It is FirstLight Federal Credit Union and its their "Falcon Fraud System", but due to the amount of requested info to verify who you are, I would suspect its a favorite for scammers to spoof and try phishing for info.

    Quote:
If a representative is unable to contact the member by phone, they will restrict/block the account until activity is verified. If you are not available to receive the fraud representatives’ call, you will receive instructions to call 1-888-918-7313 or (727) 299-2449 to verify activity. When you return the call, the fraud representative may ask you for the following:

    • Last four digits of the Social Security Number must be verified
    • The month and year of birth must be verified (can be the account's primary or secondary cardholder birth date.)
    • Zip code
    • Other cardholder's name (if applicable)
    • Mother's maiden name or password
    • Last payment amount (if credit card)
    • Previous charge on statements
    Info Source

I wouldn't give any info to someone who called, hang up and call them back instead, that way you know its not a scammer your talking to.

I called my CU to verify and they told me that the number belongs to the company who handles fraud/potential fraud issues.  Told me that I'd have to call this number back to verify purchases.

*Edit from my above submission* They also don't ask for any personal information, just the phone number associated with the account and your case number.  After that they run down the past transactions that caused your account to be flagged.  Sort of comforting to see that they ramp up protection during the Christmas shopping rush.

Got a call from this number and they mispronounced my bank's name.  I personally know everyone in my bank and the caller was a male - there are no male employees in that bank!

I am glad I called my credit union after receiving a call from this phone number and a voice message that was left. It seems my card was used in California and Nevada but I am in Florida. I am glad I did not ignore that call and called my credit union directly.

They left a message saying something about a case number and a master card.. the funny thing is the name of the person they said they’re trying to reach isn’t even me! I don’t even know anybody by the name they left on the voicemail. Definitely a scam.

It's completely legid your getting called from pscu we do fraud protection for over 200 credit unions. Is everyone happy now.

Seriously?  You expect us to believe that it is "completely legid"?  We should take the word of someone who cannot spell or write above a 3rd grade level, and also one who cannot read since you clearly replied to a post from 2011 (7 years ago) expecting them to see your reply?  Boy, if this actually was a fraud protection place, after reading your post and realizing that they have hired from the bottom of the drop out barrel, I certainly would not have any confidence that my money was secure.
So in answer to your last sentence (which was a question and should have ended with a ?), yes, we are happy that you have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that you and these calls are scams.

This is a scam, and you're part of it.  By the way, the term "legit" is constantly used by the shillers.   As you just did.    You are fooling nobody.

    I have to correct you.  He never said "legit".  He said "legid". :-}

    legid
A combination of the words 'legit' and 'lid', used to describe a sweet trim/haircut
*Mate comes out of the barbers*

    Me: Thats a serious legid!
    Him: Thanks bro.
