This number called and said we had fraudulent activity on a Citi card.  Called citi, they said we had no fraud activity.  I don't give any info even to the legit card people.  Sick of having to be so paranoid.

Today I received call from the same number and said that this is loan officer from citi bank
Within a second I understand this is a scam call.
Therefore, very carefull such type of call

Left message, fraud dept for Costco CIticard. I called the # on the back of my card which was very similar to the # left by the caller. I gave the last 4 digits of my card & was immediately transferred to fraud dept. I recently received the card and did make a large purchase that they wanted to verify along with an additional charge made today. The large purchase was initially declined then approved the 2nd time I tried my card. I appreciate their concern. Citibank issues cards for many businesses so just call the # on the back of the card the message is about to determine legitimacy of the call.

I received a call from this number today at my place of work.  The woman said that she was calling about a $2000+ purchase made on my Home Depot Card.  She had my name and when I asked her what purchase was she talking about, she asked me to hold so that she could get into her computer.  She kept asking me to hold, so after the third asking, I hung up.  This is truly a scam and how I wish they could be prosecuted for this crap!

Got a call from this number and they left a voicemail saying they were investigating fraud on my citi credit card. I called citi back and they confirmed that it was a fraud alert. This is a legitimate number.

It turned to be a valid call from fraud prevention department

Called telling me that I had fraudulent activity on my card, but they got my first name wrong. They claimed to be Citibank, but I don’t have a Citi card. I called Citi and they verified my SSN and phone number do not exist in their system. Probable conclusion: scammers are spoofing caller id to Citibank’s number.

I received a call from this number and I went online to check this number out and saw it was a early fraud warning. So I called my bank and sure enough it was my bank just making sure no one was using my account. And I was trying to add my card to my Apple Pay on my watch. This is legit

This number just called me and they ask for someone with a Japanese name about a Citibank card charges. There is a problem with this I am not Asian second I don’t own any credit cards at all . I only use debit card for a credit Union.

Claimed to be a consumer protection group calling about charges on our Office Depot account.

Claimed to be from CitiBank fraud prevention.  They aren't.

Someone from this number called me and said that someone had used my phone number to apply for a home depot credit card....The caller was from citibank who owns home depot credit services.....Wanted me to tell them my phone number and social security number......I haven't had a citibank card for, forever!  I never applied for a home depot card.....Wonder if this was a scam...How do i find out?

Just got a call they were Citibank fraud department. I called Citi back and my account was fine. How are they getting my phone number?

they asked if I applied for a citibank double cash card, which I had.  they said thank you and asked for no other information.  I think it was a legit call.

I received a voicemail from this phone number, and they claimed to be calling from Costco Visa. Coincidentally, I recently had my Costco Visa card stolen. They asked me to call back to (855) 375-7048 and mention reference #1136. Seems like a scam to me.

This was Citi bank early fraud department for citi double cashback I added my card to apple pay and they wanted to make sure if it was me or not

Message said “Best buy fraud early warning department” . Asked for someone I don’t even know. Caller ID said Florida.

after reading some of the postings here, it appears I'm not the only one to have received a FAKE Citi fraud warning voice message.
number is from 904-954-1207, FL. person states your name and advice to call back with number on back of card or call direct to 855-375-7048. provide your case number #1145. Its a scam because I get text and email messages to alert me of any fraud transactions. none of those things happened here. I just spoke to the Real Citi folks a few days ago with a fraud transaction and these number I posted are not their numbers at all. plus the case number here is not the same amount of digits used for the real Citi fraud case.
read all the messages above. its all fake. there is another Who Called Me site and some responses there claim its legit. those could be spammers posting replies.
be aware and don't rush to hit call back from your phone missed called. call the number from the back of your card. I believe when you call them from the registered phone number on file, their system knows your calling back for a fraud charge and guides you to the proper folks.
