- Dallas Attorney| 1 replyStillwell & Stone has a bigger problem. They collect money for their clients and don't pay the clients. They don't maintain any records showing what money has been collected. When confronted about not paying their own client they say "prove it". When given the date of the wire transfer, the amount of the payment, and the account number it was paid into they still show no ability to determine if this was paid to them.

- Maggie replies to W.T.| 4 repliesI just don't understand this company. Stillwell and Stone did collect for my company over $100,00, and then every month it was an excuse why they weren't sending a check. At first it sounded okay...waiting for funds to clear, etc... now its July and they are refusing to call back messages, to talk to us, etc.. How can they conciously do this to a client that trusted them with that kind of money? Why treat people this way? Now my company is out more money to hire a lawyer. They made over $33,000. Maybe they just got too greedy.
- Johanna replies to Bill Stone| 3 repliesI don't think you will have much business from anyone very soon. Your rude sales calls are just about to stop. You have met your match "Mr. Stone"; "Bill"; "Wild Bill" or whoever you are. All these phone numbers you have....972-215-0582; 972-215-0583; 972-215-0584; 972-215-0585; 972-215-0586; and on and on and on. ( For those of you reading this, their main number is 972-886-8713 and their fax number is 972-578-2851.) I wonder how long it will take before Grande Communications Networks Inc,. your phone service provider, which by the way if anyone is interested their number is 877-238-6891 and their fax number is 940-270-9600, gets tired of all the complaints that are being made for your abusive and rude behavior over the telephone. There are laws that prevent such behavior. I cannot imagine anyone using your services. If they chose too and were treated the way that I was (and I don't even owe you money, I'm a business you are calling ) , they could be sued right along with you for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. By the way, there is a post from someone at your company (you more than likely) saying the FDCPA applies only to consumer debts not commercial debts. Someone needs to go back to school. Just one last thought before I leave the office with your file and my complaint forms for the AG's office (Arkansas and Texas); the Federal Trade Commission; and ACA International. What goes around comes around and you may want to watch for that proverbial train because it's coming. I'll send you a copy of my complaints after they are filed.
- Johanna replies to W.T.Yet another reply from "Bill" I'm sure. WTF????? Use your name and maybe that will lend some credibility to your statement.
- Johanna replies to concernedBehind every business is a consumer. Most debts that are made are guaranteed by a person. The FDCPA does apply. A corporation is different but I doubt they have any corporations that are doing business with them. Most corporations require a higher degree of integrity for the collection of their receivables. I also doubt they are bonded; insured; and/or registered in most states. If you check in your state you may find they cannot collect unless they are licensed in the state. They would therefore be in violation of the law of that state and have to immediately have to cease and desist any collection efforts.
- Douglas| 1 replyI just received a call from Stillwell and Stone, they asked for the business owner by name and as soon as I asked what it was in reference to he hung up on me. I am currently seeking options to report them for their unprofessional, abusive behavior. They should be ashamed and shut down.

Stillwell and Stone has betrayed the trust between our companies and you refuse to answer my calls and also refuse to pay the monies that are owed. My company trusted you, did everything you asked, and after you did a great job of collecting... Suddenly, my company was a forgotten name and Stillwell and Stone kept all the cash. You know the laws too well..and I don't. So.. this is what the world has come to. Can't trust anyone. so the question really is... would Jesus be proud of your doings?
- Maggie P & W Sales replies to JohannaI forgot to mention.. If you really record all your phone calls, then it will match all of my recorded phone calls. Life is good that way. Gotta love some of those Texas laws
- Maggie P & W Sales replies to unknownSo if this is correct? Then why are you posting as unknown???
- Candy| 1 replyOur company won't take their calls anymore. I've gotten calls from them from people using the same name when it's obvious they're of different ethnic backgrounds. As soon as I say my boss isn't in, they say I just spoke with him on his cell phone. Then, um, why are you calling him back on the office phone? I hang up on them and will continue to do so......they're disrupting our company business and we've asked them repeatedly to stop calling us but they won't.....the next step is a lawyer.

- Candy replies to W.T.Funny how you don't know much about the guy but "suggested" he may have had issues awhile back, etc. Why would you even suggest that without having the facts? You"heard" he's like 6'9" - LMAO...heard? From who? By the way, you need to go back to spelling 101, several glaring errors. Hard to find you real credible, sorry.

You people sound like a bunch of babies.
You go to this website and type all of this in here but fail to confront the problem and pay your bills.
I had a problem in the beginning because my sales rep was fired however my new rep got me paid and has collected 9 out of the last 10 accounts. They are very aggressive with my customers but what kind of customer doesn't pay anyway.
I think you guys should call 972-886-8713 press zero and ask for the sales manager and he will get you to a rep.- Caller: Paparello Publishing

- km| 1 replyWe "used" Stillwell and Stone thinking they were a collection agency. Well, they did collect on a couple debts BUT! we are still waiting on our settlement from them - so far it has been 4 months of daily calls, faxes ect. Looks like a pretty good set-up for them. Collect but never pay out?! hmmm

job or how about do the right thing and pay your clients. - W.T.They had a Facebook page in the attempt to clean up their dirty image and gain more pigeons, but it backfired. Several clients who they had collected large sums of money for, had never gotten their money and were asking them to pay the money they had collected on their behalf in their public posts. So, they shut down their Facebook page.
Hey Karl A. Stanley, where's marketing director April? Did she quit after she realized what a bunch of con-men you were? Did you fire her after she thought social networking sites would be good publicity for you and then it backfired on you as several of your clients used the Facebook posts to try and collect money from you that you owed them. Several of your clients were complaining how you won't answer the phone when they're trying to get you to pay them money you had long since collected.
Now who's the dead beat?
Actual posts from Stillwell & Stone Facebook page that has been shut down: Why did you shut it down Karl? Don't you want to network to get more pigeons to buy into your scams? April Cantrell - "I am looking to meet anyone that has people who owe them money; those with customers that say, “Hey, the checks in the mail… I promise” or “ “I’ll pay you when I get paid.” I’m about getting your money. Fast. I don’t write sweet love letters and make phone calls. That just doesn’t work. With my group of lawyers and private investigators… we track down and get results. How would you feel if I could get your money collected in the next 72 hours? How would that make you feel? Send me that nightmare customer and rest easy tonight …It’s about real results."

April Cantrell - "Are you tired of reaching voicemail everytime you call your customer that owes you money? Are you tired of the excuses and long detailed emails asking for more time? ...then it's time you call us, and remember--we don't get paid until you do!"

J**** C******"Please pay my client Wilson Machine & Welding the monies you owe them. You collected $19,040 from JIT Industries in January and didn't remit to the client Wilson Machine. Is this the way you run your business?"
There were two posts after this one from a client who was trying to get a very large sum of money from Stillwell that they had collected and he had never recieved. I'm talking over $50,000.00. They shut down their Facebook page before I could copy it.
