The DO NOT CALL LIST IS A JOKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Received a call on 9/5/2020 at 3:28 pm MST. No name came up on my cellphone’s caller ID & no voicemail message was left either. I don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. Blocking this # on my phone.

Just called.  ID was Nielson (assumed it was a television survey).  Didn't bother to answer.  A voice message was left, but the sound quality was so bad that I didn't understand a word they were saying.

No, it's true. That's how they got MY NUMBER, unfortunately. I did a survey in the mail they sent me that had $1 and a promise of $5 more after taking the survey. I took it and the $5 was sent to me soon afterwards, which surprised me because I've never gotten cash in the mail before for NOTHING, but apparently I accidentally put my phone number down on the survey, which I don't remember doing, but NOW I know I'm an idiot because I must've since they'd NEVER called me BEFORE I took the survey! Not worth the $6 for all the damn unwanted phone calls you'll receive from them afterwards. Although, I've never TRIED just answering the call to see what they want or if they have a few more questions and will leave me ALONE for good once I answer the questions. I really don't know, but regardless it's nonsense that I feel like I may HAVE to do THAT for ANY CHANCE of these annoying calls to come to an END! They never leave any voicemails either and I've picked up and hung up on them and they called back once more right afterwards. I don't think that's ever happened when I did that to any other number who called. Other companies will normally call back the NEXT day, but never 2 seconds after I picked up and hung up on them. STRANGE!

1/13/2021@8:01 PM  I had a bad day.  I thought the call was a return from my insurance company.  I could not hang up fast enough.  HAS ANYONE in the government ever even thought of how much $$$$$ mega bucks these harassing idiots could create as revenue if they were fined.  Hello invasion of privacy, neglect of obying DO NOT CALL WARNINGS.  I think if we all could personally fine then in addition to that We would all be able to rest in peach and not have to deal with this crap.

I never got any $$$$ never took the survey never never never.  I think you can than google for selling your information also the false advertising of supposed insurance companies that will give you free what evers if you call and ask about a product.  consider yourself luck at least your $7 ahead of the game.

Since Telephone Surveys are completely legal (something that you should already know) then no one in the government is going to go after them.  You should learn to read when you sign up for something.

This number calls me quite frequently but I never answer unknown numbers--I leave that to my voicemail. My voicemail is complaining to me that these people call but they don't talk to it. If anyone has any kind of contact with these people please ask them to talk to my voicemail as I am afraid it might feel neglected and leave home. Otherwise, I really, really wish they would stop bugging me. You'd think they'd get the hint after I fail/refuse to answer every call they make to me that I do NOT want to talk to them!

They will never stop calling. Just ignore them. Don't answer the phone.

I got the same $1 then $5 in the mail. It's for becoming a Neilson ratings household.

Got a call from this number about 5:30 pm yesterday.  I got a message that sounded like a live person saying they are doing a survey on tv, radio, etc.  He left a callback number but the last 2 numbers were hard to make out.

They called AGAIN at 8:35 pm which is too late for me.  No message this time.  I noticed in both instances, there was a pause of at least 5 seconds before the message or hang up.

I know Nielsen is a legitimate company but I can’t be sure it’s them calling.  They should know better than to call people these days, though I wonder how they collect data since calling isn’t a great idea due to scammers.

I did fill out a paper survey years ago but didn’t give my number out.  I’d like to give my opinion on tv and stuff since nobody ever asks.  But there’s too many scams out there.  If they call again I won’t answer.

Survey companies can call you since they aren’t selling anything.  Same with charities. So sadly Do Not Call list doesn’t apply.

Claim to be doing a survey. In this day and age of daily scam calls around the clock from anywhere and everywhere in the world, they have got to be kidding if they think people are going to answer their phones to any number they don't know well. I didn't sign up to be a participant so they are encroaching on my time and tying up my necessary phone line and I told them do not call me again and I hung up and blocked their number.
