Caller ID, "Toll Free Call", Called at 7:34 am.  Blocked

The call was legit. The number belongs to West Penn Power / First Energy and is used for notifying customers of scheduled outages and other issues. I don'y have a dog and I have a remote read meter so I can only assume that they might use the same number to contact people about meter readings. It was a recording so I'm marking it as a safe number

This is an electric bill SCAM. The perpetrators are SPOOFING the power companies number to make it LOOK legit. Beware of SCAM!

I answered,. Heard noise in background like people were there. I don't live in Ohio. No power outages for months. Electricity meter is on outside of building with multiple units. No issue with dogs on property.  Might be new scam?

It's a scam.  They want to switch your service to a different provider. Do not give them your 20 digit customer number because they will switch your service

When person answered I said I did not wish to speak to him. He then turned around and go F--- myself also called me a [***]. I said I would report him and he said go ahead do what you want and again used the foul language. Stop this unwanted calls please.

Scammers are spoofing the electric company's number.
