller seems to be a scam.

No matter what kind of message you get about a credit or debit card, ALWAYS call the number ON YOUR CARD to confirm any possible security problem.  Banks and other financial institutions do use third party notifications systems but with so much theft and call spoofing, it's difficult to know.  Read about "card deactivated" scams here:

Recording called today Sunday morning. Said my debit card was locked. Gave a number; didn't call and it hung up. Called the calling number back rang twice and hung up. Checked my bank and no message. Sounds like a scam.

Same as other posts:  A call from "Direct Express" stating my debit mastercard had been locked and to press one to be connected to the representative to get it unlocked.   It sounded very legitimate--especially if you happen to own a debit mastercard--with its automated message.

I have no debit mastercard.  Hung up.  I usually don't answer but was thinking it had to do with some travel reservations I recently made.
    • Caller: supposedly "Direct Express"

Got the call 9 am on Sunday. Was half asleep and I accidentally answered it. The recording said they regret to inform me that something had been deactivated. To reactivate press 1. I didn't, and then it just hung up. I called the number back but it only rings once and then nothing.

Just received call this morning stating my direct express card was locked and I needed to press 1.  I don't have one of those cards but was curious so I pressed 1 to unlock.  It asked me to enter my card number.  Total scam !!  Going to block this number although I don't think it slows them down from trying to steal peoples card information.  The Name on the caller ID was "Asterik".

I just received that same call, Sunday, 10:53 am, on my cell phone.  I answered the phone and I got a recording" We regret to inform you that your direct express mastercard was lost."  Told me to press a button, which I didn't, just hung up and blocked the number.  Whoever it is, is having a busy day based on the number of replies here.
