I got a call from 1-888-762-5195 last month telling me that an important decision would me made with out me. The company is called Corner Stone Soutlions (or Resoultions). I had an very rude person named Tonya and told me why she didn't understand why I didn't pay a payday loan in the amount of 135.00. not true I paid that loan off two years ago. Now, I'm told I owe 1250.00. Hell No! Everyone, make sure you order your consumer report too along with  your credit report. Many payday loans report unpaid checks on your consumer. My guess is that the data is never updated and ramdon collection agencys sell off debt they can't collect to another 3rd part. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how current this is.

Just received a call from this number, glad I looked it up. I do not answer calls from unknown numbers on my cell phone while at work (if its important they'll leave a message). This number said they were calling for someone I've never heard of, about a social security fraud case. Sad thing is, they must have success using these calls to scam people.

Melissa, it is a scam! Call your local police department, and turn the 'so-called' company in!

K must work for the scamming company. Call my number again, and I will call an attorney and sue for harassment!! I'll also throw a little scamming on top!

I've been receiving calls from this place for months!! One call a day at least. They keep asking for my husband.
I'm sure this 'supposed' debt collector will call back tomorrow. I will then take my own 'LEGAL' action!

Just had a call from them again.  It said "Legal Services" on the caller ID.  When I answered no one answered back.  Hung up on them.  They started calling at 7am PDT, which is illegal.  For all states debt collectors can only call between 8am - 7pm on weekdays and not before 9am on weekends.  This is the second call this morning.

Well my dad passed away a little over a yr ago.....so when I heard 3 messages on my home phone requesting him or his representative to contact them immediately, blagh blagh blagh.....I was just exciting to hear someone calling me about my dad and I called them back and left them a vmail mssg saying call me back on my cell phone#! hahah! what a joke! I wish I would've searched online prior to calling them back! WOW! Maybe I should have my laywer call them back! wish I knew a police officer to call them back! well, thanks for posting everyone! Great information and next time I will search unknown#s prior to jumpn to call them back! ugh......God Bless U people!

And leaves me a cute msg. something about my ssn a legal issue both civil and criminal asking
Me to phone him back asap. First of all he call on a Saturday, I've never had a collector call on Saturday, second I fell for this last year ( around the same time of year ) unfortunately for me to the tune of 450 and change. Not I've never received a invoice for money I owe and to whom I owe it to, and I never received a receipt for money paid, furthermore nothing shows up on my credit report from these people! All this from the first time they called last year!
And now 04-21-2012 Saturday I get another call! What nerve!!!! Effin scamers!!! Don't pay em!!!

I looked up their website, and they buy bankruptcy files. Just buying a doesnt mean they have standing to collect. This doesnt make any sense, since you cant touch a person in bankruptcy. So I guess its one of the these companies that go after people KNOWINGLY, and WILLFULLY not having the authority to collect. This illegal, and every one on this board can sue. They probably go after dead people too.

these people called me teling me i had allegations pending regarding civil and federal concerns to call him back asap the number was 1-888-907-3631 ext 256, i have no back bills and this company has no right to call me and tell me other wise   (SCAM)

I found this online. Same company, another phone number. Looks like CRG Associates and Cornerstone Revolutions are one in the same....or are working together....

yes it Is a scam. I get calls from them just because I looked into a loan online once but never took it! thanks for the "deadbeat debtor" name, but that's not me.

i got a call from makayla at cornerstone recovery group and they said i had used a fraudulant social security number and then rattled off the last 4 of my number when i try to return this call no one answers and ive left messages...this is a total flop and i hope they call me back so i can report to the local police dept for fraud.
