Rude individual, obviously a debt collector.  Looking for someone with my common first and last name.  Gave a last 4 of the SSN that were not mine, would not believe it.  Called me names, said I'd better wake up.  Would not give his name or the company he represented.  Called the number back and prompted for the legal department, same jerk answers the phone.  Asked to speak to the manager and he shouts out "does anyone here want to pretend they are the boss".

Might be united states legal investigations well that's what they call them selves. If this is your 1st phone call with them it will not be your last. They are an  illegal debt collections co. They are rude, don't call them back. They will keep calling even if your not the person they are looking for. They go under other phone number 2 952-992-6315. they have  other number on here are well just in case they keep calling you back. they are do illgeal no one know's there real address.  we are working on it. If you look up on the web site for bud hibbs under bass and associtates. This might be them?
I hope they don't keep calling you i've had a night mare with them.

I got a call from them and they threatened me with legal actions. SO I called them back wondering what it was and they answered CCF & Associates. I was transferred around then I was told that they have a case against me and if I had recieved a summons when I said no, they said good I can still put a cease & desist on the summons, I would however need to pay 30% of my debt with a prepaid debit card, I asked for documentation, and I was transferred again, this time to a lady who when I asked for documentation asked why I did not want to help myself and that legal actions will now be taken and good luck with that and she hung up.
This is scary can they actually do that? I was told it was for a debt in 2002.

Well I just got a call from that same number saying for me to call back because I am a person of interest and if I dont call back they will take it into their hands to handle this problem. I did  call back thinking it might be the police but then I hung up and figured if it was the police they would of come to my door. So I hung up and input that number and saw this website of  complaints. so glad i didnt speak to anyone. What can be done on this so that they wont be calling back? This is so weird.

I received a call from a Mr. Williams, trying to sound like he was representing an attorney. He told me about a debt from 2001, which I can't find on my credit report. He tried to negotiate a payment plan, when I told him I couldn't afford to pay anything he then lowered the amount he would accept. I told him I would have to sit down and figure my bills out and I would call back. He called me back the next day and I told him I could not talk right then and hung up on him. That's when I decided to look up the company and find out what it was about. I did not expect to find this website and read all the other posts about dealing with this company.

I got a call from 888-762-5195, but didn't answer it, and when I had a change I googled this number and sure enough it was a scam of some sort.

A message was left for my husband that he owed a debt from 2005 and they were getting ready to files charges in the court system. When I called them back I spoke to a Michael Williams he informed me that my husband owed this bill for $267 from 2005. If we pay it off in the next 45 days it will be $367 and we will not have to pay for court cost. He said he would cut me a deal and let me make 2 payments of $183.50. All I had to do was give him a post dated check. I told him I would call him back, he said the offer was only good for 2 days. I looked up 888-765-5195 the number he told me to call him back on and found it was a scam. I call Mr. Williams back and told him that I know your company is a scam I looked it up on the internet, he started to argue with me. I told him whatever and hung up.

Penny, ignore these [***].  They are scammers.  They tried to collect on a "debt" that I apparently had in 2001 with AT&T.  I never had AT&T anything in my life.  Even so, they are way out of the statute of limitations in collecting on a debt that old.  Oh yeah, they threatened to have me served with a court summons, come to my work and be arrested, the whole bit.  I immediately went on the internet and found out they are bottom feeder scam artist "collectors" that try to collect on very old or non-existent debts via using bogus scare tactics.  They've been harassing me for more than a year and guess what.  Nobody has ever garnished my wages, had me arrested and darn it, I've never received that summons!  They come and go.  They'll call every day for like a month and then disappear for a month or 2 and then call back again.  The best thing to do is to just keep a watch on that caller ID and not pick up if you don't recognize the number.  They won't do jack.  It's an attempt to scam you out of money you don't owe.

Have received several calls from this number for someone not in our home.  I called and told them the individual did not live at our home and to take our number out of the system.  Got two more calls and I called again and got "Steve Williams" who said it would take 30 to 45 days to get the number out of their system.  I told him that is BS and he got offended. He said he would terminate the call and I told him I was calling the Attorney General of the state....and I did too!!

Got a call from this number telling me that there was a very important matter that I needed to take care of immediately and that if I did not do so soon they would make This very important decision for me. Looked them up on Google and found this site. Can these people be reported to the Do Not Call Registry?  I dont owe any body any money, past or present.

I got this same "person of interest" message left for me today. I'm not calling them back. Sounds to me like they're preditors.

I just got a call from this number and they also said that they had to have a prepaid debit and 30% of the debt will need to be paid.  Then they threatened legal action.  I hope this is a scam, I was almost ready to give them my info, but decided to google this number first, and glad i did!

Rcvd numerous calls at our business number, have repeatedly called to tell them we have never heard of the person they are calling for and to remove our number from their datatbase.  We can't send them written notice to decist because we have no contact info and we intend to file a complaint with the appropriate entities.

Got a call from this number. Asking for not myself, but ironically a person I actually know. Saying he's a person of interest in a legal matter, and to respond right away or actions would be taken by them on his behalf. Only problem is, they called my number, listed under my name and a cell number to boot! So why the hell are they calling me. I'm not sure if this is a scam or not but if it is I'm not concerned cause I would'nt give out my info to these [***] anyway, nor should anybody who gets a call from these yuppies!  If they are a debt collector, and find the person they called my number for, maybe they can let me know. The same [***] there looking for, "which by the way I havn't seen in 3 years" owes me money to! But as far as them calling my number. You would think the fact that its listed in my name and the fact that my voicemail gives them my name, which is nowhere even close to sounding like the name they're looking for, would give them a [***] clue that i'm not the person they're looking for. I pay my [***] bills! I hope they call back and wanna get nasty with me and not believe who I say I am. I love it when I get a chance to talk some [***] every now and then. It probably is a scam. I've noticed that the other comments on here have different variations of who these people claim to represent as far as the company goes that is. My call was from the "so called" Cornerstone Resolutions Group representing attorneys or some [***] like that.

Phone rang up as "Unknown Name" but with this number 602.218.5836 (which upon research is an unlisted landline based in Phoenix, AZ. The caller from the above number left the following recorded message (even though we have a "Do Not Call/No Solicitors" block on our phone). The caller was looking for a person who does not live at our address, the female computerized "English accent" voice stated that "we are persons of interest in contacting (the person who does not live here) and that if we do not immediately call 1.888.762.5195 EXT. 1 (this number when researched did not turn up any information), steps would be taken to immediately begin "deficients" from our account without our knowledge. No business name or the woman caller's name was ever mentioned during this message.
Since I am not in the habit of contacting unknown name and numbers or replying to unwanted/unwelcomed messages ... especially ones like above, I have no plan to contact either the "602" or the "888" numbers noted above.
