Edison called 4 times yesterday and hung up.  No message.  Even legitimate callers who use telemarketer tactics receive no respect from me!

In this case, they are replacing power poles. So yeah, there is a reason.

No message, but pretty sure it's to remind about a planned outage tomorrow while they replace some poles/transformers. Glad they called, actually. I had gotten a written notice but forgot.

Says they are SoCal Edison, but I do not have an account with them. Don’t know why I’m getting calls about a power outage.

If it was Edison, they need to use a Caller ID.  I blocked it without answering.

Wow, 7 years later and they still don't leave a message. I don't answer unknown numbers, and this number has called twice today with no message. I too have a scheduled outage tomorrow so based on the previous reports found here, I am going to assume it is SCE and program them into my contacts. Just ran the number through HIYA which confirms caller is Edison Electric. Glad I checked here first, as I was actually about to BLOCK the number.

just received a call. No message on my end either. I actually had no time to even pick up the call because they hung up right away. Good thing for Google because now I know it's Socal Edison calling for the power outage that's been planned for tomorrow.

Or it more probably is scammers who spoofed that number to try to collect an "overdue" bill or to switch you to a different provider.  After all, if it was that important they would have left a message.

Yet one more person who's never heard of phone number spoofing.

I believe it's from SCE. I also got the paperwork about it in the mail and expected the outage. BUT these idiots don't identify themselves as SCE in their caller ID just "Toll free call".
SCE hasn't set up their system to get past our very necessary blocking of spam calls...they don't leave a message,  and they keep calling repeatedly. Annoying.

I have to ask: why did you look up a known number? And what kind of legitimate company doesn't 1: Identify themselves on the CID and 2: leave a message? If the call is about something important such as a planned outage, why wouldn't they leave a message?

SCE probably calling to remind of the scheduled outage.  Did not leave a message, which is really dumb.

Like many others, I never pick up calls from unknowns. If it’s legit and they leave a message I’ll respond. So I find it insanely stupid that SCE doesn’t leave a message.

It's quite likely this isn't SCE calling but is, in fact, a scammer spoofing the number.

I called got So Cal Edison, said they didn't call, it's a scam. Great, now what do we do?

Do about what? You confirmed it was a scammer who called you, so now you know you can ignore it. :)
