These people called my grandfather and said that he had a criminal debt for a credit card. He doesnt speak English well and so doesnt my grandmother and they were trying to confuse them by saying information quickly without spelling any names correctly. They said the were going to send him information in 7 days! Also they said if he doesnt pay the debt or get information from him that he will go to jail for 10 years! This freaked him out. If u get called by this number or a restricted number, dont pick it up because it s a fraud!

Received a call on my cellphone--it was from "unavailable" the only reason I answered is because my father lives overseas and when he calls the number comes unavailable--so anyhow the lady seemed nice enough ask for me by name --I decided I was not that person at the time to gain more info-she asked if I could accept a summons for D***e on her behalf-she proceeded to tell me that D***e (ME) had given her this number to call (which by the way I DIDN'T) and they have a court summons for dianne to take care of concerning a civil lawsuit and if wasnt taken care within 3 hours a CRIMINAL Suit would then take place--I havent a clue what this is concerning but the rep straight LIED about myself giving her number and I said arent court summons suppose to be served in writing? She replied not always I said that diane had lived in same hom 12 years now wouldnt she have gotten served there--her reply was...well they may have tried 2 times but after that then it is a bigger problem--WTF--seriously who are these people and what the hell do they want she gave 888-906-3101  and a case #103300604  for me to get the message to Me  It seems to me these calls have to be breaking some kind of law--normally if you have a debt/court issue you would receive written something about it right?

Called my dad, which I barely speak to, and gave the same threat they have given others. I have three hours to call or I'll be arrested. I have called them twice, but the account rep, is always, "in a meeting with the attorneys" then I asked the receptionist on the first call what it was about. She told me she didn't know and they were in the business of filing lawsuits both civilly and criminally. I politely told her that I had already researched her company and know exactly what they do. A guy called a friend of mine and left a message stating his name Mike Davis and said he is with the census bureau and that they were looking for me! He left a case number and phone number 888-906-3101.

I have no earthly idea how they got his number.

I think this is against the law saying he is with the census bureau

This company called my brother, who is mentally disabled, and threatened him sayin he had 2 hours to get ahold of our sister if not either her or him would be put in jail. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW by the way, he panicked and had really bad chest pains because he doesn't talk to my sister and has no way of getting ahold of her. I called to let them know what they were doing that it was illegal to do that and the receptionist on the line claimed they would never ever do that but reading the messages here clearly she is lying. Because I know they did this to my brother. I will be recording the conversations from now on.

Recieved a message from a Mike Davis with a case # and said there was a summons to court and it was on hold for 24 hours.  This is BS and there is No Summons, and it is very illegal to do this!  AND they don't even have the right person!!! They want you to call 888-906-3101

there are a lot of us people who have bad debt thats true but a great deal of us also lost jobs, got sick, had deaths in our familes that caused us to be in this situation so how about just for a second shut up and stay off this site so those of us getting the calls can find out how to get help. have a great day

These people called my friends Mother (Very Elderly) saying a bench warrant would be served if I did not call them within three hours!  She was terrified!   What gets me is they had my phone number, address and never once tried to contact me or send me anything.  NOR did the Bank which they say they got this account from.  I dedmanded them to send me in writing everything pertaining to this issue as I have never NOT ONCE heard from them or the Bank about ANY MONEY OWED.  I recently received a settlement and I believe they are trying to get my money.  They say that I will receive a summons, however I want proof and copies of all paperwork sent to me and my attorney first.
 Can I sue them for almost killing my friends Mother?

Please let us know who these people are.  Like the others, a third party was contacted (extremely upset, very elderly) saying I had 3 hours to contact them or the civil case would go criminal.
Later when I tried to get information as to what this was about, she was very vague and said B/A was sueing me.  Then later said no they had bought a case from B/A & that I owed them money.   Well its been 15 years since I had dealt with B/A and I never owed them anything for anything.
 When I demanded to be sent - today by messenger! - everything in writing pertaining to this issue, she said I'd be served a summons.   I said no = i wanted everything in writing now. Today.  She said they'd already sent it before. I said NO I'd lived same place with same phone number and never had anyone from B/A or their firm ever try to contact me NEVER>   I wanted paperwork before anything else transpired and she hung up on me.
  I am not even legally that name anymore.
What can we do about these people?
Something Has to be done!    The person they called almost had a heart attack.  She's very elderly and ill and i can't believe she had to go thru this !!!    WHAT CAN WE DO?

Well you can sue them but the most you can get is 500-1,000 but if they are chasing you for your debt it is probably worth more than that which they will still be able to sue you for

They called my aunt in another state with whom I only lived briefly for 4 months -- over 5 years ago!
They told her I will be called to court if I don't return their call.  They need to stop calling people's family members.  They can not garnish my Social Security disability check.

I just received a very nasty and threatening call from a no good cockroach, I mean collector named Mary Rush who threatened to sue me, take away my cars and put me in jail! Ha, ha, ha! Why don't suck my di..! You're not getting [***] from me and I have already removed your collection from all of my credit reports! Sweet! Ha, ha, ha!!!

Same b/s that everyone else has reported. They call from a blocked # and tell you to call 888-906-3101, I told the guy that they are scamming people and that I was recording this phone call. They are so full of it and threats. Just a BIG SCAM!!! Do not pay these scumbags!!!!
