- Big redMy husband received a call from Charter Comunications. We don't owe any monies to this company. Person on phone female and foreign sounding. DO not call them back asking them to quit bothering you as they will then consider it a legit call and keep bothering you. Just don't answer the phone and report them to the FTC. They are using many other numbers to call from. They texted my husband and left message that we owed money which is a illegal thing to do if you do owe monies. If the phone no longer belongs to the the person owing monies they are giving out private balance information. they are calling from 1-888-901-0293 and 1-877 384 9039 and 1-855-337 4193.

- MichiganderIf this is Charter Communications, it would be nice if when they have called my business 5 times today, they do not hang up as soon as the phone is answered. Seriously? How unprofessional can you be? 5 hang ups when we've answered? Ggggeeezzzzz
- Caller: ???? Hang up when answer - who knows?
- BainichThis number called me 3 times a day for several days. Even after I paid off my balance that was BARELY past due, they continued to call me multiple times a day, for several more days. I finally called the number back and asked why the f$&@ they were still calling me and some moron that doesn't speak English said she would leave a note for them not to call anymore. We'll see if it works.

- EPGot a call from this #. They horribly butchered my name, and when I asked who was calling, they hung up.
I do have Charter service, my bill has been overdue but was recently paid. Not sure what was the deal with this call. - AnonymousYes, this is Charter all right.... if you recently signed up for their great deal, don't be surprised when you find out your bill is overdue and they are about to disconnect your service. They lie about the monthly rate (they leave out all of the "fcc-required fees) that put your bill over $300 per month for basic cable/phone/Internet), and they also bill every 4 weeks, not 12 times a year, so you pay 13 times annually. You will never catch up with this bill unless you cancel your service. I've had this service less than one month and already owe Charter over $600. "Don't like it?" says the customer service rep -- "Then just cancel. We don't need your business."

- Rev. Kenneth E. HardeeFor the past 3 (three) days (11-26-2015 - 11-28-2015), I have received, at my house number (unlisted, wireless, Verizon), 11 separate calls from 888.9-1.0293. When I answer, their "robotic, answering machine" advises me to call ASAP for a "very, important message." Although I NOW know what it is, I call back JUST IN ORDER to talk to a LIVE person. The "robot" tells me I am $145.00 "past due,", that my "last pym't was 11/13/2015 in the am't of $87.00. I go through their little game until I can get someone live. Today, from 8:20 a.m. until 8:43 p.m, I have received 5 such calls. I have called them back, and "spoken to a live (supposedly) supervisor. I have advised them I have NEVER done business with Charter Spectrum, don't desire to do business with them, etc., and for them to take my name/number off their call list. Each time, they want me to tell them my name, which I refuse to do, cause I don't trust them. They advised me at 7:01 p.m., and now again at 8:43 p.m., that they "have sent an urgent EMAIL to their Billing Department for "immediate" withdrawal of my name/number from their files, that it is an error. Yet, they continue to call. I have told them 3 X's today that come Monday, I will contact the State Attorney's office, along with FCC and file a formal complaint, along with the Columbus County Sheriff's Department and, if possible, take out an "harassment charge" if it doesn't stop immediately. Their answer is, "Sir, that is your prerogative, there is nothing they can do, we're just trying to collect a debt!" Duh! What part of "I don't know ya'll, don't have any business with ya'll, I have my own T.V. and Internet with another company (then, they want to know WHO!). I need some relief!

- AnonThis is not Charter Communications! It is a common phone fraud scam, stop answering the phone when these random numbers call!
- DavidIf this is Charter, I do do business with Charter; however, since there is no caller ID, I do not answer. Since they leave a message, I do not call back.
- Caller: Charter
- RobGetting 3_4 calls per day, when I answer, no one is there. Messages left say to call charter regarding an important message. We don't have charter cable in this area. I spoke with a Rep one time when they called and tried to explain I was not "Mr. MICHAELS" ad the lady kept calling me, and she continued to try to get information from me, which I refused to give. Seems like a total scam!!!

- SueDespite all the reports that this is a scam, trust me this IS Charter Communications. If you're receiving scam calls from this number, then it has been spoofed by some other company. All the calls I have received from this number are legitimately from Charter.
My bill went past due this month due to some circumstances beyond my control, and when they called the first time, I made sure I spoke to them and made payment arrangements. However, I received FOUR other phone calls the same day - 2 robo calls and 2 live people calling - saying they were calling because my account was past due. I informed them I had made payment arrangements already - then they ask would I like to pay today? NO - because I already made payment arrangements for a later date. Well, they will note the account, then. I inform them it should have already been noted on the account from my earlier discussion with a rep - they tell me it takes 24 hours to update the system. So the consumer has to be hassled for as long as it takes their computer system to update? No kidding, they called me 4 times after I had already made payment arrangements, and instead of just saying thank you, they want to bug me to make a payment right NOW.....um....if I could make a payment right now, I wouldn't have made payment arrangements!!- Caller: CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS

- SueWow...they've called twice more since I left this report about an hour and a half ago and one of the reps got pretty snappy with me about it. I told him the same thing I told the others about the payment arrangement - he threatened to shut off my services and said they can't make payment arrangements (Oh really?? Then why do I have one in place??) all they can do is note the account (I've had 2 reps now say they are noting the account) - and that the calls won't stop, because they're automated. That's ok. My call block is automated too. They have called at 9:05am, 11:47am, 12:19pm and 2:03pm today. Ridiculous.
Crap happens. People sometimes are late on their bills when an unexpected emergency occurs. This company needs to figure out how to get their system to update payment arrangements if they want to keep their customers. I have *never* been late on my bill, ever. This is the first time. I feel bad enough about the bill being late, I don't need to be harrassed about it when I've already made arrangements on the bill.- Caller: Charter Communications

This is Charter Communications - Yes, they are calling from the billing department - Why are they calling and harrassing me, The bill is not due until April 6th ... Why is there no one on the line when I answer the phone or why am I hung up on when I answer ... This number has NEVER left a voice mail from me to contact anyone ...
I spoke to Charter today and advised them that I will be contacting the FCC and Better Business Bureau in regards to the harassment ... And even today (so far) this number has called 3 times including while I'm typing this (716am, 10am, 1111am) considering I found out this number is for Charter based on the information I found here at 800notes.com and I called Charter today at 1010am and reported the issues and this number is still calling me- Caller: Charter Communications
