- scammer replies to Helen| 4 repliesdont you think hundreds of people reported our number to the FBI by now... If we were a scam we would be shut down right now idiot!
- FedUpWithCrap| 1 replyThey called the cell phone first with an unavailable number...Instead of leaving a message like a reputable place would do, they called another number. The number happened to be the work number of a relative. They didn't ask to speak with anyone in particular, just blurted out to the person that answered that they were looking for me and if I didn't call them back within 3 hours, I would be arrested. Court summons can be placed on your door....they do not have to be served in person. If it is a signature they need, registered mail works just fine. Do these people have no conscience at all?!
- replier replies to DamnThey called me with a name I havn't used for years asking if I would be home to recieve a summons. They wouldn't tell me anything but that my mother, using her full name, was filing a civil suite against me. I have never put any type of debit in writing with my mom. The question is how did they even get the information at all?
- Not an Idot replies to scammer| 3 repliesYou really should not pay these people. I received a call from them and asked for basic info about their company that they could not answer. They kept harassing me and even called my family and manager at work. I did a bit of checking and found that they must be licensed in my state so I called the State Consumer Protection division to lodge a complaint. They put me in touch with a State Consumer Protection Investigator who told me not to talk with the people at all. They are basically identifying theft in reveres that they are under investigation in both my state and California as well as by the FTC.
What they do is get info from a pay day loan service they are affiliated with run your credit report fined a debt and try and strong arm you into paying. He said the state had found no evidence they have any legal right to collect on the debts and that they have filed no law suits to recover any money. They choose old debts that are past the statute of limitation and are therefore not collectable so that when you pay they pocket all money and the real creditor gets nothing. Basically it is a scam they are preying on poor unwitting people with bad credit and now much knowledge of their rights in collection. If you receive a call like this for this company call the police and report it they are perpetrating a fraud. Then call your state and report it to them as they are most likely operating illegally. Finally call the Riverside County Sheriff’s office at toll free 800-950-2444 or 951-776-1099 and report the fraud to them. They have an open case and will take your statement right over the phone and will follow up with others they called.
It’s fair to say these con artist will be going to jail very soon. - Not an Idot replies to Not an IdotSorry for the poor grammar, English is not my friend but apparently the law is. I will dance when they arrest these [***].
- Not an Idot replies to Not an Idot| 1 replyLess than three hours for the Riverside Sheriff’s office to call my family and my manager to take statements. They were all told to report future calls to the Sherriff’s office promptly. The Sheriff’s office then called me and stated that I should give no information to them and to report any contact promptly. Defiantly a con game under investigation. I recommend when they call to conference (3 way) them with the Riverside County Sheriff’s office at the numbers above, that is what I am planning to do.
- Scam is Right replies to ,| 2 repliesScam is right, I called them and was told they don't give out their address. Finally got a supervisor who told me it was 1191 Magnolia Ave, Suite D396..... That is a UPS Drop box so when I sent them a certified letter demanding validation of the debt it was return as refused because UPS will not sign for a certified letter.
That tells me they are bogus since a Debt Collection company has to be able to receive certified mail.
These guys are not legit. They supposedly will be "sending me a summons" so watch out. The stupid thing about that is that I don't live in California so even if they did pay a local process server to give me the summons I will just fill out the affidavit of non residence send to to Riverside Superior Court and the case will be dismissed. To sue me over a debt they have to sue me in my state not theirs. A real collection company would know that. - Fedup 2 replies to FedUpWithCrapI contacted a law firm that specializes in dealing with debt collection companies. Here is what they sent me.
The company who has been calling you is probably a scammer. There is no evidence that they actually exist, they are most likely criminals who have found your information online. Unless you receive written notification there is no reason to treat them as a real company. They may threaten you to scare you into paying them, but there is nothing they can actually do. Do not give them anything they ask for. File a complaint to your state attorney general's office or go online to ftc.gov and file a complaint there. You may also file a complaint with the FBI here:
http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx.
