It's from Southern California Edison

It's from SCE to remind me that there will be a power outage in my area from 9-11am tomorrow.  I already recevied a postcard for this even last week.  It is not a spam.

They should just leave a message then. Don't understand why they call if they can't even leave a message.

I used the edison web site and flowed their instrutions: they said not aware of any outages in my area

Three or four calls today...why don't they leave a message?

I see that I missed a call from this number today. They did not leave a message for me either.  But it makes sense after reading the posts here.  I received a post card last week regarding a scheduled power outtage for tomorrow (Edison).

Power outage? I thought ENRON was banished from existence when they were caught suggesting power outages to make money from. Must be a new company going unethical. There is no real reason for power outages.

This number has called 3 times in a 3 hour period with no message left...I guess it's probably SCE as stated in previous posts since I received a postcard indicating a power outage scheduled (can't remember the date).

Got 4 calls from this number yesterday. Didn't know if it was a vendor I had contacted or another business I was expecting a return call. Didn't have time to talk to whoever it was. Didn't leave a message, so I wasn't in any hurry to return their call or answer future calls if I was preoccupied. I then came to this site and saw others confirm it was SCE. I am their customer and was already aware of a scheduled power outage today. I don't understand why they don't leave a message. Not telemarketers, not spam, etc. Legitimate call.

Except when they are doing major maintenance in your neighborhood as I'm sure is the case for me. They had a similar scheduled power outage (notified me via post card and phone call) a few months ago. I saw a lot of work being done when I arrived home (power was still out).

I just had the same problem and I was very sad as it was taking away my minutes which I am short of already;  so I called the number and the lady was nice and told me that my number could be belonging to somebody else a year ago and that somebody is who they are trying to locate to pay or something;  so finally she told me she will take this number off their list so nobody should be calling this number as it does not belong to who they are trying to get.

Thanks Darci!  I never answer those calls...I did receive notice that my power would be out.
They have called twice today, but again, if they just left a message, that would clear things up and
they wouldn't have to continue calling.

Long Beach 90803 will have an outage 9 AM to 5:30 PM 09/15/2011 due to damaged equipment

this # called twice today, no msg. left. I guess it's SCE like everyone says.We are going to have a scheduled outage Monday. they really need to just leave a msg.

As with the others it is Edison.  We have an outage scheduled for tomorrow so that work can be done on the system.  They did not leave a message though.

These fools are calling my cell ph up here in Canada! they wont stop

It's So CA Edison letting us know about a rolling black out. No biggie.

Why can;t they leave a message!?!?! Kept getting called - didn't recognize # - decided to google and found this info.
