- Moe-QSame trouble from "Ray" at my house. Multiple calls even though we are on the do not call registry. It really burns me up that these harassing calls can't be stopped.
- Caller: Carpet cleaners
- Call type: Telemarketer
- nikimtzI've received many calls from this number also, sometimes more than once a day. I have called to DO NOT CALL AGAIN but they do not stop.. After a very busy weekend I went to bed early last night and they called after 8pm to wake me from a dead sleep. Being on the 'DO NOT CALL LIST does not seem to stop these annoying calls any longer.
What can be done??- Caller: carpet, tile, furniture cleaning experts

- SharThis "company" robo dials EVERY DAY, leaves a long message, and there is no opt-out number. The number shows up on caller ID as "private." At the end of the long message there is a number to call, but there is a recording at the other end. Despite leaving messages to place us on the do not call list, the calls persist.

- hs_2000 replies to Al in Martinez, CaI'm going through the same crap from this company. Perhaps call their number every day and don't leave a message just fill up their message box so they don't get any business (if at all) through robo calls.
- Annoyed by RayIncessant calls from this number, always with a recorded message -- you cannot interact with a live person. I called back, and asked the person who answered to remove my info from their lists and to never call again. I was polite, and I am hopeful (with a skeptical chaser).

- M from Pleasanton CAI receive robo-calls from this phone number every couple of days. I called back twice and left a messg for a live person to please call me back to I could tell them to remove my number from their call list. I pay $1.50 a month to comcast to have an unlisted number! These calls started after I used Home Advisor (formerly Service Magic) online to get bids for upholstery cleaning. Coincidence???? I'm going to email Home Advisor to see if they can identify this as one of their vendors. Maybe they can help.

- M from Pleasanton CA replies to Gotta Stop them| 1 replyHow did you track down their office address? I wish I lived closer to Roseville, I'd go to that location in person!
- Gotta Stop them replies to M from Pleasanton CAA friend of mine had visited another business in the building and heard a lot of crazy stuff coming from their office. I did a little research and found out that these are the people that keep calling me.
- DougSame as everyone else. "Ray" left a message on our machine that wants to clean my carpets, we're on the DNC List, blah blah blah.
Did everyone file a complaint with the FTC?

- Robocalls increased after my callThis is interesting: I called back and left a msg giving my phone number and asked to be removed from their call list, noting that I was on the national Do Not Call list. The next day I started receiving MORE calls from them than I had previously, so obviously someone live is getting the calls and actively deciding to harass those who ask to be removed! Wow--it doesn't get any more obvious or illegal than that. How do we collectively group together to get this telemarketing company fined, disciplined or, considering their blatant disregard for the law, shut down?
- Caller: Ray's Carpet, Tile & Furniture Cleaning Experts

- Don CroweThis man calls daily even though I have asked him to stop twice and threatened a law suit.

- ScottReceived call "Are Your Carpets Dirty" @ 6:30 AM... and now two additional calls.
One thought: Agree to have carpets cleaned, set appointment, then refuse service when technicians show up – if enough of us did this the robo-calls would end…
Too much energy for "first World" problem... still very annoying .- Caller: "Ray" @ Carpet Cleaning Company
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Stephanie PerdueThis so called cleaning experts call and harrass us DAILY!! It has been going on for YEARS!! I have spoken with a an older woman that agreed to remove our number from their list and they still call. LIARS!

- Virginia J| 1 replySame story as the rest: on Do Not Call Registry. What's the purpose of that if it doesn't work. If he calls again, I will call my landline server. I have another cleaner who repeatedly calls but it's not Ray, and the voice is much calmer. Since I never answer the phone, I always have the answering machine take it, but the message of this vendor begins without waiting for the beep and all but the last 4 words are buried under my answering message, so I don't even have a number to call back nor do I know who it is. They end with "sincere apologies" for disturbing you. Yeah, sure: then why call a couple of times a week and then nothing for 6 months or so, then messages start up again. Does anyone know who this jerk is?

- John T replies to Virginia JWould you believe a robo call from them at 5PM on Christmas Day??????
Last straw! - Robert MillerI too received several call from Ray's Carpet Cleaning on Christmas Day. I too am fed up with them. I tried calling and scheduling an appointment. Now here's the scam, I called them back to make an appointment and can't. It's a scam. So why are they doing and who's really making the calls? It's looks like it's a company out of Foster City called Quinn Street.
Quinn Street is robo calling you to see when you are at home and answer the phone. The carpet cleaning is just the pretext. Quinn Street then sells your phone number and times you are at home to other telemarketers. Illegal, yes and Quinn Street has paid fines in the millions. The fines are just the cost of doing business and are nothing compared to hundreds of millions Doug Valenti is making as the president selling people’s phone numbers and information. While their businesses practices may not be completely legal they are a publicly traded company. Don’t think for a minute you can get them to stop calling you. Your information is what makes them money.- Caller: Ray's Carpet Cleaning

- DoNotCallistObviously, the Do Not Call List is somewhat ludicrous because it does not stop everyone from calling. Complaints to the DNC are useless. You cannot stop Robo calls. You must learn to ignore these pesky calls and erase the subsequent messages. Here's how the Robo call works: An offshore entity enlists bonafide phone service and uses remote forwarding to make it look as if the entity has a legit local presence. Then an automatic dialer is installed and it dials every number in the 916 area code (or wherever!) and goes down the list, for example: 916-111-1111, 916-111-1112, 916-111-1113, etc. The dialer is programmed to recognize a human voice, a busy signal, a disconnected line, an answering device, voice mail, or whatever, and then the dialer is programmed to decide what to do with the result of every call it places. It costs very little to set this up and the eventual proceeds are enormous because there are plenty enough unsuspecting and trustful fools out there who will invite this bogus outfit into their homes. All they need is to place 1000 calls and they will get at least 10 deals out of it. Trying to call them back is a waste of time. Ignore these calls.
