Someone claiming I applied for a payday loan for $1500; it's a definite scam. Yesterday the same number called offering me a free trip to the Bahamas; I refuse to answer and let GVoice pick it up. It's pretty hilarious.

SHows up as "R-Sqaured" in Caller ID. Never a human being on the end. Just a robo call. They're calling on a whole string of numbers, so every time we block one, they call with another. Nasty behavior.

read "Wire Cash Direc" so I thought  I'd play. Just another obo announcement about Google search something or other. These phucknuckles really do need to have their throats cut.

No it isn't!  It's called spoofing.  The caller uses software to key in ANY number and/or name they want to appear on YOUR caller ID.     I have had MY OWN number come up on MY caller id display!   In Canada, this software is illegal. A common tactic is to use a number with the same area code and exchange as yours, (the number may or may not be assigned), letting you believe it is a legitimate call from a number in your local area.

I was just called by the number and ended the call right when I saw that it was from NY State; I'm from Ontario.

It looks like this number is ramping up their activity again. I will be blocking it.

Left a message quoting a bunch of letter and numbers saying I could be prosecuted for not complying.  UM... YOU DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH AND THE NUMBER IS REGISTERED TO A LANDLINE IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. SCAM

Robo call telling me I may receive a free medical alert device by pressing the #1 button on my phone.

The entries I see here are from 2011, but they are at it again in 2017! They left a vm saying I have 4 serious tax allegations against me & I will "be picked up by local cops" if I don't respond in 24 hrs. Got the same call from LA yesterday!!! Grrrrr
