Hang up call to my answering machine. I never pick up.  Caller ID shows Unknown Name.  From the posts above go to the National Do Not Call web site and report their profane behavior.  There is a reporting link at the web site.  It helps with these kinds of jerks.

Do not press any numbers to speak with anyone, simply hang up.  They are trying to gain your personal information as part of a scam.  If you can screen the calls, do so and don't answer.  If you happen to answer the the pitch begins, simply hang up.  They are not true telemarketers, they are scam artists.

original call came from 972-300-0001, at the prompt for low credit card interest rate on existing credit cards, was transferred to a "card member services"  rep named " Arthur McGill" who claimed because my credit score was over 800 as reported by Experian and I just needed to verify my credit card by reading him the numbers off the card so he could verify that I am the original card holder.  I asked him who he was calling and he gave me his name as mentioned above. So I asked again, who are you speaking with, what is my name?  He got upset and told me once I gave him the card number that he could pull up my monthly statement and tell me anything I wanted to know.  I bid him a good day and hung up.  Within 2 minutes the phone rang again, this time from 917-333-0000.  I answered and a guy claiming to be Arthur's supervisor "Sean Rivera" ID #BL9300, demanded to know why I hung up on him. I stated that I considered this to be a solicitation and that I was on the National DNC list at which point he stated this is not a solicitation and hung up... Both of these guys have heavy India accents and their so called names don't match

I always blacklist these caller ids, so at least they can't call again, but lately I've thought maybe a better way to get them to stop calling is to waste their time by talking to them.

I couldn't believe how rude they were once I wouldn't give him my credit card number.  I guess I should make up a number and see if I can waste any more of their time.

I agree that the do-not-call list doesn't work.  Even when I have a company name, address, phone number, etc. they still won't prosecute them.  I've talked to people from the do-not-call list office, and they agree that most of the time they can't do anything about it.  Your tax dollars at work.

Got a call from 972-300-0001, got up out of bed to answer, answering machine picked up.   No message.   Also, I am on the do not call list.  I usually try my best to sell them my 1982 flood water damaged totally ruined 1982 VW rabbit for $25,000.00.  I got all day to waste.   Make sure you don't let them speak, I play the game well.  Usually after my 10 seconds of nonsense, they tell me they don't want a car.  I remind them they called me and I have a car to sell..FOR only $25,000.. I may even come down for them today only for $24,998.94.   and what ever they have, got or are selling....I'm not interested.   Never takes long and usually never hear from them again.

This guy should be put in jail, and throw the key out into the ocean.

We keep receiving unwanted calls from this number. We have already put our number on the state and national Do Not Call list. When we asked for our number to be removed from their list, the call hung up. This particular company has received numerous complaints which can be easily researched by typing this phone number into Google or another search engine.

got robocall from 972-300-0001 caller ID said "UNKNOWN NAME" on Wednesday 03-05-14 @ 346 PM.

This was the third call today from 'Card Services and from a third different phone phone number.
Message started with "This is David with Card Services. You can lower your Interest rate to as low as 1.2%. All you have to do is press the 9 key now". If you do not want to be called press the 3 key. So I press the 9 key and all I got was "Dead Air"

When they call and you answer have a police whistle ready and when you push 9 or whatever number they give you and a live person comes on the phone blow the whistle as loud and as long as you can - they hang up. Do it every time anyone like this calls. I keep a whistle upstairs and one downstairs at the ready.  They don't like it? Ask me if I care!!!  

My approach is to string them along and pretend interest. Then, when they ask for my credit card number, I tell them I have to go get it. I went to get it today by relieving myself, and then going to check on the laundry.

Remember, don't waste yours; work on the computer, answer your E-mail, or go to the toilet while they wait on hold.

Blowing a whistle doesn't hurt the person at the other end; the volume is limited by the phone receiver. I think one of THEM did that to ME when he realized I was stringing him along to waste his time. I didn't know what the noise was at first, but it certainly did not reach the pain threshold.

§ 2706.  Terroristic threats.
       (a)  Offense defined.--A person commits the crime of
    terroristic threats if the person communicates, either directly
    or indirectly, a threat to:
           (1)  commit any crime of violence with intent to
       terrorize another;
           (2)  cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly or
       facility of public transportation; or
           (3)  otherwise cause serious public inconvenience, or
       cause terror or serious public inconvenience with reckless
       disregard of the risk of causing such terror or
       inconvenience.

I saw somewhere that the threat had to be "credible," but the fact that they said they knew where you live certainly makes it easier to convict them if they are caught.
