I received two calls in the span of about an hour from these jerks, and have gotten more calls from them than I can count. I don't understand why the FTC doesn't shut this idiot down, but it's another example of a business's right to make money being more important than our right to privacy.

I have filed over 20 complaints on the DNC website. Let's keep doing it and maybe finally the gov will track this scum guy down and do something about him. I even tried leaving a message and demanding that he remove my number from his robocalls.

Re-registered myself on Federal Trade Commission DO NOT CALL website today.  Thank you Ray of carpet cleaning company in Sacramento area for repeatedly calling me and ensuring that I re-registered!  

BTW when I did phone company to request to be removed I got an answering machine....it stayed on while I spoke ....until I got the to the part requesting to be taken off your list, then I was abruptly disconnected.

Ray, the carpet cleaner man, calls twice per day to each of my two numbers.  I have requested to be removed, but it has not worked.
This is harassment to say the least.

I have two phones at home and receive calls from Ray daily.  THis guy needs to be shut down now!

Keep getting calls on my business and personal lines.  Called and left message to be removed.  I probably get 10 messages a week from this number - 916.234.9398

Tired of these calls.  Have registered under DO NOT CALL and still receive multiple calls.

Anyone have a street for this sob?

"Ray Brown" of "Ray's Carpet Cleaning" is listed in the Sacramento area Better Business Bureau site as having no complaints filed. The listing matches the 916-234-9398 number. Here is the link to the page:

FWIW, the address given of 1721 Florin Rd, Sacramento, CA 95822-4236 is a home, not a business. Likely a "contractor" of the Las Vegas scammer, but it's worth putting pressure on everyone involved.

This Ray's Carpet Cleaning, 916-234-9398 continue to call me. I have spoken to then four different times to get my name off the list. They have said it would be removed in 2-3 weeks. It hasn't been removed. Is there something you can do to get these people to stop calling me?

Same as everyone else, recorded message at both ends. 1st the call offering services & asking us to call if interested.  Then call & get vmail. I left a message asking to be removed, let's see what happens..., not holding my breath.

This recording continues to call my home phone and leave a number even though I'm on the Do Not Call List

I am also getting these calls.  I submitted complaints to both the California and Nevada BBB. The businesses, however, are "not accredited", so I doubt that will help much.

If you're really irritated, and have the time, you can sue the robocaller for $500 PER CALL.  If you innundate them in small claims court of class actions, that may stop them.  According to the 1991 Telephone Consumer Protection Act, contacting you using robocalls without your permission is completely illegal.  Here's the reference to read more:

This company is hiding behind "unavailabe, out of area" on my caller ID. I receive random calls promoting their carpet cleaning service. I wish it to stop. I cannot block their number without a number to block, very irritating. May they be punished, sued and penalized to the fullest extent.

I have reported this company to the BBB (Better Business Bureau). It showed that there were 9 other complaints against them and it has a D- rating.

And, just like you, this aggressive carpet cleaning company has contacted me several times; different times different telephone #s.

Set up an appointment at a dummy address for these bozos. After a while the sucker contractors that do business with the fraud will stop accepting referrals that are dead end.

My phone's Caller ID says "Out of Area" and the only number that shows on screen is "1."
I called it back and the  number is what the answering machine identifies it as. I got the "carpet cleaning" line too. I find it VERY strange that the "company" never idntifies itself by name.

I like the make an appointment idea.  Also just call Ray's number and flood is message machine with calls telling them to take your number of the call list.
