I also get called several time a week for someone else. Since telling them they have the incorrect number did not work,  I have put them in my call blocked numbers with my cell service.

The number belongs to Nuvell Financial also known as National Auto Finance Company.  I have a car loan with them and on the fifth day after my payment is due they call me.

My situation is this:  I totaled my car. My insurance settled. As soon as the insurance settled I called and said I need to make payment arrangements for the balance. I was told they don't do that and to wait and their collection department will contact me and make the arrangements. Okay. That was in November 2008. In March of 2009, I get a letter from an agency and so I called and immediately made the arrangements.  

I'VE BEEN PAYING my monthly payments as arranged (was NEVER LATE on the car payments nor the balance-owed payments) AND they STILL called 4 or 5 times at home and 4 or 5 times at work.  I quit answering - they never leave messages. I wrote and told them that I'm making my monthly payments and to stop all telephone communications with me (as per the provisions under Federal Law and under the laws of the State of Texas). Within 2 weeks they sent me a letter saying they're reporting me to the credit bureaus!  

I called about that.  The rep sent a note to the supervisor and told me to call back next week for a status update. I did. The supervisor noted on the account that "the payoff from the insurance was in Nov 2008 and the first payment for the balance was in March of 2009, the decision stands as is."  [Did they do that on purpose ... put off contacting me for over 90 days just so they can hold that over on a person??? Until they contacted me, I didn't even know where to send a payment.] I asked to speak with a supervisor and I was put into his voicemail. I've called two more times and I never get a return call. They make it hard to care about moneys owed.

I am filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney Gereral's office and the Federal Trade Commission as well as filing a dispute letter with the credit bureaus.

This call is from Nuvell. They are shady company that does loans for GMAC on people considered "high credit risk". They call 15 times a day, it's usually an automated call and it never leaves a message. If you get a call from a "person", the message they leave is usually very rude and demanding. They start calling on the first day after you payment is due and they don't have their money. They are based in Arkansas if that helps explain what's wrong with them.

I get "dead air" calls from this number every day - they call, I pick up, no one answers, and then the line drops. Every day.

We get silent calls from this phone number almost every day.

I dont know why they are calling me. I dont even have a car loan

The call is from Nuvell, this is are financial services reps. they only call when you are late making your car payments.

I do not have a payment with Nuvell and never have that I know of and my current truck payment is at least 2 weeks ahead of schedule each month, but I am now getting a call several times a week from this number and they wont leave a message and they even call on Saturdays now. I don't know what there problem is.

They keep calling my cell and even though I tell them they have the wrong number everyday, they still call.  I will try to block with Verizon.  I entered them on my id list so now I can answer in a foreign language or fake foreign language and see if that helps.

I received four calls asking for Don R..... a person I am unfamiliar with. I explained all four times who I am and each time the lady apologized and said the problem would be corrected. I hate to do it, but now I just hang up on the calls without answering them because I STILL receive about two calls a day.

I called 888 673-8490 and "Mary" told me a prrevious operator had made a notation that this is the wrong number. She further stated that she (Mary) would have the number erased within 24-48 hours.

I work for a sheriff's department in Colorado and this is my work cell phone, I have had it for a year and a half and the calls started about a month ago.

This phone number has come up nearly every day several times a day looking for one of our employees since last September. They have not stopped! We have told them he works second shift and it is impossible to reach him here. I had brought this to the attention of the executive director of our company. He wanted to speak with them the next time they call. By the way if you hold on long enough when they call they answer. Our exec. dir. told them they are no longer to call here and harass and interrupt our work place. We do not give personal phone calls to our maintenance workers and this one works second shift who is not possible to reach. They completely ignoried his demand. We have Caller ID so I ignore the phone when they call. That is nearly one year. THAT is harassment in the workplace!!

THIS IS A COLLECTOR FOR NATIONAL AUTO LOAN.  I'VE HAD MY LOAN WITH THEM FOR 2 YEARS, NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT UNTIL APRIL OF THIS YEAR.  LOST MY JOB 2 YEARS AGO AND WAS ON UNEMPLOYMENT TO THE WHOPPING TUNE OF $168.00 PER WEEK, MINUS WHAT I GOT PAID AS AT A PART-TIME RETAIL JOB.  I CALLED THEM AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION, I MADE PAYMENTS WEEKLY OF WHAT I COULD AND THEY STILL CALL ME AND THREATEN TO REPOSSESS MY CAR.  I'VE BEEN CURSED, CALLED A DEADBEAT AND WORSE.  MY CHURCH HELPED ME OUT THIS MONTH AND I CHECKED TODAY AND THE PAYMENT WAS APPLIED, I JUST GOT A PHONE CALL AND I DIDN'T ANSWER IT AND IT WENT TO VOICEMAIL.  WHEN I WENT TO MY VOICEMAIL, I GOT THE MESSAGE, 'PLEASE HOLD ON FOR AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE' THREE TIMES IN A ROW THEN SOMEONE CAME ON THE LINE.  HOW CAN THEY DO THAT?  

I'M TRYING MY BEST TO MAKE REGULAR PAYMENTS TO KEEP THEM OFF MY BACK BUT I WAS TOLD THAT IF I AM ONE DAY LATE AND OWE MORE THAN ONE DOLLAR I WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE CALLS UNTIL THEY ARE SATISFIED.

I've gotten six phone calls from this number today and it is only 2 days past the due date. I have a notorized statement which I sent to them saying that they could not call me at work. Only before 8:30 and after 5:00. This doesn't matter to them and they are the ones who told me to send them a 'Cease and Desist' order. I tell them every time and they blame it on thier automated system. This is crazy.

I will never use this company again once my car is paid off.

i get this messages or calls also.  They start coming as soon as you go one day past your due date. What i have done is post a payment online for when i am able to make a payment, and they stop calling.

This number used to ALWAYS call me nonstop, note that I'm only 16 years old and don't even have a car. I told them I don't know how many times that they had the wrong number and continued to call me. So one day I just ballistic on one of them and they havnt called since.

Oh and theyve been calling me for about 4 years now. Might I say that some guy threatened to come take my parents cars away and was saying my address trying to scare me, also harrassing me. I hate these [***].

they let phone ring..ring..ring...leave no message on machine..today they  called 8 times consecutively

I have receieved 8 calls from this number in the past 24 hours. That is harrassment! When I answered the phone it is a recorded message, so I can't even tell them to stop calling. That is total harrassment and should not be tolerated from any business!
