Called from Yonkers, NY. No message left, but Yonkers calls are normally telemarketers for Alzheimer's or Cancer.

Asks for my wife by name but does not leave a number or message, just that they will call back later. After several calls they just hang up when I answer.

Asked for someone by name who doesn't live here. She seemed nice enough, when I said she had a wrong number she apologized and hung up. The only thing that made me think it might be a telemarketer was that there was a brief silence when I first picked up, and apparently I said "hello" too soon since the caller didn't seem to have heard that.

The whole problem is the government is the fault by raising taxes , and not doing anything about these companies by putting a stop to harassing phone calls. The more money they take from us the less we have to live on, and these companies don't care if we have any-money to live on or not just so they get theirs. THE GOVERNMENT IS THE SAME WAY...

It says Yonkers on the caller ID.  They gave me a break for a couple of weeks but are back at it again.  I never answer these calls but it's so annoying when I'm in the middle of something.  The "Do Not Call" list is a joke.

Called my home.  Caller ID shows "MOD".  I don't answer unknowns.  They didn't leave a message.  I'm filing a complaint at the Fed DNC web site.  Barry should do the same.

Calm down everybody. The DNC list works just fine. You know the callers are likely to be scammers just because they are calling you. The government is working to enforce the law, but no one seems to want to pay any taxes to fully fund enforcement.

Obama can illegally trace all our calls and listen in without a warrant but will not stop such annoying calls. There are at least twelve of these annoying callers that have me on their list.I am trying to find a signal generator that I can set at a frequency that will do harm to their ears if they are listening. Back in radio days we were always careful not to have a generator set to any such settings when we shut down so as to avoid some unintentional harm to someone.

We always get these calls. I can't even block anymore calls on my phone, I have used the limit. I signed up on the DO NOT CALL Register and it DOES NOT WORK!!!!! I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and all they did was send me a letter telling me there was nothing they could do about it. Its all a SCAM!!!!  Thank goodness for Caller ID. We just don't answer the phone if we don't know who it is.

I have had nine calls from this number in seven days.  The phone rings only three times then turns to a message from March of Dimes saying the caller is sorry to have missed me and will call back.  I have redialed to complain but I receive a message to press one for further information about The March of Dimes.

Another call from 914-294 and they keep changing the last 4 numbers.  I won't answer but I'm getting so tired of these calls.  Today it said MOD which I assume is March of Dimes.  They never leave a message and I wish they'd get the message - I DON'T DO TELEPHONE SOLICITATIONS!!!  The people on the phone will get 90% of the money and the charity they call for gets 10%.  Leave me alone!!!

I've gotten so I don't answer any calls I don't recognize, but I'm getting really tired of how the list of unsolicited calls to my home is growing.

I do not wish to get any further calls from 914-294-2421. This has become a nuisance.

Maybe we should send the DNC info to the Justice Dept.  they seem to do a remarkable job of tracking callers.

Got this call several times, always ask for my wife, I have OOMA (VOIP) telephone system and with their Premier service you can block a number or an AREA CODE, "ZAP" will block area code 914, no more calls...OOMA is a great system, you pay for the devise and calls are free (small local tax)

From what I understand is this, if you have a credit card, they can call you legally re: lowering your interest rate, if it is a charity they are exempt from the DNC list, however, scammers are getting smarter and are able to robo call anyone with any number, from any number, if you answer they know a body is at that number and they can't be traced because of their technology. The best thing to do is to NOT answer under any circumstances, if it is important and legit they will leave a message. If they do leave a veiled message that you aren't quite sure about, do not return the call.  You should be able to tell if it is legit. We have to outsmart these people. My husband gets so frustrated with the calls that he wants to pick up and give them a piece of his mind, I told him that won't do any good. Just don't answer, that I will check out the number here and when I do 100% of the time they are nuisance calls. Just don't answer.

Called on 5/20/2013 08:45 AM from Yonkers, NY. I don't answer #'s I don't recognize. There are many calls from this Yonkers telemarketer. This time for the MOD - (March of Dimes). Sometimes Alzheimers or Cancer.

Called at 8 AM Sharp, left no message.

Do follow that, there is an option under that to have your number taken off.  It's a weird tree system, the option to remove yourself should be top level.

Whether or not this number is legitimate remains to be seen.
