Threatening calls all the time!

I JUST GOT THAT CALL TODAY

I was left a voicemail about credit card debt and a threat to file a notice of action. Called and asked the person who answered more info. They already have everything about me. She said I was mailed a letter in November. I said I wanted more info about the debt. She wanted a payment of $3,000. Needless to say, if this was a real debt a small claims case would be filed against me in the state and county in which I live.

Same as everyone else.    Call came from an unknown caller.   "First attempt to made to serve a notice of action pertaining to an investigation finalized against you....."

Just got the same call as the others.  Came in as restricted number.  In the message left no company info given, no names.  Just a really long reference number in the message the male voice spoke so fast I couldn't write anything down.  Unless I get a notarized subpoena in my hand from a real person I will ignore this crap.

Same script as everyone else, except I was a consultant for credit with a law firm, under Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, they must give their name, name of company, legal address and phone number, and in most states, a permit number held with the Dept. of Insurance. If you try to collect and no permit? You can imagine the fines. Also no one calls to warn you of papers being served. Its also illegal to threaten an action you do not take. These guys really need to be prosecuted. I called the number back on a computer and a guy answered saying "Legal". Should have answered "Illegal" and I couldn't stop laughing.

Same message as everyone else.  The weird part is they called leaving this message for me by my maiden name which I haven't used in 25 years.

i called them back they had my name and a debt from years ago and as i asked them for there information they hung up on me

They called yesterday and today. From 888-609-9452 and (866) 392-2173. Same scam threats as above. The call comes in as a 'private number' then when  they leave a voicemail their real number is displayed. I may have debt from 10 years ago but not recent. Their threats are insane and I don't see how they can actually lie like this.

They have called 3 times leaving a voice mail.  They keep calling me by a name i haven't used in 16 years!  And if it were a debt that is that old they can not take any legal action on it!

I got the same message today 3/3/25. Every time they call I try to yell into the phone or burst their ear drums with my mic and karaoke machine

Spam. They wanted me to call back. Then ask for my last 4 of ss number I hung up.

I just got a voicemail from this AI bot saying
It's call is to notify J2 that this is our first attempt to be made to serve you a notice of action pertaining to an investigation being finalized against you for further details on the case or to change its active service status please call us back at 888-609-9452 that number again is 888-609-9452 please reference case number of XXXX failure to contact them immediately will result in further legal action against you…”
I won’t call back and I have no pending anything against me. Hah

I also received a call from this number. The call didn't come through due to it being "private". They left a voicemail saying that a notice of action pertaining to an investigation was being finalized against me. No mention of what that investigation is for. They gave me a case number: 1102518365. After seeing these posts, I am definitely not calling back.

A call came in to notify me that it was their first attempt to call me and notify me that I'm going to be served with papers for an investigation against me. They gave me a case number and if I don't call back future legal action will occur. They really didn't know who they had just called, really I'm an attorney, good luck guys.

left a voicemail saying that further legal action would be taken if I did not contact them back. But they new my full name and kept asking for the last 4 digits of my SS number. I would not give that to them but the lady said that they were miller or milner and associates. I have tried looking up this name and the only thing that shows up is a divorce attorney or a talent agency. One is in salt lake utah and the other is in Indianapolis In. It should be against the law for a collection agency if that's what they truly are to call you and say that an investigation is open on you and further legal action will be taken.