Payday loan sites get hacked on a seemingly regular basis and scams using info hacked from these sites to collect totally fraudulent loans is common. They will even know personal info such as your last four digits of your SSN, DOB, address etc., all taken from the stolen records. They can even use that info to get even more info on you from personal info sellers like Choicepoint. Unless you know for sure you owe the money, be very careful about giving them any personal info, especially bank account information (they will clean you out,) record the calls if legal in your jurisdiction, and demand a mailing address so you can send them a "cease and desist" letter (see FDCPA Sect 809.) Since these calls almost always come from overseas, there isn't much the authorities can do to stop them. So protect yourself.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do since they are most likely not a legitimate company and not very much you can do either other than hang up on them. Keep telling them you know they are not real and that they will not get anything from you and are wasting their time. Eventually they will leave you alone when they realize they will not be able to trick you into paying them. Also, please see this ALERT from the FBI:

_______________________ - Get the sum bags!| 1 replyThey Lie about their address. They will give you 1191 Magnolia Ave, Suite D396 (or Suite D381), Corona CA. However this is not a valid address for certified or legal notices. It is a UPS store and will not sign for any certified mail. The folks at the UPS store where quite helpful, they said the mail is almost never picked up and when it is they open it on the spot looking for money or certified check then dump the rest in the trash. No records, no recording of account number who send in request for FDCPA verification.
The Good news is they had to give their real address when they applied for a business license. Below is their actual mailing address. National Filing Services, Inc. 1151 Dove St Ste 208 Newport Beach, CA 92660. That is a small Corporate Park off Hwy 73. Their president is Mark Jacobs and it appears he lives in Irvine CA. I will be done with a skiptrace on that scum bag soon and will post his address and phone numbers when I get them. Also I did some poking on the local phone exchange; they can only handle a few hundred inbound calls before their PDX (The in house phone Exchange Crashes) I suggest everyone call them near constantly to bring their system down. Call them as must as you want ask them to identify their address, their company name anything just keep them on the line. To quote George Carlin [***] the [***] [***].- Caller: A bith who refused to give me her last name
- Call type: Debt collector
- ConcernedDear Get the Scum Bags,
You’re wrong about their address. There was a Corporation by the same name with that address but they went under in 1985. If you search for National Filing Service Inc. that is the record that comes up however if you look closely you will see that corporation is suspended according to the CA Secretary of State and likely has no relationship with this company. This is intentional as the current company identifies themselves as a corporation by saying “Corporate Offices” when you call. This is common in these types of frauds as it makes it hard to identify the company when you choose to take legal action against them. In reality they are a sole proprietorship and will likely disappear as fast as they arrived so if you want to sue them now is the time
A call the Corona City Hall at (951) 736-2202 will give your their current mailing address and their current physical address. Their Business License Number is 646885 a wealth of public information about them is available via a public records search for a small $10.00 fee. It is worth noting that in addition to a number of civil cases pending in Texas and New Jersey they are under investigation for criminal misconduct in California and Texas as well as a pending investigation by the FTC and FBI on a federal level. I do not make any recommendations except that you not share information with them and you should call the local authorities if they call you. The idea of conferencing them with the Riverside County Sheriff’s office not bad.- Caller: NFS

- Jerks| 1 replyThey have a domain name There is no open web ports that I could sniff but there are active SMTP traps on the host servers so you can get mail to them via Admin@nationalfilingservices.biz if they even monitor the account. However of more interest was the contact for the domain is another Corona Company called Debt Tech Solutions. I did a look up on them and got the following:
Debt Tech Solutions
980 Montecito Drive Suite 205
Corona, California 92879
United States
951-847-5989
The technical contact is a man named Michael Huck his email is mike.huck@evarus.com
Evarus is another Corona Shadow company owned by a company called Idea Source their Address is:
1701 Rimpau Ave #103
Corona, California 92881
All but the last are new registrants that appear to be trying to hide who they are.
(951) 735-4380 is their primary phone number. Give the a call they just love to talk to people who are now able to enforce their rights. That Rimpau Ave is the address to file your complaints and laws suits against by the way. - JerksGot a call back form Mike Huck, he is a tech guy who was paid to put in their network. He said the 1701 Rimpau Ave, Address is his tech company and other than being owed money for his work on setting up their network he has no affiliation with them.
So please don't go crazy on the 4380 number he is not really the jerk we want to get. I however tell him that he should chose his clients better.
