Did they come thru for you,Pete? They contacted me yesterday and want $3500, promising a potential grant of $700,000!! Sounds too good to be true. You know what that means.

A Frank Powers form National Financial Advisors Inc wants $2,500.00 to start the process. I Told him that my lawyer was going to look at everything before I would send any money. He had told me about the 72 hour deal. I thought that his attitude on the time frame was a bit funny. The  office is located in Las Vegas NV and phone is 1-888-800-7951. he also gave me a web site for the secretary of state  www.sos.state.nv.us then you were to type in NFA group,Inc. I don't think this is the same company as National Financial Advisors???? What do you think???

I spent the afternoon investigating National Financial Advisors when they asked my wife for a faxed check to "insure" she was serious.

I called the BBB, who said "That is very suspect" No, really? They are not accredited with the BB and have been in biz since 6/2208 even though Dar Johnson (nice stunt name) said he has been there for 3+ years.

I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, I called the Nevada Attorney General's Office, and the Bureau of Consumer Affairs.

Any one issuing a Grant will NEVER ask for $$$$ up front and play on the hurry up 72 hour decision to play on your emotions.

It seems their price varies from $1595 to $3500 for the initial fee. They want to charge me less than $3000. I don't understand why they don't supply any data about their success, a contract with their schedule of services, and like others have mentioned, why they don't except other froms of payment over nighted by the postal service. There seems to be to many unanswered questions about this company. I think it would be best to check with the states' attorney before handing over any money.

I think you should call the states' attorney so you can get first hand knowledge on this company and if anything goes wrong then you can talk to the states' attorney to put in a complaint.

I was recently approached by Gary Wayne about grant funding for my business. I checked with the BBB which had no registered complaints about the company. It appears that the company has not been in business very long even though they were register in 2005 there doesn't appear to be any business conducted until the summer of 2008. I have been asked to fax a check to the company. This seems odd to me. The company does not offer any history of grant funding for clients. It would seem that Website design and some type of business plan is their only guaranty. Lots of companies offer Websites for as little as $30. They do offer their website business website with about four examples of former client websites. This really offers no info about grant recipients. I don't understand why they don't supply a signed contract as to what their service entails with the actual time frame of their services. Although I realize Grants get forwarded to the first qualified applicants 72 hours to perform the research on the grant funding company is just not enough time. This needs to be well thought out before proceeding and any reputable company would gladly do business with you during any time of the year as their business does not shut down 72 hours after their first approach with you. Grant funding continues right through to the end of the year. Because of all of the disreputable businesses out there this company needs to understand the need for the public to be cautious and give them some needed secure feeling about who they do business with. I'm sure their clients would not object to being on a client list for new clients to verify. I know I wouldn't if I were to receive the amount of grants they suggest I qualify for. I know there are a lot of gamblers out there in the entrepreneur world but the house always wins.

NFA is National Financial Advisors. And, why would they give you the Nevada Attorney General's Web Site if they had anything to hide? They have been oen for years, not months.
