- fast eddieI got the same call from 972-200-9825.The automated call said to call 888-673-4109 about my resume. When I called it,guess what, another automated response.Does careerbuilder know anything about this?Makes you wonder about putting your resume out there!
- Gabe replies to arkansasYes,
You are correct. They are a scam. I'm in sales and this is a lousy sales attempt.
They are based somewhere outside of Dallas, Texas. - DrewskiThe Sad fact is, this is an Insurance company who wants to get you on the hppk ofr selling their life insurance and the "financial investments"crap. Its strict commission, and you dont want to bother- this is becasue Monster- Like all corporate scum is selling your Informaiton to the highest bids. I am an It professional, No Sales experience in that racket. Between the insurance Co. and the Call centers in India calling me for crap jobs @ 10 bucks an Hour (No one reads the Salery field)-I am ready to pull all my stuff off that site and cancel the premium services I paid for there. I am sick of this stuff.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- CPC, LLCI received the same robo call a few minutes ago. Since the message did not identify which company they are/were, I did not "press one". Shortly thereafter, the line was disconnected. I too have a resume posted on both Careerbuilder & Monster so there is where they are getting our phone numbers. I also received an email earlier with the same premise. Just like with a sales call; if they don't identify themselves - I don't talk to them.

- edgyreceived call from this # on my cell. No one but family has this #. Did not answer, when trying to see who called I got this site. Tried "peekyou.com" but for some reason my computer won't allow me to get that site. Will try tomorrow at work to find # on peekyou

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx - SunnysI got the same call only moments ago. It rather freaked me out because I have not now or ever posted a resume anywhere. It called on my cell phone and I try to be very careful not to post my number anywhere.
- IDENTIFIED: LIBERTY MUTUAL INSURANCEI received the same call from 972-200-9825. I found out who they were by going through the automated system, connecting with a local representative (I live in Utah) and demanding the corporate number. The company is Liberty Mutual Insurance and their customer service number is 800-225-8285. Call and tell them to take you off their list!
I inquired the customer service agent as to why they don't have an option to be taken off the list when the automated number called my phone and why they didn't identify who they were on the call and the customer service rep said; "That currently isn't an option. I will submit your suggestion to the appropriate department." I told her I thought that practice was a bit shady as people would have to go through the same lengthy process to identify their company and remove their number as I did.
By the way, I believe they are getting their numbers from CareerBuilder.com or Monster.com as I have my resume with my contact numbers posted there. They called my cell phone then 2 minutes later called my home phone and the only place both are listed is on those websites. I noticed a couple of other people said they received the same call after uploading their resume. Just a heads up.- Caller: LIBERTY MUTUAL INSURANCE

- BeckyJust got the call from this # about a resume. I have a job but my husband is looking for one. Any idea who these people are? They didn't say what company it was.
- RRSame as everyone else. How annoying. However, they did call my cell which makes me even more hateful.
- Need WorkI don't usually answer calls where I don't recognize the number so I didn't answer this one. I immediately entered the number in a reverse number sight and learned it was a call from Texas. Then I Googled the number and found two posts. One stated it was an insurance company. I don't like the way they do business. They must new and trying find people. This is not the way to do it. They left me a message I have yet to listen to it. I doubt I'll call back.
It's ridiculous that people can just waste your time like that and give no regard to how they conduct business.- Caller: Unknown
- TravisI got a call from this number at 7:15 on February 23 I did not hear what it had said about the resume so I called it back and put it my zip code and it found a building in the area I am looking for a job so I thought it was the copmany I applied for so I left my name and number without thinking about it. Then after reading these posts I now realize that it is a scam and I feel really stupid about leaving my info. It is a scam because it never said who had my resume and what the job was for.

- karowSame deal here. 6:30 tonight I got the call from this number. Being out of work and behind on bills I let VM pick it up. At first I thought it might be a legit job offer as I am on a nationwide hunt. After reading this I am pretty sure it is simply another scam of some sort that plays on the misfortune unfolding in this country now.
- LouiseGot a call at 7:30 PM on 2/23/2010 from this number. Didn't answer. Caller ID said Seagoville, TX. They left the following message:
"Your resume has been received by our company and we believe you have the skills and abilities to be successful. We are hiring and would like to discuss the possibility of scheduling and interview with you this week to schedule an interview. Call us at 1-888-673-4109. Have a great day ".
They did not identify their company. I am looking for work too, not scams. How successful can these people be if they resort to this type of deceit?- Caller: Unknown
- TdTSame thing here on 03/01 around 6:00pm. I let it go to voicemail then found this thread before calling back. Any chance they're getting the contact information from unemployment records? My resume online is allegedly private.
- Horlah replies to Flovery funny, also got e-mails from them, my degree is in Biological science and chemistry, maybe they want DNA tests on there paperworks like you said.
- DarrylGot a call from 972-200-9825, they left a msg and it goes as follows: "your resume has been received by our company and we believe you have the skill and ability to be successful. We’re hiring, and would like to discuss the possibility of scheduling an interview with you this week. Call us at 1-888-673-4109. Have a great day. “ - When I called the number is asks to enter a zip code. Then it said they are routing me to Colorado Springs. Then it said to leave a message and it also gave an address at (5050 Edison Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. NO Zip code or SUITE Number were provided) I drove to the location, just down the street from me, and asked several businesses if they knew of anyone hiring or making these types of calls. Everyone I asked said they had no idea. There are several businesses at this building and each one has a suite number. Conclusion: This is some kind of scam. The area code 972 is in Seagoville, TX.
