- melissa from california replies to tgs| 3 repliesWell thank you for getting back to me but i would like further responces from others.... your going to tell me all these people are lying???? theres nothing on this company so there for im very concerned!!!!! please help if anyone else has read my story!!!
- GeorgeThis company the Cornerston Resolutions Group called asking for me and wanted me to confirm that the social security number they had on file was mine. They used a thinly veiled threat that decisions would be made about "my account" without my knowledge. They claimed on their "hold message" that they work with a network of attorneys.
As soon I got tough with them and told them that I would not verify my social or anything about me other than my first and last name, the caller backed right off and disconnected the call. He was polite enough, but I could tell that he was quite used to dealing with people and as soon as I refused cooperate he backed right off.
I am under the impression that this is a third party collector of some kind. I encountered one years ago called "Harry Conn and Associates". These types of groups like to use strong arm tactics and say scary things to make people send them money for old debts that have been charged off by the original creditors. My understanding is that buy your information from old debtors for pennies on the dollar and they try to collect the money from you directly; it is not illegal to do this as far as I know, but you don't have to pay these people or even speak to them.
If an attorney REALLY wants to talk to you, he will send you legal papers by process server; he won't use under educated pseudo-con men to call you on the phone and basically bully you into paying them money that you don't even actually owe to them. This is only a step or so above extortion. They can make things look really legal, they can use legal terms like "docket number", "complainant"...any number of many, many legal terms to make you scared. Don't let them scare you, don't let them intimidate you, don't communicate with them. No legit attorney is going to use such services. And for crying out loud...don't confirm your social...EVER to anyone who CALLS YOU!!
Keep your chins up people! And have a NICE day!!- Caller: Cornerstone Resolutions Group
- andrewI've been receiving calls from this co for about a year now. Every time they call it is for a different person, and every time they tell me they have removed my number from their records but I still keep getting calls from them. They have went by two names with me, those names are ccr and associates, and cornerstone resolution group. Last time they called about a month ago I asked to talk to their boss and they put me through to a patrick miller, ext 714. Somehow I really doubt this guy is anything other than the guy in the cubicle next to who I was just talking to. I've tried getting an address so I can send a certified letter telling them to put my number on a no call list and was just on the phone with them and finally got an address. Who knows if this is the right address or not but I'm gonna give it a try, in case anyone wants that address it is 247 cayuga st box 10 cheektowaga ny 14225. Im still gonna google this address to see if it comes up with anything but just wanted to put this out there. Also another number I've been getting called from for this co is 214-484-0020. I hope this helps someone else out.
- geee replies to tgsTGS is obviously a scammer who works for this company, even the way they type makes them sound unintelligent. Don't listen to them!
- AJI keep getting calls from 888-762-5195 on my work phone asking for Tia Reed. I don't know anyone named Tia Reed. I told them they were calling a business number, they said they would remove it, but I keep getting calls from them about twice a month. They are idiots.

- ReeRee replies to B TolleI received a call from that same number (888-895-8613) stating that I had 48 hrs to contact them concerning pending allegations against my SS# and want me to to give a statement (which I won't do). It also includes a ext. #788.
- Bill replies to GenYeah they called my mothers house and told her I was a person of interest. At first I thought it was the police, who else ever uses the phrase person of interest other than law enforcement- nobody. Then I saw the number and thought why would the cops call me from an 800 number and came to the answer that they would not. I have filed a complaint because this seems to me to be implying that I have commited a crime as well as skirting the concept of impersonating a police officer. I have yet to contact my local police to see what other recourse I may have- small town the cops are closed until 9am.

Using VOIP to disguise numbers. (illegal to spoof caller id) - SuzwaI got a call from the 888-762-5195. I was not sure what they wanted so asked them who they were. They said CRG. I said never heard of you and they asked for me with an "a" at the end of my name. They asked if the name they were asking for was there. I said no. Heavy accent. Could not tell what one it was.
- Caller: CRG, I think
- CheeseQueenI got some calls from this place. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers (my message on both phones state that if a name & number don't show up on Caller ID or I don't recognize it, I won't answer the phone). After looking at this place (& knowing that I don't owe money to anyone), I answered one call. Some rude bozo with a foreign accent (Indian, I believe) said that my son owed "a large debt" & if I was a "good mother" I'd pay it off.
I don't have any kids, & the name the man used for the last name of my "son" wasn't mine. When I said that he had the wrong number, he threatened to call my employer to have my wages garnished & get me fired (if I get fired, how can I have wages to garnish?). I told him that I've been out of work since January & to go ahead & try, then hung up.
It sounds like a scam to screw with retired/elderly people.- Caller: Unknown
- Shirley| 1 replyI have tried to call these people back and let them know they have the wrong number, I am not the person they are looking for.
