It's a credit card company called "HSBC Card Services." in Salinas California.  Their number is 800 477 1024

How do you get this number from calling I tried everything, I just got this call and being on the DNC list  is a freaking joke. I pay for this line and if I want a lower interest rate I will go to my bank. Someone needs to take some action I guess Maybe if I forward this call  to  the Attorney General Office and even  to the Senators office too. See how they like it.

They resort to hang-ups when you ask to be put on the do not call list. Then they call you back the next day.

CREDIT SCAM!!! I have $0 credit card debt. How can they lower interest rate on a 0 balance??? Never buy on credit, if you can't afford it, don't buy it! Pay the balance  in full every month. Unless you are terminally ill, then charge 'em up and don't worry about ever paying... These people are lower than low. People need to earn a buck but these people pray on the elderly and unfortunate. You can post here safely, DO NOT ANSWER these calls!

It came up as unknown on the caller ID and my answering machine picked up before I could. They didn't bother leaving a message. They hung up right away. I'm so sad now. In fact, I'm so sad I think I'll report them!

978-570-2339 has called a few times and never left a message.  Reading all the complaints on this page has made me want to block their number from calling me.  I have no outstanding debts but my daughter recently died & she has some.  There is no "Estate" & since she was 50 yrs old, I'm not responsible for her death.  She had given my name & number in the past as a contact.

Just another annoying jerk or jerkess as the case may be....just let it go to vm, they never leave a message.  I also am on NO CALL LIST.  Yep, think it does any good???

I got the same thing as chaca57, dead line, no one at the other end.

I recently ported my landline to a wireless service.  Not only is this number on the DO NOT CALL list, but they are calling a wireless number which is ILLEGAL!

Complaining to anyone will get you nowhere fast.  If you have no prior business relationship with them they may be in violation of the TPCA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act).  Contact a local attorney familiar with this law and make these jerks pay you (and the attorneys fees, its part of the statute)

they have been harassing my office for months; even had one of the phone numbers changed and it has not stopped; its just a telephone ringing for as long as the answering machine works, now I have the number as the line they used did not have caller ID--guess what is going to happen to them?

Received a call at 8:51am, 20May2011 from: 978-570-2339, "Credit Services". Just another credit card scam. Do Not Give them any information! Feel free to mess with them.

Just got a call from "Credit Services" with this phone number showing in the Caller ID window.  I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the name or number.  I'm also on the do not call list.  Don't even use credit cards so it makes no sense for them to be calling me...

I received a call from this number today, and they said it was "Card Services" and I could lower my interest rate to 6.9% if I had a $3500 balance on my Mastercard or Visa.  They said they needed to verify that I was the primary card holder, and asked for the expiration date on my card.  I gave it to him, and he said "yes, that's right", then he asked for the last 10 digits of my account number.  Well, even though there are 16 numbers, I didn't think it was safe to do that, so I hung up.  He called right back from number 310.388.6861 and said "You didn't have to hang up on me".  It was super creepy, and although I'm glad that I didn't give the guy any more information, I'm pretty sure I will now be getting their daily phone calls.  That is, until I report them.

I am very sick and disabled and this number called me and woke me up for no reason. I am on the no call list.

CREDIT SERVICES.. Predatory scums of the earth........ call back for an automated answer and press 1 to no longer receive their offers. That works for about two weeks then they call back again. I am now going to the FTC and escalate. I have 10 plus reports of this same company in the National Do Not Call Registry. Obviously the Registry is simply a farce.........

I'm on do not call list but get many of these 'urgent - reduce your rate' calls and I'm sick of it.  Not sure how many 'companies' or numbers these originate from but today this was one.  I know I've spoken with them before - 'Visa and Mastercard Services' they say their name is.  Can't find them when I look them up.  Another call the other day was from 'Card Member Services'.  Are these the same people and what can be done to stop these annoying calls.    

If anyone wants to try to keep them on the line to do what's suggested on another post - which I love (done it before :) tell them you're paying more in interest rates than what they ask, and if they ask whether you owe 3500.00 or more - try saying 'no'.  I said yes - trying to keep them on the line - but it was the wrong answer....

Same thing as always. Legitimate companies follow the rules - if you're on the national do not call list and you get a call from people like this you can bet the party on the other end isn't legit.

How in the world do these people get your cell phone number when you do not give it out to anyone?  I received a call early this morning and when I answered, they hung up. Perhaps it was the tone of my voice that scared them off, but I do not want any more calls from these people.  This has been going on for quite awhile.
