They tried lying to us, too.  They collected the money, but kept the $1800 they owed us, and made up all sorts of lies.  I sent the boss over to their office/boiler room.  The person at the door tried to keep my boss from entering the boiler room, but he went in anyhow.  In a loud voice he says "Okay, which one of you [***] is Jim?"  Some huge dude walks over to my boss and tries to give him a business card, then tried to usher him out.  After a few tough guy words exchanged back and forth, my boss says (again, very loudly and very seriously) "I hope this isn't what sends me back to prison!"  (it's a line from a movie, my boss has never been in prison.) Some guy in the distance gasped.  The place went silent.  Big tough guy tells someone to cut my boss a check.  My boss took it immediately to a bank and turned it into a cashier's check so the crooks could not stop payment on it.  My boss came back to work smiling and we laughed for days over it.  We still tell that story sometimes and it gets a huge laugh every time.  Stillwell and Stone were liars and crooks, every single one of them.  Never use a collection agency.  Just get a lawyer, instead.   Fortunately they were located in the same town as us, and I bet we are one of the only companies who actually got our money out of the losers.   LOL  What a pack of liars, but thanks for the laugh "Big Bad Jim."

If I was using others people's money to pay my rent, car payment, etc, I would have perfect credit too. Don't use the excuse that you used clients' money to pay your employees anything because the moment a big check came in, I was sent to cash/deposit it so you guys could pay rent bills (I remember writing a check or two for Craig Ranch) and other things. That company was an ATM to you and Jeff, so don't play the pity game.

Yes, Mike Evans, if that is his real name, went to work at CMB.  Other phone numers are 972-646-6842 and 972-268-6200.  They took customer contact info with them when they left Stillwell and Stone.  BTW, both Stillwell and Stone are ficticious names.

The complaints are adding up on the complaint boards against CMB.  Once a thief and a liar, always a thief and a liar.

NEVER trust a collection agency.  Do not pay them and do not think they will collect money for you (or give it to you once they do collect it), either.  Go straight to the courts, and avoid the bottom feeders.  Stillwell & Stone, and now CMB at the lowest of the bottom feeders.

And if you want to find Karl Stanley, he is now a managing member of Karlson & Matthews, LLC, 214-296-4000.  He doesn't seem to have changed much other than the name, however; the complaints are piling up from clients not being paid by them also.  He is on linked in as John Karlson (nifty little shift on his name), as is his partner, Matthew Buchanan, but as Steven Matthews (another little name shift).  I think they are still in business, but the last 2 BBB complaints against them (within the last week) are marked as unable to contact.

Drew Karl Stanley and Jeff Buono are at it again, their new company is Thorton, Frost & Associates 15150 Preston Rd Dallas TX 75248.  Phone numbers 972-863-2899, and 972-465-9265, 214-607-5266.  These two criminals have opened up agency after agency stealing money, contact a detective or FBI agent as soon as you get a call from these crooks!  They need to be put behind bars!