He validated their call center and the mailing address is:
980 Montecito Drive Suite 205
Corona, California 92879
United States
951-847-5989 - Did not take long| 7 repliesThere is a lot of miss information here let’s set it right. Mike Huck is a tech professional who owns a tech service in Orange CA area. He is the technical contact for all these business because they paid him to set up their network. He may or may not be involved with any of the con artist. All the contact phone numbers ring to Mike since he registered them. The important thing is the correct addresses for National Filing Service and their Parent Company Debt Tech Solutions and possibly Idea Source since all three of these locations are within a mile of each other it is likely they are related.
National Filing Service, Address 1191 Magnolia Ave, Suite D, Unit 396, Corona CA, 92879 (UPS Store)
Debt Tech Solutions, Address 980 Montecito Drive Suite 205, Corona, California 92879 (Their offices located in an office park across the interstate form the UPS Store.
Idea Source, Address 1701 Rimpau Ave #103 Corona, California 92881 (a holding company) - Thank you replies to Did not take long| 6 repliesThank you for proving that we are a legitimate company by proving that we had a tech company create our system. IT's not like a tech company is going to make a program for con artists. So once again thank you and FYI we are a real company obviously hence our business license that you also posted
- Your WelcomeYes you are a real company. A real company committing fraud. I must say it was a pleasure talking to the Sheriffs office about their investigation. I am more than happy to help them as I am sure are a lot of other people here are. Anonymity was your friend but now that you are exposed it will be only a short time before you are in jail for defrauding people. BTW did you know that committing a fraud while in performance of your job is not a viable defense in a criminal case? Hence all employees who knowing committed fraud on behalf of the company are equally guilty and will likely face charges.
Isn't life grand, all you guys might be able to spend time in the same jail cell. Well except for the owner who will most certainly claim that you guys where rouge and he had no idea that you where committing fraud while employed at his company. If I where you I would consider getting a lawyer, you my friend will need one. - Your Welcome| 6 repliesAlso just because I am such nice person I contact the Riverside County District Attorney's Office and reported that you had obtained your Corona Business licenses under fraudulent pretense in order to perorate interstate fraud. Did you know that it is a Felony in California to obtain a business licenses with the intent to commit fraud. Neither did I but it is. Also I found that it is illegal for you to impersonate an officer of the court, such as saying that you are a process server. That was good info. Further it is illegal for you to claim that there is pending litigation when in fact there is none, claim such as telling someone they will receive a summons within two hours. I think they called that the third strike. But I am sure that was metaphorically speaking.
So to everyone reading this who has been a victim of this company and their fraud please do call the riverside DA at (760) 341-7867 and report each of the crimes that they committed when calling you. The did not have to get money out of you for it to be fraud, attempting to commit fraud is more than sufficient to get these guys put away. - Satisfied| 14 repliesFor anyone new to this I will lay out the fraud being committed by National Filing Service. It’s honestly a bit ingenious and total illegal so take notes so you can avoid this in the future.
What they do is buy information from various public information sites, pay day lenders, debt counseling companies ect. Some of which they are affiliated with. From this they get basic information such as your name, SSN, past addresses, and other personal info. They then illegal run your credit file going as far back as they can. What they are looking for is old debts. Debts past their statute of limitations that are not likely to be collected on by any one, this is important so keep that in mind for later. To this point they are committing illegal acts but nothing that would get them more than a fine. They then research your job and family via the credit report. Once they have all the data they call you, your associates and family with the scare tactics to have you call them. This is in a lame attempt to get past the interstate fraud charges but since both calls originate from the same company or an affiliate of the other it legal does not work. Good for us bad for them.
When you call them they give you some basic info about your old debt and pressure you to pay them. Now all this is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act but other than the FTC and maybe someone in your state consumer protection division no one cares. This is what they are banking on. Even if you lodge a complaint about their debt collection practices it takes years for the states and the FTC to take action and by then they will be long gone. Again this is what they are expecting. However there is a twist.
Remember when I told you they collected on old uncollectable debts? Well there is a reason they do that. That reason is criminal fraud; they are trying to get you to pay them for debts they have not been engaged by the creditor to collect on. In other words they are asking you to pay them knowing they are not going to pay the person you actually owned, or at least it looked like you owned on your credit report. This is why they can give you so little info about the debt they say you own them because they are not actually collecting for a creditor they are trying to scam you into paying them.
