Just got a call, doesn't show up on Anywho.com  Returned it and got the "disconnected" message.

I had the same call listed above  - If I'd like to lower my interest, press 1 or press 2 to be removed.  I've pressed 2 on all the other calls (maybe 3 others in the last 6 weeks).  This time I pressed 1 and said I wanted off the list and asked for the company name.  The guy said it was "Account Services" and I said, "That is your company name  - Account Services?" and he said,"Yes!"  I told him I was on the do not call registry and wanted off the call list and he hung up on me.  I have just hung up with the FTC Complaint Department and have given them all this info.  I hope you all will do the same.

I posted earlier about receiving calls from this number.  I have also received similar calls from the following numbers, so beware of these as well:

Same message as the others.. Hung up after hearing "there is nothing wrong with your account".

Just received call from this number - saying warranty on my vehicle was getting ready to expire.  I made selection to talk to someone; person who answered immediately asked for the make and model I was calling about.  I Said I had no idea - they they had called me.  He hung up.  I called the number back and got a message saying the international number I had dailed was not in service in the country from which I was calling.

I keep getting calls from this number for credit card service. I tried to call it back and it says it is disconnected.

Asshats called me at 1306EST on 7MAR. No caller ID, just the number. ready to hammer them next time though.

Is there way to block 954-733-7981 from making calls.  It is a nuisance.

rec'd call 11:10 a.m. - Telemarketer referring to lowering credit card interest rates - just hung up then recognized number as one that had been calling a few times recently - logged on to this site, decided after reading the comments we all should report the number to the DO NOT CALL complaint dept.  That's what I did and what I suggest you do.  The number comes from Bellsouth Telecom, Dba Southern Bell Tel & Tel, phone # 954-721-9132, but they won't answer...imagine that.  REPORT THEM REPORT THEM REPORT THEM !!! and all others who violate your privacy this way.  If enough people report them they can be fined.

Just received a call from this # on my cell.  Did not show a name so I did not answer.  I am on the Do Not Call list, also!!

I actually did want to lower my interest payments, but when I asked what kind of card it was, she hung up on me.  Her name was Michelle.  I am on the "do not call" list.  That's pretty much useless, since we get telemarketing calls all the live long day

I am in IL. I just rcvd a call from 954-733-7981.  No one answered me when I picked up the phone.  These callers are a pain in the wazu.
I am on the do not call list which isn't worth the trouble of your making the call to them.

I got call from 954-733-7981 at 12:42AM with some automated message saying some vehicle warranty expired. I pressed '1' to talk to customer representative. All he asked was 'what is the model or something"..I asked "what is expired?"...he hungup.
I HATE IT..grrr

If you go to the FCC website you can file a complaint against these creeps.  That's what I did.  I don't think it will help, but what else can we do?

In order to get these companies in trouble, you have to play along for a bit.  when the agent answers the phone, you have to sound and act a little bit interested, but you want to get them to give you a name, a company name, an address, and a phone number to call back.  Once you've gotten all of this, you can then let them know you'll be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office of the US and of your state and that the person just cost her company a $10,000 fine.

If you want to follow through, it's very easy to file a complaint on either Attorney General's website with that basic information that you just collected.

I just got a call from this number and it was regarding "my expired auto warranty". I pressed 1 to talk to an agent so that I could get their name and number, but they hung up on me before I could get it.

Per rules of DNC list companies may contact you for up to 3 months after the time you put your name on the list. Stop filing complaints here and actually DO something that stops the calls! File a complaint with the FCC then warn the companies that for each violation of the DNC list you are entitled to $500 - this is the law! Companies that violate the DNC are by law subject to fines of $500 paid to the consumer. Simply go to FCC.gov on the left are several headlines, scroll down to file a complaint. When enough people start taking legal action these people will be shut down!

I just barley missed a call from 954-733-7981.  I wa curious who it was so I called it back and it said the number had been disconnected.  I am also on the do not call list, and they called my cell phone while I was at work.

I just this call as I sat at my desk at work 1:45pm est(forgot to turn off my ringer) I'm amazed to see all of you here for the same damn number...

What do I have to do to get them to stop calling, and waisting my minutes????

I was also at work when I recieved this call.  Make a complaint with the FCC.  Mine was a cell phone too.  I am tired of them wasting my minutes and time.
