Amazon saying someone used my account

Got a call from 910-387-0865 stating that my iphone was being sent to Dayton, Ohio.
I surely do not live in Dayton and my flipfone works great.

In my answering machine I just received the 'Alexa' phone call about possible fraudulent activity regarding a $799 i-phone being delivered to Dayton, blah blah blah..  My suspicion was immediately aroused based on the fact that the call was placed to the landline, which Amazon absolutely does not have in their records -- not to mention that I have never had Amazon call me in all the years that I've been their customer.
As others have mentioned, thank goodness that there is this website where I can look to confirm that an unsolicited call is actually a spoof instead of the real deal.  Thanks!

Same as the others: I got this call saying someone purchased a $799 iPhone, and if it wasn't me, please call that number to report the fraud. I called and they began asking questions about my computer and my account. While speaking to them I looked up the phone number and saw this website. I did not give out any information and hung up on her.

I just got exactly the same call.  since I do not have an Amazon account It was easy for me to figure out this was a scam.

Received a call saying that an iPhone was purchased for $799+ using my Amazon Prime Store card and the phone was being sent to Dayton, Ohio.  I called the # they left 910-387-0865 and the call was picked up by someone in a very noisy room saying only "hello".  I was uncomfortable and gave them no information.  I then called the customer service phone # on the back of my card and the issuing bank said they saw no charges but would transfer me directly to Amazon to verify.  Amazon rep said no charges for that amount or that item were posted or pending on my account.  Do not give anyone at that phone number any information!!  It's a scam.

I just got a call saying my Amazon order for an IPHONE fro $799  going to Baby , Ohio was not mine to call immediately 910-387-0865.I'm nor calling Them !! ~~If it shows up on my amazon bill I will contact Amazon myself directly !!

Got a scam call from a phone number telling me to call (910) 387-0865. THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!!!

Received the same call about an iPhone that was going to sent to Dayton,OH from Amazon. My flip phone works just fine & I didn't order any iPhone ... plus I don't live in OH!! BEWARE!!! There are a lot of low lives out there!!

Just got the same call regarding that number.  Said iPhone ordered on my Amazon account going to Dayton, Ohio.  Do not have Amazon account!  Did not answer phone.  It’s January, 2020 and this scam still going on!   I’m sick of these scam calls!!

Just received the same call. Just ignored it. I haven't ordered anything.

Scam about someone ordered an iPhone that's being sent to Dayton Ohio.

We should just forward the call to the FBI or Whitehouse switchboard, then maybe they'll do something about all these out of country scammers.

Go ahead and do that.  Don't be surprised when they come knocking on your door though because your phone number will be the one showing up in the caller id.  Try not to come up with really foolish ideas in the future.