Now your local police, DA, AG ect will not give two [***] about them violating the FDCPA. Neither will the Riverside Sheriff, DA, or the Corona PD. However they do care about the commission of interstate bank fraud. And that is what this all boils down to. They want you to give them money by draft, or by credit for a debt they are not authorized to collect on so they can pocket the money. That my friend is bank fraud and all the authorities I mentioned are very interested in that.
Now why did I tell you to remember they were collecting old debts? Because that is the kicker, since the debt is past its statute of limitations the creditor is not likely to ever come calling so you are none the wiser that you were the victim of fraud. It was almost perfect…..except one thing. They never figured someone would pick up the phone and call the original creditor. That I did only to find they had no relationship with National Filing Service. Bingo
This is why they will be going to jail. Not because they violated the FDCPA, while that would be nice it just does not work that way. No being an [***] and violating the rights of the little guy would only get them a slap on the wrist and a little fine. However trying to commit interstate bank fraud, well that just livens up the authorities! They live to bust into a corporate office and arrest people and drag them out. So if you get a call, get the name of the debt, call the authorities, call the creditor and file criminal complaints with everyone who will talk to you and a lot of people will want to talk to you. They did with me. Tomorrow I will hit up the FBI and California Attorney General’s Office and any others I can think of. At the same time the original creditor has been filing complaints of their own as I have been getting calls from them and the authorities in their state as well. The more people you talk to the faster National Con Artist will get theirs. I plan on talking to everyone! - Don| 1 replyMy brother recieved a call fom this whatever and stated that they were going to serve him a summons in my behalf. My brother lives 350 miles from me and we have little contact. They said they would be at his house and serve the summons within 3 hours. They even gave him a so called case number of which I know is fake. I used to work in law enforcement so I do recognize a legit case number. I did not call them back and summons was not served. They did not state who they were representing or even identified themselves in any manner. I do owe a debt of which I paid on for 9 months. I owed 950.00 and paid 800.00 of it but never recieved any statement. I mailed said company of which I did owe the debt and asked for a statement of which I have yet to recieve. In the state of Texas a debt collector cannot garnish your wages as for as I know based on research I have done. This company is a fraud.

- concerned citizen replies to Satisfied| 11 repliesHow much someone will do and how much time someone will spend to not pay their debt. MY debt was charged off in 2008 and it was from HSBC and I clearly remember it. Yes they add interest because they can legally but if you talk to them and are nice and honest they will knock off all the interest and settle for the principal amount which in my case was only 259 dollars. I worked for a debt collection company 5 years ago we didnt use scare tactics like they do, all we did was send letters which 80% of the time got no response. No one wants to pay for something they already have or used. If there's anybody to be pissed at it's the credit card companies for their high [***] APR's. And yeah I'm sure there are some debts that are out of stat as there was with my company but a good 80% of them are in stat. And yes they pay for those ones too, if you would read how debt is sold it is sold in big booklets with thousands of debts, and the top amount of money paid is 30 cents to the dollar but usally cheaper, so it's not like they pick which debts they want. And yeah I'm also sure that they will probably never take you to court but the fact of the matter is that they can if they wanted to. The whole fact of the matter is that it all comes down to morals, if you believe that you should pay what you borrowed or not. IF you dont thats your choice, I'm just big believer in karma and I know what its like to be a debt collector, its not like we sit there with a big smile trying to take your money, it's a hard job and the pay is [***] for 80% of the people that do it. I had to get out of that business I'm too nice of a person for it. The payday loan scam is from overseas with people with deep accents if you have googled that not people that speak pefect english as did these people. But if I were you, I would stop bashing people trying to make a living and get on with your life, if you really want to feel good about yourself morally just pay them.
Will Collins - aaa replies to concerned citizenwill collins...i wouldn't pay this low life company a dime..they have a F rating with the BBB and the BBB says they know of no license they need to collect monies..you believe in karma that's good but why would you deal with a low life company that breaks the law they don't even have a license to collect monies and that is against the law..obvious this low life company doesn't believe in karma
