I'm getting the same calls from Telus:, clicks, rattling but no voice.  I have received no new  service, and am unlikely to do so if this is the best they can do in an area where they are supposed to be experts!

This party called while we were not home.  Did not leave a message.  Usually, if a party does not leave a message, it is a scammer of some kind.

The  number  is Telus  Technical Support  number  which is  being spoofed by  fraudsters.
Out here...  the (phishing)  fraud has 2 parts
    1) They try to offer  existing  Telus customers an  upgrade at a lower price.  We all like a good deal.  If  you are interested... ( don't be) they then ask for  your information  including drivers licence  and Social Insurance Number) for a "credit check" (Telus  or other service provider you already dreal with would already have that info,  don't give it to them. )

The phony Telus person  may send you a confirmation email  and tell you that equipment will mailed to your address to be installed  for the upgrade.  There are errors in this email if you look closely, but at the time you usually dont  have the chance. They count on that.

    2) The scammers will actually use your identification to get credit/ service with another company such as Bell Mobility,  who will send  out  an Iphone or other valuable  for example  to your address.   The phony Telus person   will call back on other days to let you know about equipment arriving  and a  Telus technician to hook things up.  If that person actually comes to your home ( dont let them), they will will saw "oh , this is the wrong one, I will have to come back another day with the right  one". They will take  the phone  ( acquired from Bell Mobility in your name)  and likely have activated service from your number. You are now  on the hook for that  activated phone/ services.  Your have been scammed.  Your identity has been stolen.  You now have to unravel  your life  and your credit.

Best thing....  hang up/  don't answer. Save yourself grief

Yes, the message said it was Telus. Surely they must know how to add TELUS to the number so my call display can advise me who is calling? (I mean, they are the telephone call experts. Right?) If they did that then maybe some of us would answer.

I forgot to mention when the scammer called, he   asked me what’s my pin code, do not give this, why would Telus asked what’s my pin when I don’t own a Telus phone number.I told the scammer I suddenly got dementia, I don’t remember, the. I received three calls from this number, with Korean Hangul alphabet words in the name display. The number shows as a British Columbia number from TELUS. I don't live in B.C. and certainly do not speak or read Korean.

Answered because I'm a Telus customer, but the agent couldn't tell me the account number they're calling about.  This is either outbound marketing with a spoofed number, or scammers are trying to collect account information.

This number is TELUS from the Philippines and they threatened to cut off my landline with them unless I switched to their digital phone service. Told them go ahead and I will just switch over to Shaw and hung up on them!

I answered the call and was met by ringing that sounded like I dialled their number instead. I didn’t wait for someone to answer in case it was a scam call.
