MOD or march of dimes robocall

caller ID was "MOD"  they left no message.  I've also been getting "Healthy Babies" caller ID these calls just seem to morph they are probably from the same creeps.

Well, tha's crap on a stick.

It's the March of Dimes doing some fund raising.

I posted earlier and yep they called again but caller id was "Private Caller"  I was in the middle of a project and was very disturbed by the phone ringing and it being one of these annoyance calls.    I picked it up just to see what this was ll about and to give them "hll"  There was a recorded voice saying hi this is Amy Watt's and you've just won a Dodge Durango.   Click "1" to connect. It was called something like "prize claim center"   Well I got someone who asked my name-did not give then my phone number-did not give.  If you get a call from 914-294-2421  don't pick it up-it's some sort of scam.  You've got to know the MOD is a scam as well as "Healthy Babies"  these were all the same number.

calls 2 or 3 times a day - never leaves a message - the "Do Not Call" list does not work!!!

I didn't see the caller ID (upstairs) when I answered the phone, it was the 914-294-2421.  I, too, get this call several times a week, but don't usually answer.  She started her spiel for the March of Dimes.  I interrupted and said I wasn't interested, please take me off your list.  She said she would and thanked me for my time.  We'll see....  I also registered a complaint with DNC as DaveC advised.

Same area code & prefix as Healthy Babies.  (914-294-2468 & 914-294-2508).  They've called with a new number the past 3 days, which inspired me to start a notebook listing all blocked numbers and the dates.

I just put them on my block list-problem solved.

March Of Dimes, did not answer, called back and got info. The caller ID has been on phone about 4-6 times
over the past week. Can't they take the hint! That's why there is caller ID ! LOL

I just don't answer the phone for anyone, people who know me start to talk at the tone and if I am home I pick up and talk.  My message say's I do not answer the phone please leave a message at the sound of the tone,  I have been doing this for years now and just ignore the scammers and salespeople.  I don't give to anybody for any thing.

If you can record the SIT tune to play at the beginning of your message it will cut down on the robo-calls tremendously!  

Just got my first call from this number.

This is the March of Dimes, which shows up on Caller ID as MOD or HEALTHY BABIES. They use (or spoof) the 914-294 exchange, which is an actual exchange around White Plains NY, but use various last four numbers such as 2224, 2395, 2421 or 2508, which makes them difficult to block. They used to be a legitimate charity that was established to help victims of infantile paralysis. When polio vaccine eliminated their reason for being, they switched their cause to birth defects to keep their organization (and solicitors) in business.

The Do Not Call lists is apparently not working.  Anyone know why?  Have no idea who these calls are from but I get them throughout the day, every day, ad nauseum.

Why do they bog me so much by calling indiscriminately? Don't they have decency? Stop calling me whoever you are.

On the caller ID: MOD, it's the March of Dimes. Nonprofits can still call any home because the DO NOT CALL LIST doesn't apply to nonprofits.
