If you have a class action suit against Stillwell & Stone, please post the name of the lawyer who is handling the case.  I want to get in on it.  Stillwell & Stone collected money for my company also and never sent us any of it.  I am in currently exploring my options to find the best way to proceed.

Your post seems suspect because there's no trace of your company online anywhere. A publishing company without a website, no listings in online phone books? Seems like a Stillwell plant to me.

This guy is a real jerk............ William Burk....... calls started last week looking to collect a debt from 2002 that is not due........... called a bunch of my family starting at 6 am looking for me....... got my 80 year old parents all rattled at 6:15 in the morning....

i  chat with one of his worker well he is no longer working for them beacuse they collect the monies and do not pay customers he recommended  to go with a lawyer if some one in texas can refferal a good lawyer i will thank any one with a good info am in los angeles they did collect the amount but they change every number they have

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH STILLWELL AND STONE LLC. They are greedy, rude and selfish people and they are getting what's coming to them. The partners have split and Stillwell & Stone LLC is in major debt. They owe more than $1 million to their clients and have no plans to pay them anytime soon. They'd rather spend the money they get on giving their rude, sales team incentives and bonuses as well as taking vacations, going on shopping sprees and on cosmetic surgeries. I worked for them for almost a year and can't tell you how many complaints I got, how much stress I was put in and how much I saw. They won't pay you unless they owe you under $1000. They won't call you back no matter how many times you call, if they owe you money. They also use the ploy that they will pay you the money that they legally owe you if you give them more debts to collect. Their sales team is trained to keep you on the phone and to be rude and authoritative. The owners drive Mercedes, are rarely in the office and are being sued by multiple clients. If you get calls from them, ignore them, report them, do whatever you can to get them out of business. They fired me and are refusing to pay unemployment because they are greedy. For peace of mind, they are going down fast so soon these calls will stop but until then, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

On the other hand, if you get calls regarding debts you owe, don't let them scare you into paying the debts in full or right away. Their collections team is trained to be rude and to lie to you about legal things. They can't touch anything you have or own nor can they take you to court because they aren't even licensed in half the states they call. So don't be scared and don't get scared into paying all your debt especially if you can't. They don't care if you're loved ones are dying in the hospital or if you are dying of cancer yourself. They are greedy and train their collections team to be so as well. They also pretend to be lawyers about to take you to court or get the police to arrest you. It's a ploy and a trick. Don't fall for it. It was a small office so I heard EVERYTHING and I can tell you that they are fakes and have no legal right to do anything to you or your family.

I will never work for them again and believe me, they've already tried calling me to offer me my job back. I ignore their calls and so should you. They are desperate, greedy and ruthless. Don't work for them, don't do business with them and don't let them scare you into doing things you financially cannot do.

They are a walking contradiction.

We had gone to stillwell and stone to collect debts from consumers who would refuse to pay, They have collected the money for us but refuse to pay us, and demands more jobs from us! We are very upset with this. We believe "You do your part and if we like the service we have the option to contiue." Not hold our money against us for more jobs! I have called over and over for an hour straight and not one person can answer their phone! What kind of buisness is this?! I believe it is rude. We trusted you to help and instead you had took andvantage of us! Im so disapointed that you can wake up and walk around like your not ripping off good ,trustworthy, hard working people! Are you suing Stillwell and Stone? If so My boss wants info on this because they have collected for us and refuse to pay and we do not want this to go unnoticed! we all can't sit here and take it.

There are things that can be done. The most important thing is to stop any payments from going to them. Your debtors are paying right now, so lets get the money going where it belongs and not in the hands of the crooks!

I was sent collections by this company from a long time vendor. The vendor and I know each other well and speak often. The vendor called me a month ago and asked me to stop payment on my payments, that my firm has been paying since February 2010 to Sillwell and Stone. I immediately called my bank and placed a stop payment authorization on my account. Yesterday, Diane from Stillwell and Stone called me to say she was "issuing a warrant for my arrest for check fraud" I immediately, told her she was dreaming. There was no check fraud and a warrant for me for de-authorizing an electronic check from my own account was ludicrous. Any judge in America would throw it out. I also called the vendor (my friend) who told me that his company was suing them due to non-payment. I wish I would have found this site months ago, we have been paying them since February 2010.

Please help me I need to know how to get my money they already collected.

Jackie, just don't trust another collection agency that is not license and bonded. The Commercial Law League is a great place to find sound reputable collection agencies. Don't pay up front cost to anyone who wants to help you... DON'T!!!! Don't trust these smaller fly by night "boiler rooms" that have their best interest in mind... not yours. Do your homework, but I would suggest using an attorney to get your money back from a collection agency that collected on your behalf and didn't pay you your portion. Good luck

Stillwell & Stone is licensed and bonded.  File on their bond.  Do not place it for collections, sue them, or call the FBI, or police like others have told people to do on this site.  You go to your states Attorney general website look for the license and then it will have the bond information.  Worst case they have a 10k bond in Texas.  Everyone on this site telling people to do all of these ridiculous things are their competitors.  FILE ON THEIR BOND!!!

Then why do you not pay the people that hire you to collect?