Unfortunately you have nothing better to do except follow me around and ask questions.  Then call my employers.  I am just a man that had enough experience as a salesman and as a sales manager to open a collection agency.  Jumped out there and risked it all.  We did well for the first year and grew faster than most businesses.  Then I left the business to fly solo.  When my ex-business partner had the company on his own he fired all of my people. Settled the accounts and folded the business with in a few months. Owing everyone money.  Because I had started another business people came after that business.  Posting scathing remarks on here on businesses that none of them had done business with.  I rode that hurricane as long as I could. However, I couldn't get it to grow.  I opened a new one in a different part of town hoping that I could get some traction and ran in to the same issues.  I decided that it was not for me.  I just need to do something different and work for somebody.  Every place I went to work you guys post it on the internet. You guys are obsessed. I filed bankruptcy and they kept dragging it on and on and on.  I withdrew my petition to file.  I had to focus on paying my bills and taking care of my family.  All of my ex-employees started collection agencies asking me questions.  I started a consulting company Buono Business Consulting to help them out.  Recommending my vendors etc.  Always stressing to them to pay the clients.  Grow slowly.  Make sure you have a partner you can trust 100%.  Then I went to work full time for one of my clients they blew up quickly telling me the had all of this money to pay for it.  They want the best. etc etc .  Long story short they fired me because of these online post. I missed work a couple of days to handle some family issues.  I went back to consulting and bills were coming fast that I could not pay.  My ex-business partner from long ago calls out of the blue.  We make up and started Thornton, Frost & Associates after my Grand parents names.  Stressed to him we have to pay these people. take it slow.  I don't want my name on anything I trust you to pay me what our share will be.  Well we started slow but people wanted to work for us again.  I tell them I cant talk to you unless you don't work for a competitor.  Bunch showed we started rolling and then BOOM!!  BAM!! POW!!  Same s*** different day.  Partner is no where to be found.  He is the only signer.  Got to let people go. I had one more guy hanging in there with me.  Partner comes back collects money we go to pay bills and he disappears again.  Thanksgiving, I am talking with family about business and get an account.  I was planning on collecting it myself then Bam partner shows back up. HE collects it in two check over two weeks.  We cut my uncle his two checks less our fee.  The first one clears.  I get more business. Other guy gets business. Then my partner collects the money. I write checks for rent and payroll. BOING the checks bounce. Partner (the only signer on the account) is no where to be found.  Account is empty. I am broke. Just bounced my rent money.  I had to borrow from family that doesn't have the money to pay the bills.  I get a job that started at the end of December selling phones to businesses.  Then low and behold one of you guys email the entire company that I am a crook and so are they for having me work there.  They immediately terminate me. WOW.  I have been lost.  I do not know what to do.  I do not know what you people want from me.  I do not have any money.  Any money that was made and not paid out went to running the business.  I can not work anywhere because you people will post more or call them.   ANYONE CAN POST ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONE ON THIS WEBSITE AND NOBODY SHOULD EVER CARE WHAT IT SAYS.  That has been what I felt since 2009 when I first found the sight while working for as VP of sales at another agency.

SO HERE IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION.  IF I HAVE HARMED YOU.  IF I OWE YOU SOMETHING. ANYTHING AT ALL. AN APPOLOGY. PRAYER. MONEY. RESPECT. A HUG. A JOB. I will be willing to do whatever it takes to right my wrong.  Be creative.  However, once I have paid the debt off to you.  You agree to stop and or delete all of your postings.  Also, if I do not owe you a dime.  You should just be shamed of yourself and stop.  If I have hurt your feelings bring it to God and pray.  He will forgive you and I will too.  It is Easter.  I want a clean slate.  This is my email address that I have set up so you can email to me what you would like me to do to make right the wrong that I have done.

These 2 posts are pretty interesting.  If we are to believe Jeff's post above, he was the innocent victim of his terrible partner, who is the one who did all of these awful things...wait a minute, that all happened at Stillwell & Stone.  What about the clients that weren't paid by J.B. Mikel and Associates, or Goldman Pearce?  Also, despite the statement that "I filed bankruptcy and they kept dragging it on and on and on.  I withdrew my petition to file.", this just isn't true.  Bankruptcy court records are available to the public...the discharge was DENIED.  Those same records list over $2 Million owed to former clients.

And Brian, if that's your real name (doubtful), you seem to be implying that you or someone intends to pursue a legal claim on the basis of some of the postings on this site.  If that is truly your intent (also doubtful), you should read a little more of the law.  Truth is an absolute defense to a claim of defamation.  If I am not mistaken, another defense is the plaintiff must be able to prove that his reputation was damaged by the act.  If his reputation was already shot, he couldn't be damaged further.  You might want to also read up on the potential costs of bringing a defamation suit, specifically the Anti-SLAPP laws.

What this really sounds like is a pathetic attempt to escape the consequences of one's own actions.  Face it, own it, and attempt to adjust your character and integrity so that some day you might get past it.
