    The Federal Reserve is the problem and people like you who worship it. Pay your debt with what? The big corporations are hoarding all the money. You can't take from people who don't have anything left to give to you. Too bad.

    well I actually called PDM to settle a debt and they said they would not sent any information through the postal service or email to verify amount owed. They would not tell me how much was owed or any kind if reference or account number on debt. ALL they wanted was a bank account number and routing number so they can directly withdraw the amount owed.. are these people f***ing stupid or something? right let me give you my info and not know how much what its for and claiming you cant send anything in mail.... get real

    I don't think you will ever get your money back.  They sound like "hicks"!  Won't tell you what it's about and expect you to send them money?!  What planet are they from?  I have a friend who is a bill collector and she is a nice person until she gets to work.  She says they are trained to scare you and make you feel like s**t.  Great job for "gargoyles".  My friend is pretty, but ugly insides will show on the outsides!  She quit her job and got another one.  She was getting "crabby" looking from being mean.

    bankrupt
    I lost my job 3 yrs ago due to a medical condition.  Then, I declared bankruptcy.  All of my debts were discharged.  It is illegal for collectors to contact me.  According to my lawyer, collectors can check whose debts have been discharged through bankruptcy and I can sue any collector who continues to contact me by phone or mail.  P.S. I never took out any payday loans, as I see someone was talking about.

    They guess.  If you pick up the phone they ask questions, then they find a way to make it about you.
    Therefore, these ******** SCAMMERS *******   need to find a real job and perhaps not lie as a profession

    Received voice message at work from "Naomi Grant of PDM" (caller id: 908-398-0080) asking that I or my legal representative call her back immediately at 888-676-9872 ext. 1214. I have never heard of this outfit before. Scare tactics like this don't work on me. If they acted like a valid collection agency, I would have a letter in accordance with the FDCA act that clearly states the name of the original creditor, the loan number and the amount owed with a statement that I have 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt. They aren't acting like a legitimate debt collector. They can go pound salt.

    Did you check to see if they have the right mailing address??? Perhaps you should check your credit report. Maybe you should even return the call and find out what it's in regards to. CA's are only obligated to send letters to the address provided by the OC. If you move around a lot they may not be able to catch up to you.

    This number has been calling me everyday and said they will continue to call til I pay. I told him I don't have a job at the moment and I'm doing my best as it is ,I will pay as soon as I can . And he said it didn't matter if i had a job or not that i could send in a dollar at a time if needed everyone could get that. He was rude and disrespectful and then he started talkin about his self about he pays his dept with no problem and he's a father of 4 and has grandchildren . Like that has anything to do with me . Then I said I didn't care about u and ur sittuation and yall need to stop blowing up my phone every five mins and he started to say c u just said u didn't care if u pay ur bill or not . And I didnt say that at all . Theses ppl really don't care bout what u say to them.

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    •is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    •refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    •asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    •exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

    •Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.•Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
    •Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
    •Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
    •Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
