Edison reminding us of power outage tomorrow.

Got a notice from Edison last week saying there will be a power outage tomorrow.  Checked on-line today and they say it is cancelled.  Now I get a call from this number but no message.  What am I supposed to surmise from that?   I guess we'll know the answer when the lights go out.  Very unprofessional, to say the least.

We do have a scheduled power outage tomorrow.
If it is Edison they should leave a recorded message like Waste Management does about delayed pick ups.

This number called me at least four times today - no CID and no message.  There is (another) power outage scheduled for tomorrow so I'm assuming this call is from Edison.  Why they would hide their identity and leave no message is beyond me.  Maybe they are worried that the outage isn't enough aggravation, so they add anonymous phone calls to their repertoire.  There must be a better way to do business.

I'm not 100% convinced this is SCE. I have received 14 - yes, FOURTEEN - calls from this number today. They have never left a message. I picked up on three of the fourteen calls and there's no person on the other end, no automated message, not even line noise, just dead silence and then a hang up. We were supposed to have a legitimate power outage this past Monday but the power never went out on Monday and SCE's site says that the power outage I received the card for has already passed with no information about a rescheudled outage or any future outages in my area. I've called this number back but just get a rapid busy tone and have not been able to connect to anything. I called SCE's customer service number and they said they do have automated outbound numbers but the representative I spoke with didn't show this as one of their numbers. As much of a pain as SCE can be at times they're actually a pretty well-organized company when it comes to things like outages, billing, etc. and even on their worst day they've never called me 14 times in one day. Unbelievable.

It is Southern California Edison. I do have a power outage scheduled tomorrow that I received notification via postcard. The call is a reminder the day before they cut the power but they never leave a message.

They must notify some of us in the mail, by phone and by email as I have an oxygen generator on 24/7.

SCE reminding of power outage the next day. They never leave a message. But if you miss the first call, they will attempt another automated call later in the day.

Here they are again.  Same M.O. - no ID, no message.  This is the FOURTH time in three months that SCE have sent me a card saying to expect an outage and nothing has happened.  I do wish they would get their act together.  Very unprofessional, to say the least.

These really are messages from SCE. They apparently use a contractor to deliver planned outage notices that show up as "800 Service" on CID. Seems the system doesn't work very well though.

I've gotten two calls this early evening. We have a scheduled power outage tomorrow so that must be it (I haven't answered--I hate the phone). They haven't left a message because I don't have room in my messages (again... I hate the phone).

And here we go again.  SCE have sent me at least one notice a month about "scheduled" outages.  These notices are followed by numerous anonymous phone calls with no ID and no message, but which I have found out from this site are supposed to be reminders.  Every time this happens, I plan my day around not having electricity, all for nothing.  This is positively the last time!  Very unprofessional, to say the least.

I've received two calls from this number this afternoon. When the answering machine picks up, the caller hangs up.
